Best EU electronics retailer

alza has very competitive pricing and extremely fast delivery time like next-day delivery even tho I live 350+km from the warehouse the return experience is also very good I returned a solid state drive that stopped working after 18 months and got a full refund with no questions asked overall very happy with the experience anytime I need some electronics alza is the first place I look

Tops!

Alza.cz has been here for at least 15 years and I've seen them grow from a tiny company to the biggest and best electronics company here. Great selection, great web site easy to order from. Their return policy is great, many times I order a few similar items that have been unsealed to compare and then the l return the one I don't want. They have self service boxes all over Prague in case I don't have time to pick up at their showroom.

I went to Alza in Nivy

I went to Alza in Nivy, Bratislava on Thursday, 30 March to purchase a new iPhone 14 pro. The agent who helped me was extremely nice, he spoke English, he explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. I asked about the insurance as I was still considering whether I should pay €180 extra for it or not. He assured me that it's a good insurer and that most of their claims are paid out so I ended up getting that as well. We had to order the phone since it wasn't in stock. I went today, 1st of April to pick up my phone and upon receiving it, the guy behind the counter advised me to get an additional insurance for €140 because then if I claim anything, my phone will be replaced immediately instead. He also said that this is best because sometimes the insurer refuses claims when it comes to an underlying problem on iPhones side.
I didn't fully understand and had to ask again why I have to have extra insurance even after paying €180.
Eventually I said I don't have €140 now and that I can't pay that, he gave me such a bad attitude and turned around and walked away. He was so rude.
Then I walked to another agent to ask if they could help me put my screen protector on, he told me I have to pay for that, I said I would. Then he gave me attitude and said, "ok but then come back tomorrow" even though it was still half an hour before closing time.

I don't understand why everyone is so friendly before you pay €1400 for things.... And then upon receiving it, everyone treats you poorly.
Really bad customer service.

NEVER AGAIN

Terrible experience, NEVER AGAIN! I will rather order from Amazon from now on than bet on this local wannabe sell it all company.

I made a call on 28.12. morning to their support about a product, they assured me that if I order ASAP, I will get it by 30.12. end of the day latest. I went to their store, made order there within hour, again, they assured me I will get it by Friday end of the day latest. This was crucial as I planned to travel Saturday afternoon and had no one to pick it up after this day.

However the order was showing as not reserved yet in the app. I contacted their support several times, called them 4 times, some support agents were really nice, others were outright rude and treated me as if I was stupid - just wait for the update or can't you check in the app? Seriously! One agent even told me check in the app in 10 minutes, you can do that right? He didn't even listen to my question!

And of course, even today they couldn't confirm whether my order will be delivered or even if they are able to secure the stuff I ordered with their 3rd party partner. Which I don't care about because I shop with them, not other store.

Due to time constraints I was forced to order different item from them. If I knew this to begin with, I would have made my order with different store and already had my item. But I put my trust in Alza, as they promise swift delivery. Oh, and don't you dare send me an apology coupon priced at 4 euros. I ordered stuff for more than 600 euros! That is a bloody joke! You cost me my time, energy and peace of mind. I will rather shop with Amazon which at least has proper support.

Very much recommended

Used Alza many many many times, and I can't say a single bad thing about it. It was always processed very fast (usually up to 2 days), and everything was always in order. I'm usually using either store pick-up or Alza Box pick up - very recommended since you product arrives usually on the next day you placed your order.

ALZA.SK is the WORST EVER .. and still IS

again fell for it, gave ALZA another chance and they mess me around like a 'I-don't-know-what'.

A simple order was made to pick up as ALZA is unable to do decent deliveries or at least commit to a normal timeline or when they say a time you can add some days to it- so I thought pick up would be easier.

Then they remove an items without notifying me and it was the main reason for the order - so when I contacted me they said I will have to reorder said items but can pick up the other items in the meantime -- that was lies as they completely cancelled my order and created a new one due to some stock issues and invoices being issued - even though I already received sms to pick up the stuff - so again wasted trip.

Then I get an agreement that new order will be ready on multiple time on thursday, then after numerous delay after delay after delay it was moved to Friday and then after delay and delay it was moved to Sunday - first in the morning and then afternoon and then evening and now moved to Tuesday - totally messing me about.

I called many times and all the time lies lies lies -or they have no idea - Joachim tells me items is at the location and they preparing it for delivery , then a Michael tells me an hour later that the good have just arrived and will be delivered , then I get email items delayed for 2 hours - then I get email that it's delayed for 2 more days,

What kind of business is this that a simple order and dates cannot be honoured. Not sure if this is in Europe or some third world country with delivery issues this is not the first, second, nor third time this has happened, and when I contact Alza they cannot help, not appear to not even care. Joachim told me well he will be going home soon so I will have to wait for a reply. Nice I have been waiting for DAYS AND DAYS. But I guess ALZA does really not care. Below just a few cases of being messed about.

I must be the dumbest man on earth - again I give ALZA a try and what is the first message I get after making another order;

Vazeny zakaznik, zistili sme oneskorenie pri dodani vasej obj. 465374774. Najneskôr do 2 hodin vas budeme informovat. Viac informacii sme vam poslali emailom.

This is the true definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over, and expecting a different outcome.

ALZA this is not funny anymore - Delays are your Default. Customer care IS NOT your priority and you are unable to make good on any deadlines or orders.

Previous order I went into the store to finally pick up - had to almost wait an hour with the most unfriendly staff you can find (probably not their fault as ALZA is super understaffed and unwell equipped.

There is no delivery time. I've been waiting for almost two weeks

I already ordered goods from Alza and they were delivered quickly, but I did not expect that by ordering an "assembly service" I would have to wait for almost two weeks for an unknown amount of time.

Wherein:
- there is no end date for assembly or delivery, the order status is simply "We are tending to your order". Order number 464 218 279;
- the Alza consultant did not call me back, who promised to clarify the terms with the assembly department;
- Alza is ignoring my contact through their customer service despite their promise to respond within 48 hours. Case number CCT18756164;

Conclusions:
- never pay in advance at Alza;
- never order a PC assembly service or any Alza services in general;

Not enough consultants in (Mlynske Nivy)

The shop in Bratislava (Mlynske Nivy) is quite big, but I don't understand why there are so few people working. There are only 2 people on the first floor, and 1 person on the second. They are always busy and sometimes it takes shout 10-20 minutes to ask a 2-minute question. And almost none of them speak English, which is also very strange in 21-st century

Great Shop!

Quick delivery, acceptable prices, good website and large range of products to choose from.

Never had a bad experience, the customer support is nice and friendly, there were no problems with returns, claims or anything at all.

Alzabox-es work well also, and there are a bunch in my location.

The only downside in my opinion is price, sometimes the products can be a little pricier that other shops, but nothing too out of the ordinary...

Regular customer

Regular customer. Prices may be a bit higher then those of the competitors. However I always prefer to buy everything possible on alza. The delivery is super fast (sometime the same day), the selection of items is huge and I never had any problem with the delivery on time. Alza boxes are everywhere and these are my preferred choice of delivery. In general, good company and I highly recommend it if you have alzabox nearby.

Star Wars Black Series arrived resealed and not new

Just bought a Star Wars Black Series Obi-Wan Kenobi as new, sealed. Just opened the envelope I received it in. It was resealed with some clear tape all around it’s bottom and there is visibly dirt inside the “sealed” product. Obviously a customer return which was unsealed by a customer and now sold as new. Very unhappy about it. Like my LEGO order a few weeks ago which arrived with a punch hole in the box (8-10 cms opening) although the outer envelope it came in was unharmed. The Lego was obviously a damaged item sold on full price. Gave them another chance, but now I am done. ALZA.SK… goodbye!

Could be better

Since they started the 'favourable price guarantee' their prices are fair, range of goods is immense and extra services like extended warranties and immediate swap of faulty products are great, but their customer service is horrible and deliveries can be a problem too. They also once just cancelled my order without prior warning and if you already paid then getting your money back is a lengthy process especially because of their horrible costumer service. I've also encountered several cases of order delivery getting pushed back to the following day only to then get pushed back again. They could also deliver bigger products that had to be sent for repair or exchange during warranty to you instead of making you bring the product to them and then taking it back from the store yourself again. Their 'AlzaBoxes' are very convenient tho (basically safeboxes around the city where you can pick up your order so you don't have to go to the store or pay too much for delivery). I guess it's good 90% of the time but when something goes wrong in the 10% it's a pain to resolve it. Would score 3.5/5 if I could.

Delivery time change now 6 times and i still don't have parcel. horrible customer service when calling customer service. Spoken with Veronika, and couldnt provide me any reasonable information. Wanted to speak with supervisor, there was nobody, but after keep asking for manager there was answer that manager is busy.
Unbelievable bad customer service. please avoid this shop to save your self a lot hussle!

Dishwasher broke exactly after 2 years

Dishwasher broke exactly after 2 years! A day or two after 2 year warranty ends. We PAID EXTRA for 2 yr warranty. Total nightmare to return item (whole process). Only to have to return dishwasher ourself in car. Then to be told 10 days later "No Faults" were founds, when it was clearly leaking and only completing 75% of cycle. Bosch and Alza are now on our BlackList, wont ever be buying anything from these brands ever again AVOID ALAZA!
