Amazon Fresh is Definitely not Convenient Nor Beneficial for Disabled and Elderly People in Gainesville, Virginia 20155!

Claiming when being delivered that they are out of some items even though their website states they are in stock. The driver, who was late, called me on the security panel but refused to speak and identify himself. He did this twice. Somebody obviously let him in. He comes down the hall with some man screaming at him through his iPhone. He doesn't speak to me. I ask him about the items that you claim are out of stock. He looks at me with a look of disdain as the man is still screaming at him through the iPhone and tells me "you have to go on the app because I am only the driver!", and he quickly leaves with the man still screaming nonstop at him through the iPhone. I pay way too much for what you are willing to take off your shelves for my order until your staff get too tired and decide they don't want to finish getting my order ready and just claim they are out of the product! I am also paying for a driver who is pleasant and doesn't bring his problems out onto the field with him. I am not asking for your staff, whether they be the delivery person or your warehouse staff who want the paycheck but not do the work to kiss my gluteus Maximus. All I am asking for is groceries with basic civility, honesty, ethics, and respect. Can you imagine if I treated your staff this way? You wouldn't like it, and I would NEVER consider treating ANY OF YOU like garbage and an easy paycheck like you do to me! Furthermore, this is not the first time you claim you don't have the product when you do have the product. Amazon Fresh, you have a double standard. It is NOT ok! I certainly hope Jeff Bezos never treated or treats his elderly parents the way his staff treat his elderly, disabled, sick, and terminally ill customers! SHAME ON YOU!!!!!

The answer? Is to buy inferior vegetables that are going to be grown by people in their private gardens sold at little tiny farmers markets or trucks on the side of the road

In all fairness and I really like to be fair, I placed a large order of 230 some dollars on Amazon fresh this very morning January 1st 2026. I have to tell you that while shopping online I went down Rose and Rose and Rose of groceries things that people buy every day such as chicken size a bag of oranges or clementines and all they keep having underneath is "out of stock". They did this during the pandemic although I know Amazon fresh is going to probably close down, it's so frustrating even after shopping for someone to send you a thing that the simply Orange juice 36 Oz is in limited supply what am I supposed to do knowing that call a personal shopper who shopping for me and say hurry up grab that orange juice cuz there's only one left? 🤣 I never stole supermarkets online or in person that are out of stock on almost every other item you want. This is something they do deliberately I've lived long enough to know that it's a ploy to close businesses to up their prices by telling us they can't get these products are in short supply and please don't blame Trump tariffs for God's sake America grows its own oranges in Florida its own farms across America with the food is being rejected and not ordered so they can continuously grab junk coming in across the border or down at the ports from other countries that are twice as expensive sometimes three times is more expensive than what America grows while America is great big vegetables are being sent overseas or pics so early that they're green even our potatoes are greenish and they shouldn't be that means they're being radiated and sprayed to stop them from ripening too quick before they get them to market it's a ridiculous ploy that's ruining American foods and taking and growing vegetables that have absolutely no fragrance no taste whatsoever. Amazon fresh is now at the very bottom of where you should shop and you know as well as I do why because they were giving it to us for really good prices really cheaper than any other supermarket now that they know that and it's been all over the news they're going to close it down open up other stores and make sure that they charge us more so they can get a bigger share of the profits it's all about money in America. And that's the problem with our country.

I have ordered from Amazon many times I have never had one problem. Produce is fresh frozen products still frozen and delivered to my door within 3 hours. I hate going to the grocery store where have to check out my order and bag it load in the car and drive it home.

If I could give a negative star I would. I was shopping at Amazon Fresh in Oceanside NY and frankly no one at that store knows where anything is. On top of that, I can never buy the same products week after week. I really think that this store is a laundering of money store. Horrible service and the people working there are just plain stupid.

Amazon fresh deserve a law suit….they are hiring people during a investigation they have the individuals that’s under investigation training the new comers during the time of investigation these staff that’s under investigation is training the new comers the wrong way teaching them things that are not good but not telling them it’s not allowed this is setting the new comers up for failure the outcome was the new comers were trained wrong given wrong information and now suffered paying out of pocket unexpectedly being suspended the terminated there were three severe punishment for new comers to be set up for failure amazon deserve a wrongful termination lawsuit because why gave individuals that’s being investigated allowed to train others this is absurd it lacks proper training, it’s absurd and ridiculous that ppl that’s not aware being trained wrong is. ring held accountable there was not even a intervention to inform new comers there’s a investigation or to avoid this completely and not gave ppl under investigation training amazon look out for a law suit

The decline of service

I am writing today because we have had many food deliveries and there is always a damaged item, such as, a broken egg or crushed loaf of bread. We can understand those small issues and we are thankful for whole process and convenience. So, we never make a complaint. This day was different because at 7:26 pm, we received notification that our groceries were delivered and left with our doorman. I immediately proceeded to the lobby and nothing had been delivered. This has happened often but it’s basically a timing issue and within 5-10 minutes the delivery man walks into our lobby. This time, I waited 40 minutes and no delivery arrived. We called an Amazon helpline and felt uncomfortable because the reception insisted that the delivery was made to the doorman. She asked us for a picture of the delivery but none was sent. There has been a decline in packaging, time of deliveries and no delivery. If this poor customer service becomes the standard of deliveries. We will be changing our food shopping options.

Straw that broke the camels back.

Ive been a subscriber to the grocery service for a while now. It has gone completely down hill recently. 3 out of 5 deliveries, the delivery driver does not follow instructions and says its undeliverable... when I leave clear instructions.

Often what I order is out of stock which happens but it happens very frequently. Unfortunately their customer service is abysmal.

I am currently in a customer service chat for an order where they not only did not deliver, when I called they reordered my delivery for 9 hours later... with 2 items that were originally in my order and a 2 dollar increase in one of the items...

My chat experience was 4 different people who kept randomly leaving chat and sending a new person in. Zero offers of fixing the price increase, no offers to call the illiterate delivery person and fix it, no reasonable offers at all.

Keep in mind I pay a subscription fee for this service and tip the drivers... I think at this point Amazon Fresh is a frustrating experience that isnt worth a subscription to.

Downhill lately. I have been using Fresh delivery for…

I have been using Fresh delivery for about 2 years. It was fine until the last 2 orders. I check the box that says either do not substitute or replace with xyz. these last 2 orders they replaced items with things I specifically said do not substitute. Instead of leaving it off of my order they tried to replace it with something. An example I wanted powdered hazelnut creamer they sub with french vanilla liquid cups even though I said no sub. Also a major issue chat with customer svc transferred 6 times and I gave up. There is also an issue with the repeat items feature I can not remove an item from repeat. I gave up and will never go back. I will go to Walmart Winn Dixie Publix Target

Amazon Grocery Sucks!

They don't even deserve one star! Out of 6 orders for groceries, 3 of them had cancelled items and one had broken eggs. What makes it even worse is they tell you they'll deliver later, but never do. They end up cancelling it altogether after you've waited 8 hours, leaving the customer without their needed items. Tonight they said they'd deliver overnight between 4am and 8am. They seriously suck! I just returned the items to cancel cause I already knew if I did actually get them they'd be ruined overnight. Did I mention they suck?

Always “Out of Stock”

I have been using Amazon Fresh grocery delivery for about a year now. Most of the time it’s a good service. However, they are CONSTANTLY out of stock on items. I was just submitting an order for groceries that I wanted to use in a recipe tomorrow. And sure enough, they were out of stock on a key ingredient - kiwis. On other orders, they’ve been out of frozen cherries, the brand of organic milk I use, frozen, blueberries, prepared soups & meals I like, Romano cheese, classic hummus, etc., etc. etc. what is the deal Amazon? You get all kinds of products to people all over the world. But you can’t keep your grocery store stocked? Really? I just renewed the service for the next year, so I’ll continue to use it but may discontinue it.

Amazon Fresh delivery service has gone…

Amazon Fresh delivery service has gone downhill. The past orders there were constant substitution options to my order or they we out of stock. Today I had a delivery order time from 8pm-10pm. Just received a message that they will have to reschedule my delivery to Friday. This is unacceptable and very I'm disappointed, because my time was wasted. I have cancelled the whole order.

Terrible store

Terrible store! They just can't be/do all the things they want. I made a special trip to an Amazon Fresh store - after checking the Fresh section of the Amazon app to make sure an item I wanted (that was out of stock last week);was in stock this week. According to "corporate" it was in stock but it was NOT on the shelves. The store employees didn't care. A clerk and a manager both just shrugged and said "that happens". It SHOULD NOT happen at a company that is supposedly designed around delivering/providing products! This has happened to me now THREE times.
THEN - you can't really get up and down the aisles because of all the people fulfilling pick up and delivery orders. There is a sign out front that says "your go to grocery store" -- NOPE! Not until they decide what they really want to be - is it a brick and mortar store where I can find the products I want and shop without hassle - or are you a delivery company.

Oh - and - the manager had the audacity to say that they don't carry everything in the store that Amazon has online - does that idiot not know how the app works??? I specifically clicked into Amazon Fresh!!! So - stupid, arrogant employees who don't care - and stupid arrogant "corporate" just hoping to win a numbers game.

Never again

Delivery was more than hour late from the scheduled delivery window ( I made sure to be home at that time so I can bring it in, since most of the products had to be refrigerated). Only part of the order delivered and fresh produce items were either spoiled or smushed all over the bag. Item that stated “delivered” was missing. (Waiting for the refunds)
The rest of the order should be delivered “later” (when no one is home SMH). Will see how that goes.
Never ordering from them again!

I have been shopping at Amazon fresh on Topanga Canyon Boulevard in Woodland Hills, California for years. I am extremely disappointed the last couple of weeks they’re just not stocking their food. There’s nothing there. I talked to the people who work there and some of them told me that corporate is not sending them enough food to stock their shelves. I have other markets close by that I’m going to go to now because of the horrible job Amazon Fresh is doing recently. I have been a real loyal customer to Amazon fresh but now I’m going to go to Ralph’s, Target, Walmart, Trader Joe’s you name it. What happened to Amazon fresh?

I live in Queens

I live in Queens, New York near an Amazon facility. I ordered in the morning and requested delivery between 6 and 8 PM. Never got it. Then I got a notation that it will still be delivered that evening. I was the next stop. Never got it now it’s going to be delivered between 5 AM and 7 AM. Oh great. I just got home from the hospital after six daysand this is not what I expected.

If they are trying to lose customers…

If they are trying to lose customers with their endless loop of transfering customer service, they are succeeeding! Half the time I need 6 reps to return a rotten tomoato, and thats after trying to find customer service link for 20 minutes, they do it intentioanlly because they know you have no time and want you to give up. Absolute disaster in customer service. I unfortunately end up lowering the tip if I cant get anyone to help. Pay for prime and get slime.

Delivery didn't arrive and they made no effort to give me a decent time the next day

I scheduled a same day delivery for the only time slot which was available which was 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. I received a message at about 9:00 that it was out for delivery but didn't expect it til closer to 11:00 .. well slightly after 11:00 I fell asleep and woke up at about 1:00 a.m. wondering if my delivery had come I looked outside my door and it wasn't there, only to find a message that the delivery was not coming. they rescheduled it for late night the next day and I have no hope that it will arrive again because these guys probably get tired and go home or lose the delivery when it's a late night delivery. I was always singing the Praises of Amazon Fresh but I will no longer. it's garbage because when I spoke to customer service they couldn't squeeze me in for earlier the following day, today. they should leave some room to squeeze in people that they let down but they don't or at least they don't even try. They actually offered to give me $5. I told them to keep their $5.
