Tim has caused me a lot of financial pains, thanks to his amazing work with Aston Martin & Hasselblad that’s fuelled my love for both brands!

I first got to know of Tim about a decade ago when I stumbled upon a creative work of his depicting an Aston Martin in B&W in front of some weird building.

I’ve since followed Tim’s work meticulously, to learn how does he do it, and have attended one of his workshops that was hosted in UK in collaboration with Hasselblad UK. This workshop I actually flue to UK, all the way from Saudi Arabia, just to attend it to meet-up with Tim and to learn from him some of his skills!

While the workshop was only a few hours but was ample enough to showed just how well structured, organised, and catering to address the audience, with a no-nonsense attitude.

My admiration for Tim isn’t just because of his mastery of the art and science of photography, but his business acumen stands out too. Regretfully, I wasn’t able to attend his recent seminar on business as it was focused for a specific university class while also being at a time when Covid is restricting our travels; but that’s one topic I would cross continents, again, to attend with him.

Following from that, and during the Covid lockdowns, I have been toying with the idea of building my own studio on a plot of land I own; Tim was first person I thought of reaching out to. Sure enough, and as expected, he was more than helpful in guiding me to sources and advice. If this project takes off, I will certainly seek his consultation.

Back to the financial pains, his skills make me want to go out and buy every car he’s photographed; somehow, I just can’t seem to stretch my wallet to accommodate!

Tim did a talk about his work to my Photography degree students at The Northern School of Art in March 2021. He is a great speaker, providing the students with a whole raft of inspirational, creative and relevant practical insight alongside his greatly accomplished images. The student feedback was overwhelmingly positive, summed up by "Thanks so much for such a fantastic motivational talk! So much brilliant advice." Thanks Tim.

After attending various workshops with Tim, I asked him for a 1-1 session. During the time we spent together nothing was off limits and Tim was incredibly generous in sharing his vast knowledge of everything from the advertising industry through to website SEO and invoicing, as well as some editing tips just for good measure.

I still refer back often to the notes I made from our session. Tim was incredibly helpful and his advice has really improved my own photography business.

I work at Light + Byte in Zurich, one of the leading providers of photography workshops in Switzerland. Over the years we have hosted a lot of international photographers who teach – and Tim is easily one of my all time favorites. He is quite simply a joy to work with. We had him over multiple times to teach various seminars on automotive photography, retouching and business. Each and every time, I was extremely impressed. Not only is Tim Wallace one of the world's premiere automotive photographers - his client portfolio speaks for itself! - but he's an excellent instructor. That's pretty unique, because there are a ton of great photographers out there that simply can't convey useful lessons for those of us with a lot less experience.

I've taken a couple of classes from Tim and I came out of both sessions with techniques and knowledge that made immediate impacts on my own skills and business. Tim's classes have been the most valuable in honing my own skillset out of all the classes I've taken, hands down - and not just in my automotive photography, but in everything I shoot.

Very knowledgeable and grounded

I have known Tim through the internet for many years. I have watched his courses through Scott Kelby's site and anywhere else he may share.

I am far from a professional but I can still benefit from Tim's teaching because he doesn't talk over your head. He is relatable and easy to follow, he is encouraging and challenges you to do your best.

All the while he lets you know it won't be easy, it may not be simple, but you can learn and improve.

Glad I took the chance years ago and reached out to him, I have never regretted it.

I loved watching Tim work - his use of lighting is really creative and he's just a great guy to work with. He's got so much experience that he can really advise you on the best way to achieve the look you want - and let you know if he doesn't think something would work. His Photoshop skills are also excellent and you can tell he enjoys his job. Highly recommend him!!!
