UPDATED 9-29-20 READ THE STEPS I AM GOING THROUGH, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY MORE MONEY AFTER THE PROGRAM ENDS

I said I would update as I went so here is the latest.

1. The original agreement was if I paid Anchor $515.00 a month for 3 years ( $18,540) my debt from 4 credit cards which totaled ($24,650) would be taken care of.

2. On 7/18/18 they missed a court date which allowed my account to be levied for roughly $1,000 plus over draft fees,(they did not pay me back)

3. My last payment of $515.00 is due Oct 2020. As of that time only 2 of the 4 creditors have been paid and there is roughly $1,500 in the program after they took their cut.

4. On 9-1-20 they settled with creditor 3 of 4 however there is not nearly enough money in the program. So starting Nov 2020 (the month after what was suppose to pay my last payment) I now have to pay an additional $697.00 a month directly to that creditor until May 2021.

5. In the end not only did I destroy my credit score, I will be paying more then the $24,650 original total. So, I have to ask what happened to the originally agreement where if you pay $18,540 (3 years at $515 a month). Why am I now paying more then what the original total was? Why was this never brought up in the beginning?

A very helpful customer service agent

This is a review of my experience this morning with the customer service agent who assisted me. Unfortunately, I don’t remember her name. My experiences have not always been helpful. However, this agent went out of her way to resolve the problem. She was helpful and extremely courteous and a pleasure to deal with.

Quick response but inconsistent information

Quick response--thank you! However, I received conflicting information from my last call, so I will see what call #3 results in. I am trying to pay off one or two of my settlements that currently have monthly payments to creditors (I did not know these still appear on credit agencies as unpaid for the month, so we are trying to eliminate these black marks on our credit). We were first told Anchor would request a pay-off amount from our creditors. I called today to get that started, was told it couldn't happen today, and I had to fight for a pay-off (was told it would just get added to our Anchor account until I asked otherwise). I still need to call back on Monday to see what I am told then.

This is the worst company ever

This is the worst company ever. After they got their retainer I never heard from them again. A settlement fell through and no one told me so I got sued by Bank of America. Anchor said do nothing, we will handle it. By the the time a negotiator got involved it was too late and my wages were garnished. Then when my contract expired in May, I called constantly to get it extended to pay off the rest of my debts... almost 3 months later I still couldn’t get a call back so I cancelled. Once I cancelled my contract I finally had decent service from supervisor Megan... but besides her this company sucks, and I’m sorry but I would not recommend anchor law firm to my worst enemy.

Representative spoke as if she was frustrated

I didn't appreciate how the representative spoke to me when answering the questions that I had. The representative provided me with information that required me to ask questions, she sounded frustrated and and unpleasant in 2 of the concerns questions that I had.

Good afternoon

Good afternoon

I would like to let you know that I’m very unhappy with your company.
I have a program for 3 years to pay of my creditors and this month is my last payment and I still have account is not settled yet and is the higher accounts and my savings accounts don’t have much money there.
The company didn’t do the job they told me 3 years ago and I want some paperwork and solutions for my accounts.
I’m very disappointed with this.

What can I say

What can I say? Anchor Law Firm helped me get out of debit, with a payment plan I could afford. The customer service was outstanding! They were always willing to help me. It is embarrassing that I let my credit card debt get so bad, but they never judge me and really did want to help me get out of debt.
I thank them for that!

The customer service people that I have…

The customer service people that I have needed to speak to have done what they can to help and have been polite, etc. except for those that promised to call me back and have not. Like when I spoke to Afori last week he promised that I would get a call back from Barry or himself with an update and that never happened. I also got a call from Sarah Olsen last month and she could not answer any of my questions herself and promised to call me back with answers but has not. I spoke to Alexis today and she tried to be helpful but (not her fault) could not connect me with a supervisor as they were not available at that time she said. She did promise that Gerard would call me today so I hope that he does. I have several other issues with the way my account was handled or more appropriately non handled over the last couple of years as I was served with a lawsuit that I needed to deal with myself and setup a payment plan outside of the payments that I have been making to Anchor. However the monthly payment was not adjusted to reflect this. This is why I was told that I need to speak to a supervisor like Gerald to reconcile this issue.

I haven't had a good experience with…

I haven't had a good experience with Anchor. The reps have been polite, but every time I call, I get a different answer about my account. Currently, I have two creditors remaining on my account. One is in a payoff plan, the other, Barclays, is still pending. I asked for this account to be worked on 18 months ago on Dec 2018. Every time I call about it, the rep gives me a different story. In Feb 2020, I called to make a lump sum to pay it off, and I was told that Barclays is sending it to another creditor and that it could take 30-90 days for a decision. We are over 3 months since that conversation (and many others) and I still don't have an answer. Also, based on the current monthly payments and the additional payments to get creditors pay quicker, I am already $10,000 over what the anchor's contract said I would be paying for the plan. Still awaiting for an answer.

Ryan has been the only Anchor Law firm…

Ryan has been the only Anchor Law firm consultant that has displayed any competency. Prior to Ryan, our account has been in shambles and we were getting prepared to hire legal representation. Our phone calls were never returned, our emails were never acknowledged, and our account was a mess. I must make clear that this rating is only being given for my experience with Ryan.

I have not received any favor from your firm. I have never got the service worth that I paid for. If my telephone response says otherwise, you have grossly overrated yourself. You actually performed below par. You are just too generous to yourself with your survey response you sent me.

david returned my call

david returned my call, he answered my questions and addressed my concerns. we both agreed that i should call again in nov or dec and at that time we would come to a better resolve. david was great and deserves a 5, however, i rated this a 4 because anchor policy could not completely satisfy my needs at this time.

Anchor Lawfirm Keeps Dropping the Ball

The reason I am not leaving 0 stars is because there is no choice to leave less. This is not the first time It has come down to days before the court date of being sued and have heard nothing from Anchor Lawfirm. They have dropped the ball several times before. I pay them good money to handle this and when it doesn't get done I am not happy.
