Program kinks but a customer service star
I am using Anchor Law debt negotiation program. From a program and process perspective, I would give the company a C- overall. They do not really explain what will happen over time for normal human beings, and they do a terrible job defining what my responsibilities should be. And they miss deadlines and make things difficult (documents sent in and received (I tracked via Priority Mail) but still not sent to the legal folks, 3 attempts to send mail before it got there (how address was given to me is not the format needed by the USPS self-service kiosk in my town), I have to track what they are (or are not) doing. My belief is that the lawyers are probably overworked and underwater, and just go from brush fire to brush fire. And while I accept my ultimate accountability for the eventual outcome of the program, some regular communication about what actually has happened or not does not seem like asking for too much. Certainly, there was no lack of communication during the sales cycle....but once the money started flowing to Anchor, it all seemed to stop.
Having said all that, I will say that the Customer Service team does a really fine job doing a very tough, and often thankless front line job. This was especially true this week on Monday. I called to inquire about the most recent set of documents that I sent and knew had been received. Once the phone rep found them in the system, she was able to escalate them to the legal group as they somehow had not triggered the correct next internal process step. (And one does have to wonder why that happened, and how often it happens.) She was responsive, gracious and serene. I cannot remember her name, but she was a star in my experience.

Lousy company
I have been dealing w/this company for exactly a year now, faithfully sending my money in. Not once to I get updated on my account, I am being sued, and have no idea where I stand as far as that go. I call and have to wait for 15mins for someone to get on the phone, and then when they do, they bring up my account and can't tell me anything, they have to put me on hold to go ask someone. Very frustrating, I was told when i signed up that in roughly 7 to 8 months I would start seeing improvement on my credit score....well its gotten worse. Im a single mom who works hard and is doing everything Ive been asked to do, and I have no idea what is going on with my account.

No faith in your program.
I am disappointed in the lack of and/or incorrect information I have been receiving from Anchor Law Firm. I am told accounts have been settled and then told months later they have not. I am given court papers outlining settlement amounts and payment plan, but no payment have been made. I am given different answers each time a call about the same account. I have been told many times that things have slipped through the cracks. I have been promised on many occasions that I would get a call back from a supervisor, but no one calls me back. I am extremely disappointed with your services and have no faith in your program.

I don't have positive feedback
I don't have positive feedback. As nice as your reps are they have been zero help. I've been trying for nearly a month to get my issue resolved and after today's call must wait till Monday for a call back.

Great Customer Service!
The customer service agents at Anchor are always very polite and helpful. The wait time, on average, is just a few minutes. The reason for my call is always resolved before I get off the phone.

Anchor has ignored calls and emails
Anchor has ignored calls and emails, didn't respond to at least 2 court filings and now my wages and bank accounts are garnished. I just reached out to the other law form that owns almost all of my debts because apparently Anchor can't be bothered to do that - why am I paying them again?

I am very frustrated with this firm right now. Trying to reach them by phone involves waiting on hold for an unacceptable amount of time (45 minutes yesterday) only to be told the csr could not help me and the "person" who could would need to call me back....Second time I have been promised a call back for the same issue and I have yet to hear from anyone. The only response I receive from emailing them is an auto response. Really not sure what to do at this point...I am wishing I did a little more research on this company before I trusted them to help.

My experience with Anchor Law Firm has…
My experience with Anchor Law Firm has been a complicated one. At first I was relieved entering the debt relief program. The debt was a result of extenuating circumstances. Now about 15 months into the program I am being sued by 2 of the credit card companies. I call every couple of days for updates, but since I work and call after work I can't get any. I now have a court date set up for the first card I am being sued by and received a letter today that I am being sued by the second credit card company. Now I feel that I would have been better off paying the debt off myself.

When I signed up with Anchor I was kept…
When I signed up with Anchor I was kept abreast of settlements and provided documentation. I recently had a pending court action for another one of my creditors (BOA). My original debt was a little more than $10k. BOA gave my debt to a local law firm who threatened court action and showed my total debt $14k. In less than 2 yrs I was being charged with additional $4k with no explanation. Michael Bunyan handled this and now I still owe $10k / that’s negotiating? Someone dropped the ball and I agreed to a 36 month payments which extends my original contract with Anchor AND there is still the PNC debt that hasn’t been addressed. Once I have completed my BOA debt I will cancel my contract and deal with the last creditor myself. I saved nothing with this bungled BOA debt. I send you $542 a month and this is what I get in return?
Disgusted,
James Green
