Anderson McGuire (Cardonald) has been nothing but Polite Professional and very Helpful from each of their staff, they have gone above and beyond with their assistance, From Initial meeting of Connor and Paul from the Cardonald Staff, nothing was difficult or confusing as most can be at that Initial stage, They were amazing in a very difficult situation. and having being passed on to Laura it got easier to discuss delicate matters in a Friendly Enviroment.... In dealing with Anderson McGuire, I felt I had full impact on my loved ones needs, was treated respectfully and politely and very professionaly.... I have my own Policy elsewhere but I would like to have it tranferred to People you can speak to and be treated respectfully like Anderson McGuire and their amazing staff. Everything is taken care of that you need and taken care of I would happily rate them 25 out of 10 for everything x

This was my first time organising a funeral. It was our mother’s funeral and she had selected Anderson Maguire as her preferred directors. From the undertakers transporting Mum from her home to the final meeting where we went along to collect her ashes, everyone showed the utmost professionalism, warmth and grace. We were looked after Michelle at Anderson Maguire Partick and from the get-go she made us feel supported. Michelle put us at ease; she was sensitive to all personal, financial and spiritual matters. We were able to give my mum a funeral experience totally appropriate to her wishes and ours. Michelle made sure we got a date that worked for us and that all the little details were seen to with care. We would use them again with confidence, when the time comes.

This will be the second time we used Anderson Maguire for a funeral. First was our mums in 2020 second was for our Dads in May 2025. I honestly again can’t thank Gail at the Springburn branch and the rest of the staff enough for all there help, compassion and support they have given to us yet again. Absolutely outstanding service again ! Thank you so so much you made a difficult time so much easier to deal with ! We won’t forget u guys ! ❤️

Michelle who works for anderson macguire partick was amazing she looked after my gran from the beginning until the very end I couldn't thank you enough the service was absolutely beautiful, thank you so much the family and I are so grateful and would recommend you everytime.

A surprisingly disappointing experience.

My father is 101. His care home suggested that it would be helpful to have preparatons in place for his funeral. I decided that a funeral plan with Anderson Maguire would be the best course of action. I had already decided that I wanted one of the two most expensive options when I spoke to a member of staff in their Clarkston Road branch. She was extremely friendly and personable, and tried to be helpful, but had very limited knowledge of funeral plans. She promised to call me back. After almost three weeks without a call, I went back to the branch and was promised a phone call from someone trained in funeral plans. I received the phone call very quickly (from Audrey), asked some questions, and weirdly, was told that that she would speak to a manager and phone me right back (that same day), only to be abandoned again. Yet again, almost three weeks on, still no call back.

Anderson Maguire has a very good reputation in Glasgow, and I made it clear to the two people I spoke to that I was ready and willing to pay either £3,000 or (more likely) £4,000 immediately for a funeral plan if just a couple of my questions could be answered. I didn't expect just to be ignored.

Sadly, the impression I now have is of staff with limited knowledge and who are unresponsive to potential clients. The experience of considering a funeral plan for my father has also made me consider putting arrangements in place also for my husband and for me, but sadly, it seems that Anderson Maguire will no longer be my first choice for any of the plans I buy. I can only be grateful that I have not been having such a dispiriting experience while experiencing the grief of a bereavement.
