My product arrived in less than one week and was a beautiful hinoki wood cherry bark tray. I found it first at another site for more than double the price when I was happy to find it here. This place does not mark up things. Also very delicately packaged.

Ordered a month ago, paid for registered and tracked mail. The website says the goods would arrive within 14 days. The only thing I have received so far is an Order Confirmation email - no tracking number, no dispatch confirmation. I have emailed all of their customer support email addresses, and the CEO himself, and there is no reply. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THESE SCAM ARTISTS.

I ordered around July 15th, I received an email confirmation of my order and that was all. I tried to give them time but eventually I emailed, many times wondering when will my order be shipped; there was no response. This order was a gift for me, which I never received,

Terrible service. They don't respond to any customer queries after payment.

So far I have ordered 'Mizutori hitete Geta Sandal' twice. The delivery arrived on time and in perfect condition. My girlfriend is very happy with the product.

Made an order 10 days ago and still my parcel isnt prepared. I didn't knew Japan has moved to the 5h week knowing they takes at least a month to put 4 handkerchief in an envelop. First and last order.

Still waiting for a purchase made on 09-06-24!! They don't reply to emails!

I placed an order 4 weeks ago and still no news of any parcel.
Impossibel to reach by phone and they don't answer any request E-mails.
I m looking forward to place a claim through Paypal

The Nihon Ichiban website is easy to use and well designed with fabulous Japanese products. The customer care is dodgy at best. The people working there seem to be old school and don’t know modern practice. There is no acknowledgement of your order and no shipping advice until DHL have your package and advise you about their delivery date. In saying that, my orders arrive quickly and are well packed with beautiful products which never disappoint. Some products do not ship for a few weeks but that is stipulated on the website eg. nousaku beer cup (2 weeks).

UPDATED (1 Star to 4 Stars; May 13, 2024): I received the shipment a month after the order date. The item was ordered using their "Registered Mail" shipping option which includes tracking and insurance. Not only did the item take double the delivery time estimate, but the "tracking" did not update after leaving Japan. No tracking was available through Canada Post via the original tracking number despite being delivered via Canada Post. Signature option was forced upon you, so having to pick it up was a hassle also. In addition, as mentioned in the initial review, the company does not have good customer service. They refuse to write, they refuse to respond, and they will ignore your pleas to work with them to get the issue resolved (which was on the assumption that the package got lost after 3 weeks of waiting with no updates).

However - that said, the product I received was as advertised. It was a genuine product from Japan, and it was packed with care. They also included an origami to the package, which I couldn't ignore when writing this review. It certainly shows to the attention to detail they put in when packing their items to ship internationally (in stark contrast to the customer service).

Overall, it was a bumpy ride to getting my order. The experience was far from perfect, and I think the process could've been handled with more professionalism on the company's end (especially considering the shipping was not cheap for small and light items weighing about 500g). With that said, I think I am willing to give this company another opportunity to do better next time.

My order of Japanese peaches came in a leaky bag. There was foam bubble inside. I have reached out to customer service three times within the week. No response. I’ve only asked what I should do as I’m afraid to eat them now. Very sorry to give this bad review but I’ve been quite patient without a single reply.

I placed my order on a Monday and received my package the Thursday of the same week...and I'm on the Eastern seaboard of the US...with stellar packaging of several glass bottles. I received quicker shipping and better packing from them than I usually do from people within my own state or a state or two away...and it's an international shipment! A+ customer service.

I bought a handmade Tsuge Satsuma Boxwood brush + Camellia oil from this seller, the product arrieved only 4 days later in Europe/Scandinavia, much faster than our domestic postale service. The product is exactly as described and wonderful to use ***** 5 stars and the finest recommendation from me

I had never heard of this company before until I was looking to get some wind chimes I got pretty excited about. I was a little hesitant initially but since I couldn’t find them anywhere in the US I decided to give it a try. I have to say it was pretty easy and straight forward. They arrived in literally 4-5 days which was crazy fast. I was very happy with the service and was just looking at some other items to get through their service. The only thing missing is a simple app, but if they did have one I’d probably go broke buying so much!

I really respect the work of the craftsmen, the design with very good quality of woods make it be a very precious art. You won't regret to buy this, especially it's a good choice to be sent as a gift, the receiver would be very happy with it for sure ^^

9 Weeks since the order was placed and still no sign of the goods. They were meant to be here in around 2 weeks via airmail.
The company isn't particularly concerned and so far says its not going to do anything about it. I've given them a week to fix this and if they don't I'm lodging a possible on-line fraud complaint with the Japanese authorities, My advice is do not purchase goods from their website.

To be honest, I was very skeptical about placing an order on anything-from-japan.com. the site was very new to me & there were no reviews available. I read a lot about Nihon Ichiban & Nicolas Soergel..Also, I did check my usual advising sites like scam adiver. The bottle I wanted was Yamazaki Limited Edition 2017 which had a huge difference in selling price as compared to UK. So, I went ahead & took the risk of placing the order. I did get a confirmation. But, nothing more besides that. After 2 days I tried contacting them, the phone did not ring. There was no response when I sent them an email. Which even got me more worried. Finally, I used their contact form & they replied very soon. There was a delay & they kept updating me. It took around 5 days to dispatch but finally it was dispatched & I got the Tracking number as well as a mail from their seevice. I kept checking the tracking info, still not confident enough. Anyways, finally today it showed Final Delivery & as I reached home expecting the bottle to arrive by tommorow, there it was, a parcel from Japan. To be honest, I never trusted the sight till I actually found the bottle inside the package. It was worth every penny as well as worth the risk.
