I fail to see why AOL need to regularly request I "prove" who I am - I have had my same account for at least 20 years. This annoying incessant pop-up rubbish NEVER happens with my Gmail account.

Actually, less than zero. After Yahoo got involved with AOL, one of my inboxes was deluged with spam. Now, if I understand correctly, Yahoo has sold AOL on, so let's hope there is substantial change... See more

Aol Tech Fortress is a Ripoff!

I mistakenly downloaded and installed AOL TECH FORTRESS and totally regreted it! Not only did this app take over my computer, but there is no way on earth to UNINSTALL it! All AOL could do was to give me the name of the developer, but no way to contact them! I finally bit the bullet and bought a brand new computer! Thanks for nothing, AOL!

SORT OUT AOL NEWS TO WHAT IT USED TO BE !!

I commented on AOL News for years but suddenly my comments were not visible to other members from about about August 2022, Now if I try to comment, my comments simply disappear. I have reported the issue on several occasion but to date the issue has not been resolved. AOL News is now a total waste of time and the Help Teams don't care.

My parents are 90 years old and have…

My parents are 90 years old and have been charged $40 mthly for past 13 years even though they tried to cancel an AOL service back in 2010. My mother couldn't remember her old email address so AOL said they couldn't cancel the service. My mom not knowing to just stop paying the monthly kept paying it on her credit card for 13 yrs. I called on April 4, 2023 and tried to cancel the service so they would stop charging her credit card for something she hasn't even had for 13 years and was told by AOL representative without an email address they couldn't cancel service. They have a phone number and an address of the service but couldn't cancel with either of those. So I canceled mom's credit card. Well once AOL no longer could drain the credit card they canceled service and sent a bill of $163 saying they were going to sue my parents for payment. I just spent an hour on the phone with 4 different people and still they want their $163. AOL is a foreign country operated company. There is no integrity with this company and it is one of the largest scams in United States.

AOL mail is awful.

I use AOL mail. Until recently it was OK but then the browser and various functions were revamped. The new product is AWFUL. I have to assume that no "end user" testing was done, otherwise it couldn't possibly so clunky/bad/ unuser friendly. If you're looking for anew email provider look elsewhere.

Why pay for something they won't do

New fridg freezer from AOL they charged us for taking the old fridge away. When the new one came, the driver refused to take old one as he did not have enough room on the van. AOL say the will. Collect as soon as they can. but we are stuck with it now. I wish they woul take as much interest in removing our old fridge as they did trying to sell us extra insurance cover 😫

The whole AOL help site is TOTALLY…

The whole AOL help site is TOTALLY TRASH. I have been trying to log into my email account . After numerous attempts trying to use the help site and speaking with a customer service rep. somehow I got in. Today I am again not able to get into my email. When I go to forgot password , it send a code. When you get to the help screen that days password help, it sends you back to the log in screen again. It tells you to click the account activity page but when you click it it goes back to the log in screen again. When you call the customer support that you have to pay for, they tell you that you have been sent too many codes so that is why it is not going through. That is BS!!!! Your site is the one that keeps taking you back to the same screen and asking you to verify over and over again.
It seems like a total scam to get the customer to pay for support when if they use your product you should give them free support. SHAME ON YOU AOL!!!

Locked out of all accounts due to travel

Every time I travel, even 10 miles, I am locked out of my 4 AOL and 2 Yahoo accounts. They say they want to verify it is me and send a code to the backup account, but I am locked out of that account also. Effectively, unless I stay home, my accounts at AOL and Yahoo are rendered useless. As much as I am not a fan of Google, gmail seems a far better option.

AOL mail is a joke

AOL mail is a joke. Tried to integrate my wife's aol mail into outlook for which you are required to generate a special app code to use instead of a password. Been trying for 5 days but "that feature is not available right now". Chatbot is useless. Luckily my wife realises that I am not a complete incompetent fool. I got around it by diverting her AOL mails to gmail and linking outlook to link to that.

Verizon is to blame for this

Verizon is to blame for this sorry excuse for email. Verizon used to have its own email and then got out of the email business and sent all Verizon users to AOL. All AOL wants you to do is spend money to "fix" their problems. Today I can't get into "Old Mail." They want me to make Google Chrome the default browser. More junk.

Very slow since new website introduced

Since new website introduced, really slow now. Today I had a reply to an item of news I had commented on, in SEPT.1921 - NEARLY 2 YRS. AGO!! I had trouble even remembering what my comment was about until I clicked on to it. This isn't the first old reply either since new website.

Absolute rubbish. Shocking Service

Absolute rubbish. Got a new device that I needed to login on but the mobile number they required, I no longer had, so couldn't verify my account, even though I knew my password! The info they asked for to verify was old emails I sent over 7 days ago! How are you supposed to remember that!!! No other way of helping, so I've lost both accounts due to AOL's sheer incompetence and lack of recovery system. Outdated and crap. Go elsewhere.

AOL have screwed the product

AOL was a reasonable email provider.
Belonging to the school of "If it ain't broke we'll change it anyway" they have completely screwed the product. I used to be able to delete sections of email with three clicks - no longer. Now you must select each one and several clicks later you get to delete.
Others have said how useless their customer relations are - I didn't know they even bothered with that service.
Good companies test their product with people who have never seen it before yet know what the service should provide. AOL clearly have never tested their useless offering with anyone.

DONT BUY FROM THIS PLACE !!!

I purchased a tv 7 months ago right from the first day I notice green lines across the screen flashing up every couple of hrs
Tried contacting Hisense support several times
Nothing back until PayPal get involved took 7 months
They asked me take a video of the fault so I’m supposed to sit infront of the tv waiting for the fault to appear
And they want it taken from different angles ( loonacy ) or is it a ploy
The staff a AOL a very polite but don’t get anything sorted
They have now told me there is nothing more they can do
So I’ve spent £400 and 7 months of aggro for a broken Tv
Despite still being under so called WARRANTY
My solicitor will be looking into this
DONT BUY FROM THIS PLACE
GO TO ARGOS

I have only given 1 star!!!

I have only given 1 star as I cant star 0!!! Aol have nearly ruined my life ,I had to change my Microsoft email, which somehow meant I have to sign in to all my email accounts with passwords I cannot remember ,all AOL has done is send recovery numbers to emails I cannot access as I cant remember the passwords to those !!! I asked for a code to be sent to my phone number ,and the only code i received was a five digit no.,which,as it is a 7 digit no i require,is no use to me !!!.I have emailed AOL several times who insist I answer stupid questions ( a minimum of three emails sent longer than 7 days ago, with the subject line enclosed !!!,Three at least files I have personally made,my full name and address and a new email phone number to send these to !!!! I apprently send the wrong ones and they cant verify my account ,even though I started with AOL in 1999,and told them the first email address I ever had !!!! As i send very few emails ,i rarely put a subject line ,as they are usually replies to emails ,( i send texts WhatsApp, things like that .Because I cant get on my email addresses, I cannot access facebook, because having to sign in with password ,I cant remember the password and all they do is send recovery codes to ,wait for it ,my old email addresses, which I cant access because I cant remember the password and cant answer their questions sufficiently.... and it goes on .Even the banks dont provide this much aggro !!!.I dont want to set up new accounts ,and I dont want to lose pictures, records, emails etc .I have explained to them i had a sepsis related brain injury18 months ago and am still relearning numbers etc but they are impossible to deal with ,this is making me ill ! I have countless photos and other things precious to me and throw away to AOL..
