Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 531 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers found the payment systems confusing and difficult to use, often leading to unexpected fines for parking or drop-offs. People frequently reported issues with unclear signage regarding payment procedures and pricing, especially at airport locations, resulting in charges they were unaware of. The prices were often considered excessive, with many feeling that the company prioritizes collecting fines over facilitating straightforward payment for services. Reviewers also experienced significant frustration with customer service, describing it as unhelpful and difficult to reach, particularly when trying to resolve payment discrepancies or appeal fines. Some people mentioned that payment machines were frequently out of order, forcing them to use complicated online systems, and the short payment windows often led to hefty fines for minor delays. However, a few other people also felt that some customer service agents were helpful and understanding in resolving complex issues.

Bogus Parking Charge from APCOA

I received a Parking Charge from APCOA. Strange as I had paid the parking fee. I appealed with appropriate evidence and APCOA agreed. However there was no apology for wasting my time or their error.

Rip Off Merchants

This company does nothing but take hardearned cash for slight time infractions. They are lower than low, and below lawyers in the shitweasel stakes.
Trustpilot needs to provide the ability to give negative scores, to adequately provide balanced feedback about these bottomfeeders.

One star is generous

One star is generous. Had to apply to these after recieving a ticket for parking in a disabled space when my blue badge had slipt down the dashboard after shutting car door. I was on my own and due to disabilitt couldt reach it. It was still visable and my photo sent in proved so. I revieved no response until 8 months later i recieved a call saying i owed 190 to debt collectors. I again sent an email to this company stating that i hadnt recieved a response within the 30day period so had assumed they had struck pcn off! Again no response until i recieved a visit from a bailiff today. Completely incompetant company

Parked in a hospital car park and put a blue badge up that is in date, I had to park on double yellow line which I am aloud to do.
The time on my clock was 12.30 and I was given a parking ticket at 12.33. Both of us are disabled, my husband is nearly blind

Absolutely shocking company

Absolutely shocking company! I used their car park in Birmingham (utility arena). I paid as I left the car park then I had a parking fine in the post 2 weeks later saying I did not pay for parking. The letter showed a photo of my car entering and then leaving the car park. However, rather conveniently what they didn't show was the part where I paid for the parking (even though we parked right near the exit also right next to the payment meter). I immediately appealed and even though it was overturned as I sent a screenshot of payment it made me wonder if they just send random fines out in the hope it'll scare people into paying it even though they have already paid for parking. Absolutely horrendous company I will never use them again. Stay away!!

Ignoring appeals is std practice with no explanation

The company introduced a new system of parking which clearly is difficult to follow, unless the majority of complaints are from UK drivers who do not follow the law.
To improve, they should refund everyone who offended for rhe first time because their signed cannot easily be read on dark, wet evenings, driving into a new terminal at Manchester airport

Impossible booking system and App

I parked at an APCOA controlled car park at Galway University. There was no meter option only a code and instructions in Irish. No worries I thought, I can just use my credit card and put in the code on the notice...What a joke! 15 minutes later in tears (I am in pain on crutches post surgery) I finally managed to buy parking. Is there an evil genius at APCOA who really wants to make money from clamping people because they give up on parking due to despair and frustration?

Left a ticket on my car even though I had paid to park. Rang them id say I was on hold for an hour over 4 different calls trying to speak to someone. Don't have an irish number so had to go via uk number, so stupid. Eventually got through was told it was a mistake. No apology. Nothing. Just reprimanded for asking why they dont have an irish number 🤣🤣🤣

Falsely accused

on a day in January 2026, my wife dropped me off at Marden Railway Station at 6am and returned at 7pm to pick me up.
I received a PCN evidencing I entered the carpark and left at 7pm without paying.
I challenged by sending a screen shot of my vehicles journeys log for the day form the car app.
The PCN was overturned 'on this occasion'; no apology, no compensation for the stress and inconvenience they put me through, and no explanation as to how their equipment failed so badly. I have demanded to know, how long the equipment has been faulty, when it is fixed and whether they have waived other victims PCNs where they are unable to prove no breach occurred and knowing that their equipment is unreliable.
Who knows how much profit they are making illegally and immorally by incorrectly issuing PCNs.
This is an outrage and the public should not be expected to pay for their incompetence.

Heathrow drop off

Heathrow drop off. The receipting system is so unclear. When paying for a visit recently made the receipt just states
"Thank you for your purchase. Your trip(s) will be used when you visit the Terminal Drop-Off zones. If you have visited within the last two days your payment will be settled against your visit within the next 6 hours. "
even though the date has been given. So not clear if payment for the trip has been accepted, and 24 hours later the payment is still showing as not allocated to my visit. "Customer Service" cut off after 25min wait, Hoping it is paid, but a clear confirmation would take all the stress out of this experience

Disappointed. Too slow

Disappointed. Spent inordinately long time queuing to pay for parking after Strictly Tour Birmingham. Only one of 2 machines working and the one in use was slow and only worked after reporting an error. Every customer had to go through process twice! Long queue inevitable! 😡 and yes we tried the online option and it didn’t recognise the car registration! You can do better.

Scum of a company

Used their parking app whilst getting a hospital appointment at Hull Royal Infirmary. Received a ticket for misuse of their car park. Just paid the fine and won't use any of their parking again. Just another predatory company prying of people

Trying to renew my husband's Blue Badge permit for Salisbury Hospital which expires at the end of the month. I have tried countless times to upload photos of his Blue Badge without success; not my fault, theirs. They don't reply to emails. It's stress I don't need as husband's sole carer.

Got lost looking for my drop off point…

Got lost looking for my drop off point early one morning. Having never left my car at Manchester Airport before it was very difficult to find the correct place as the signage is very poor. On return from holiday i have recieved two £100 fines for going through two drop off points.
I'm appealing but reading the reviews it's not looking good.
Has anyone actually been successful in there appeal?.
