Great Products

I've been using Ape Nutrition products for abut 5 or 6 years due to the quality natural ingredients and attention to detail they pay to their supplements.

Last year my testosterone was borderline zero with a consultant prescribing me clomiphene. I decided against taking this and took the Optimised Male instead. The improvements were noticeable almost instantly. 4 months on and my testosterone has increased dramatically as shown in blood test results and by how I feel.

I have also been taking the collagen with a noticeable improvement in the quality of my hair and beard.

I'd highly recommend this company, they use natural ingredients of a high standard. Any questions I've had or advise I've asked for with regards to their products has always been answered in a professional and timely fashion. Overall they're a great company with a great ethos. Would highly recommend.

I have been taking the Whole Bone Matrix and Optimised Female products plus the APE protein powder on a daily basis for over one year. The aim is to help increase my bone strength as I’d broken my arm as a result of weakened bones after menopause. My recent Dexa scan showed increased bone strength which I associate with the supplements and strength training.

The only supplements the whole family loves

I've been using these supplements for years and genuinely wouldn't choose anything else. They're such high quality and the ingredients are so clean - I just really trust them as a company. I use the collagen daily, and switch between lots of their capsules including the beef organs, oysters and beef spleen. I even add some of the beef liver to my daughter's food to give her a little nutrient boost! The whole family loves them

Ape Nutrition products…defo the best. Tried so many others.

I’ve been using Ape Nutrition products for over 12 months now and honestly couldn’t recommend them enough.
I started with the protein (cocoa flavour) and it’s been a game changer for me. I used to take whey, but it never sat well with my gut, switching to this has made a massive difference. No bloating, just feels clean and easy to digest.
I’ve since added the Optimised Male and Beef Liver supplements into my routine and wow.. the difference in my energy levels is unreal. I feel sharper, stronger in the gym, and just more switched on day to day.
I recently had my annual blood MOT through work and the results were excellent compared to last year, genuinely feel as fit as I did in my 20's. Nothing but 5 stars from me. Oysters next👍🫡

Love APE’s products

Love APE’s products. I personally take the beef liver (after being vegetarian for 20 years) and feel so much better for it. I also have the colostrum in my smoothies and I love the taste of it and know that it is helping heal my gut. So happy to have found this brand!

Dont risk buying !!!

I am a repeat customer with Ape and have ordered 3 bottles of their excellent dessicated beef spleen capsules. However, I ordered a very expensive pouch of their beef protein powder and became quite sick after consuming it......cramps, bloating and pain. The taste and smell of the product was "off" and even though I have a very clean diet and eat little to no sugar, I found the tatse a challenge, so added a little maple syrup to disguise any unpleasantness, but unfortunatley the tase was the least of my worries. I contacted the company and was told that they could only refund me 50% as they could not be 100% sure it was their product that caused my issues and as a small business they cant offer full refunds. I am 100% sure it was the product. I wont order with them again because if I recieve tainted produce it is just tough luck?! Such a shame because I like what APE are trying to do but their customer care is not ethical.

We take things situations like this very seriously, and after you got in touch, we looked into the batch thoroughly. Everything was in line with our quality and safety standards, but we do recognise that individual reactions can vary due to variations in food tolerances. That said, generally beef protein is one of the safest options in terms of digestibility and we have lots of customers that switch from whey or plant based protein powders and notice a big positive difference in terms of digestion.

Also just so you’re aware, all our products go through two rounds of third party lab testing to ensure they’re safe before we sell them. The product you had was made as part of a batch 50058. We keep an issues log covering everything from parcels taking longer than they should have to be delivered up to more serious complaints like yours. We’ve checked this and can confirm 899 units from that batch have sold and we’ve had no other complaints like yours, which gives us more confidence that this might have been caused by a unique food sensitivity as opposed to a general issue with the product.

In terms of the smell, as it is made from beef bones with meat left on them it does have a very different smell to the usual whey protein which can take a while to get used to. That said, the smell isn’t a strong one and we get very few complaints/comments about it. Also we don’t use any synthetic sweeteners so the taste is not as sweet as other products on the market but we actually developed it ourselves in the kitchen and are genuinely really happy with the flavour, although we appreciate that it is not for everyone.

We don’t generally offer refunds on opened products because we are confident in the safety of them due to our sourcing and rigorous microbiology testing to ensure everything meets health and safety standards but of course do not want to dismiss your experience at all… That’s why in your case, we offered you a 50% refund - as a meet in the middle scenario as neither of us can determine the exact cause.

We’re really sorry you do not feel this was handled well by us and we also really appreciate your previous orders of Beef Spleen capsules, it means a lot. Just cannot get on board with the taste of the protein

I have to agree with other low star reviews on here that the taste really isn't something I can get on board with. I wish I'd come here first before buying. I naively checked reviews on their own website which of course are only positive. In actual fact I have subsequently left a review on the site, in a pleasant and honest tone, that I couldn't tolerate the taste - or smell. Suffice to say that review hasn't been published and they only include 4/5 star reviews. It's a shame that the company don't offer sample size packs - but I guess they wouldn't make money like that as people would take one taste and never order again. I absolutely LOVE the principle of the company and what they're trying to do - but to say that the product (raw cacao and maple protein in this case) tastes amazing I feel is a bit too generous. I am really not fussy with tastes and I eat pretty much anything... and I can also disguise the taste of things if I don't like it... but I'm struggling with this one.

The other thing that slightly irks me is that per serving there is already nearly 4g sugar in a 25g serving and then I have to add More honey or sweetener to take the taste away, it just feels a bit counter intuitive to me. Currently experimenting with how to get rid of the taste without added sugars, in order to to use 1.2kg of the stuff. I don't often leave reviews, but If I can help others not spend £60 then I will!

From an ethos standpoint I love what APE is trying to do and the benefits I'm sure the products can give - but I can't help but think there is some unethical fiddling of reviews going on in order to sell more.

Our Raw Maple & Cacao Beef Protein is made with high-quality, minimally processed ingredients, which does have quite a different flavour to usual Whey Protein which is often synthetically sweetened and gives an unnatural taste. We appreciate it may take a bit of time to adjust to ours, which are all real food ingredients and less sweet. Have you tried mixing with frozen blueberries, a banana & honey? This is a really popular way that we get feedback on. For reference, the sugar content of 1 serving is 3.8g, which is less than half an apple. We are looking into providing smaller sample packs in the future and think this is a really good suggestion, as soon as it is feasible for us it is something we will do.

It was actually developed by us in the kitchen at home, so we are sorry that you didn’t enjoy it as we are genuinely extremely happy with the taste, along with many other customers although we understand it may not suit everyone. However, thank you for your feedback it is acknowledged and appreciated.

A Masterclass in Passing the Banana

I ordered a subscription through Amazon, but the first delivery contained the wrong product. Amazon initially advised that a replacement could not be issued. After persistent follow-up, I was told they would contact Ape Nutrition and arrange for a replacement to be dispatched within 24 hours.

Several days passed with no delivery, so I contacted Ape Nutrition directly. Unfortunately, they appeared sceptical of what I had been told by Amazon and requested proof, which I was unable to provide as the communication had taken place via Amazon’s online chat.

I subsequently contacted Amazon again, who resolved the issue by issuing a refund along with a gift voucher to cover the difference in price. I then had to reorder the product myself again as a one-off purchase. I informed Ape Nutrition of this outcome and shared my feedback that the experience had been disappointing, noting that customers should not be required to manage extensive back-and-forth simply to receive the product they originally ordered. Regrettably, I received no response.

For a company called Ape Nutrition, I was surprised to find myself doing all the climbing, problem-solving, and banana-peeling - while customer service appeared to be nowhere in sight. Overall, while the product itself may be satisfactory, the customer service experience leaves significant room for improvement.

I love this product I ordered the…

I love this product I ordered the Madagascan vanilla and mixed with a little honey it tastes great.
I feel better and seems to have more energy and less aches.
I don't understand some of the other reviews I've had no problems with it and will definitely carry on using it.

Great tasting, good quality protein

Great tasting, clean protein.
I’ve been using Ape Nutrition’s beef protein in the cacao, maple & sea salt flavour and it’s genuinely one of the better proteins I’ve tried. Mixes well, sits easily on the stomach, and doesn’t have that artificial sweetness you get with a lot of powders. Tastes natural, slightly rich without being heavy, and works perfectly post-training or as a quick top-up during the day. Big fan of the ingredient quality too — you can tell it’s been done properly

Reliable good quality products
