Apify is a great data scraping provider with a lot of choice!

Fantastic platform, have been using their actors for my business for a while now, they provide great value. The support is always great, responsive and helpful - not that I had many issues.

We use Apify as the motor for most of our GTM operations.. Its the technical backend of our automations and with its vast library of actors we are able to automate more or less anything that we need in our campaigns.. Our use cases are programmatic URL researches that we use in emails for enrichments. Also theirs support team is really fast and helpful (not just talking to useless bots)... I have been a user for a long time and I am very very pleased with their product.

It's a decent choice if you decide to get dataset from the places where there is a lack of APIs in the first place, on Apify I found many sources with necessary data.

Very good, easy to use and useful

We're building a SaaS that pulls Google Maps reviews for businesses. Looked at a few options for getting that data. Bright Data was too complex for what we needed, ScrapingBee meant writing our own parsers. Apify had an actor that did exactly what we wanted out of the box.

The API is simple. POST a request, get JSON back. No polling, no webhooks. We had it working in our backend the same day we signed up. The data comes back clean and structured: reviewer info, ratings, owner responses, place metadata, all in one call.

We use it for both big historical imports (thousands of reviews on first sync) and small recurring checks (20-30 newest reviews). Same endpoint handles both, you just change the parameters.

Two things I'd improve: unused credits should roll over between months, and it'd be nice to filter reviews by date so we don't have to over-fetch and deduplicate on our end. The dashboard is also a bit busy when you just want to check recent runs.

Overall solid product. It let a two-person team skip months of scraping infrastructure work and focus on the actual product instead.

I experienced unexpected charges (around $4.01) for very short Actor runs (around 9–25 seconds) with minimal results.
What makes it worse: I tried contacting support through the in-app chat and got no response, so it’s hard to clarify what exactly I’m being charged for.

I’m not saying billing can’t be valid — I’m asking for transparency. The platform should clearly show a breakdown of costs (compute, proxy, storage/egress, any “pay-per-event” minimum fees/rounding) and provide timely billing support.

Until billing is more transparent and support responds, I can’t recommend this service.
