AppFolio software is wonderful, needs a few tweaks that other programs have, but usable. Customer service is the absolute worst out of any property management software I have used to date. QuickBook... See more

I appreciate the attention to detail…
I appreciate the attention to detail that AppFolio has provided for this convention. The small things, such as timing of breaks and the length of sessions were some of the best logistically of any conference I have been to.
The speakers were awesome, the tech was impressive, and the knowledge was abundant.
Kudos for putting on such an impressive event. Looking forward to 2025!
Thank you!
Appfolio FUTURE - Great Experience!
First convention experience and I have nothing but great things to relay. Perfect mix of education, networking, & entertainment. San Diego was an ideal location, and the venues were top notch. As someone with just under three years in the industry, I truly enjoyed connecting with other professionals and property managers. Highly recommend, and I’m already looking forward to next year!
Killer Future Conference
The event was a great balance of knowledge, networking and unwinding. Everything was properly curated for an amazing experience. I do wish some of the seminars were spaced out to be able to attend more of them. But overall the training and certifications were great as well as the seminars. The events and entertainment were so much fun! Very excited to implement the new AppFolio features and can't wait for next year!
Very informative
Very informative and very well run, lots of sessions on a variety of topics with many knowledgeable employees to help answer questions and take feedback in an effort to improve the product and make our lives easier. I would recommend this conference to those new to Appfolio and veterans of the platform alike.
The conference was great
The conference it self was great. At least one presenter read thier entire presention. If they are subject matter experts, they should know thier material and not need to read word for word. For that send out a powerpoint and notes.
the classes held in the vender expo area were too noisy and could not be heard. Gave up and just did a one on one at the vendor stand. They need to be in thier own room and somehow separated from the large room.
the new venue is great and gave ample room for all the classes. The accounting classes should be moved to the larger rooms.
What a great experience!
What a great experience!! It was my first time attending and for sure it won't be my last. Thank you Appfolio for making this event, I learned so many new functions while I was there and I loved interacting with other property managers and learning from them too.
Great Show, Missing One Small Item
Overall, I thought the event was absolutely fantastic and incredibly helpful! The keynote speakers were so inspiring—it was impossible not to feel motivated! Every single AppFolio staff member I encountered was beyond helpful and welcoming. It’s truly a pleasure to be greeted by such friendly faces at every turn. I didn’t meet a single person who wasn’t warm or eager to assist, which speaks volumes about AppFolio as a company and an employer!
My only feedback is that the event seemed to lack focus on the Association side this year. With my company having such a strong presence in both rentals and associations, I was hoping for more content geared toward associations, especially since last year’s event had a wealth of great information in that area. I noticed there wasn’t a lot of new material for us on the association side this time around. And when I inquired about speaking to someone regarding associations, there seemed to be a bit of confusion about that aspect.
For next year, I’d love to see some sessions and classes dedicated specifically to associations. I actually got to network with a few other association managers who felt the same way, and I hope they share their thoughts as well. This is the only reason I’m not giving a full 5/5.
Overall
Overall, I would say this year was on par with other years of the conference. Having it in such a large hotel with more sessions made it hectic and difficult to coordinate with co-workers. Didn't get to talk to many other companies that did the same kind of property management. It seemed like most of it was geared toward community management with no direction on how to apply it to single family homes. Many of the topics were repeats with slightly different information, but no actual solutions on how to implement or solve problems. Plus, come on Boyz 2 Men?! My whole office skipped it and went to a nice dinner at the hotel instead. I have taken people from my office every year for the last 11 years except for pandemic years, but I don't know if we will be back next year. Too much money for little return.
This years conference was packed with…
This years conference was packed with so many different educational sessions to chose from, more one on one meetings with an Appfolian, and the number of Appfolio Partners there to assist with property owners and their staff run more efficiently was amazing.
An amazing company
An amazing company. We had a great time at the Future conference. We’re excited to be partnered with such a tech focused, forward thinking company.
Best conference of the year!
This was our favorite conference of the year. Knowing that everything evolves around your most important operating software allows everyone to be signing off the same sheet of music. To get new insights at what is going on at Appfolio, to get to know the Appfolio team better, and to get to know other Appfolio users was incredible. The sessions also offered better content than any other real estate conference we had been to. 5 stars!

I enjoyed the seminars related to AI and optimizing the services of AppFolio.
Fun and Educational!
The ability to meet personally with the trainers to review our account and ask specific questions is most helpful. We LOVED the Boys 2 Men concert! Daniel Pink and really all of the Opening Session was excellent! The food gets cold outside fast but everyone is very friendly and the hotel was the perfect location!
Needed more time to go to the EXPLORE…
Needed more time to go to the EXPLORE vendor booths. Needed a little more downtime as well.
#1 Property Management Software Program
Appfolio cares about it's clients and is constantly striving to improve every aspect of their software. The value you receive from this company is top tier. The annual conference is a great networking opportunity and a way to learn from others' experiences. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to next year's!
Great Expo Floor and Schedule
The way the schedule was planned out was great (time in between classes to find the room, get some coffee, etc.) and the Appfolians were excited and ready to share the new products coming in 2025 (like credit card billing and the new tenant portal) and were prepared to answer our questions about existing products too. The keynote speakers were also very inspiring and the message did relate to our positions and jobs as AppFolio Customers.

Great Ideas, But Where’s the 'How-To'? — Why This Training Missed the Mark on Actionable Insights
I appreciated the intent behind these sessions and the focus on valuable subjects, but I feel compelled to point out something that others may not have noticed or may be hesitant to share: there was an overwhelming lack of actionable takeaways. This is a huge deal, especially for the money it costs us to pull this off and take time away from work and family.
While introducing us to these concepts is a start, it’s simply not enough. We don’t just need an introduction to new ideas; we need a clear roadmap on how to integrate these concepts into our companies, operate these new systems, and engage and train our teams effectively. Without these crucial steps, the content feels incomplete and nearly impossible to implement, and is something I would never leave out in my own talks, trainings, etc. no matter who is my audience.
If you’re aiming to bring real change, you need to provide us with actionable steps. An introduction to a "great new thing" is enticing, but without guidance on how to incorporate it into daily practice, it will stay just that—a great idea on paper. The more specific, actionable items you give us, the more likely we are to sign on, adopt, and fully embrace these changes in our organizations.
In the end, if I leave without knowing how to take these next steps, the content won’t make it into my workflow. I encourage the team behind this to consider the importance of providing concrete actions. It’s the difference between inspiring us and equipping us to actually implement change.
