Customer service

I bought an appliance through them that was faulty and had to be returned. They did arrange collection of the machine but we did have to jump through several hoops. Every email and call was to a different person. The main issue was using a phone number on their website was a premium 0871 number which made calling them very expensive. Very sneaky, I will not use them again.

Breaking a contract & going back on their written word.

We received the wrong oven and it took almost 9 months to get a response. Eventually after sending photos and exchanging emails they agreed in writing to collect the oven and provide a full refund for the item. They said to contact them when we had an electrician to disconnect it and they would collect within 48 hours and would provide full refund; amount detailed in email, once received. The minute we purchased a replacement and arranged for the applicances to be disconnected they turned around and are refusing to honour what they agreed in writing multiple times by multiple employees.

the third day of untruths..3 kitchen…

the third day of untruths..3 kitchen items due today/then tomorrow now next Wednesday. each staff member you speak to contradicts the other - a total shambles- will now cancel the order and although I will need to wait 5 days to get my money refunded-i will be glad to end this farce. avoid like the plaque!

Faulty tumble dryer

I ordered a tumble dryer. It was faulty as the drum did not go round. I called Appliances Direct on a Sunday and nobody was able to help, but the adviser told me that there may be a cost to have it taken back and replaced. I said 'i think not'. I would like a straight replacement, or refund. They insisted that an engineer came out to 'check the machine was in fact faulty'. All they needed to do was plug it in and press go - as I had done, to find out it was faulty. This took unnecessary weeks for them to sort out - they collected the item, and eventually told me they would refund the money. However, only refunded the cost of the item - not the delivery cost. On the whole, really not impressed with Appliance Direct I am afraid.

Extremely bad service

The website states extra services available (obviously at a cost} removing and taking away old appliances and installing new, after customer inspected new appliance in case of damage. I asked for all of these plus paid extra to choose my delivery date. I booked for delivery on Friday 21st Oct, this date appears on all correspondence but was changed to the 22nd without consulting me at all. On arrival the delivery men stated they did not do disconnecting or installation and after being quite rude to my tenant left before the new appliance was even unwrapped or inspected for damage. They did not take the old appliance or the packaging from the new one away, another thing I had requested. Very bad service all round and I will never use this company again

totally shambolic

totally shambolic. Delivery a joke. AND BEWARE CALLING THE HELP DESK on 08719844416
- I got charged £16 for 15 minutes - whilst i was complaining about rubbish delivery. They insisted on delivering at 7am, and wouldn't budge - saying it was out of their control

Another large supposedly reputable…

Another large supposedly reputable company that are useless. Went with Appliance Direct as had a bad experience with Currys. This was an even worse experience! Dryer arrived broken. Took weeks to replace, then had a phone bill of over £58 phoning them trying to sort it out. Useless.

I ordered washing machine over the…

I ordered washing machine over the weekend for a collection on Tuesday(my only day off). Order never arrived at the store. I rang them up and they promised to deliver on Thursday free off charge. I contacted them on chat at 2.30 on the "delivery day" to make sure its coming and was told that is on the van. Never arrived until 7:30, so I went on chat again to be told that it never went on the van and will be ready for collection tomorrow... You don't want to hear that when you have newborn at home and pleanty to wash... I requested the money back and now waiting for a refund. I am going currys now... AVOID!!!

What a let down

Bought a cooker from here (their own brand apparently; electriQ. Website said that delivery was available within 2 days. Received a call straight after I ordered it saying that they use a different delivery company and would have to wait for them to arrange a delivery..... which turned out to be 2 weeks. When it finally arrived we opened the oven door and the internal glass fell out, the clip at the bottom was broken. So we phoned them and they arranged for a replacement to be delivered next day. This one was worse than the first one. First of all we noticed a dent in the side, then the paintwork around the hob was damaged When opening the oven door the internal glass fell out....again, both of the clips were broken... AND the oven door won't close because the internal knob is bent. Now I've got 2 broken cookers sat in my small kitchen and I'm waiting for a replacement.... not sure if I want one of these though.

the worst service of any company ever…

the worst service of any company ever (and that includes BT, Virgin Media, delivery companies or your local plumber, builder, restaurant...)

i have never bothered to write a negative review on any company in my life (its too short) but do stay away from this company unless you want days of your life totally ruined with countless phone calls, waiting around and empty promises.

we ordered a washing machine for delivery on 16.9. incl pick up of old machine and installation of new... the washing machine arrived on said date but installation / pick up didnt happen. it was just a delivery guy dropping it off. subsequently we were promised it would happen on 5 (five!!!) different occasions over the course of 2 weeks. every single time we were given a guarantee it would happen next time and it didn't every single time. every day we had to stay home, make sure someone is in, every single time it didn't happen.

this company is a joke. they lie to you on the phone as they know they sold you a service they can't provide. instead of telling you they can't uphold their end they string you along. we could have had this sorted 2 weeks ago but these useless liars are an absolute waste of everyone's time.

spoken to 3 different people, got confirmation numbers, spoke to line managers... all lies. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!!

Why is this Company so bad

Why is this Company so bad? I wrote a recent review of them and I now find out my cooker will not be delivered till 4.10.22. No explanation for the further delay. Why is this company so bad. The CEO needs to act quickly to rectify the appalling ‘customer’ service. Please Paul do something to fix this awful level of service. I wish I had not bought from them. Don’t buy anything from this company.

Don't buy from them!

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Ordered a sink and it arrived broken. Returns process is terrible as is a customer service. Still waiting for them to collect the damaged sink and still out over £200. I will never order from them again for any item.

Disgusted , even though offer next day delivery, I ordered a month in advance for my moving date so can transfer my food over , they emailed day before move late after to say will be a week late with delivery!! And no offer fridge freezer available!!

It is a really really bad company that…

It is a really really bad company that I ever use. The patio heater shipped with wrong parts and I asked them to ship a correct one to me, I wait for two weeks more, the parts still not received.
Please don’t buy anything from this company.

This company are awful SCAMMERS

This company are awful.

We bought a refurbished 8000btu air conditioner. On receiving it we have tested it and found it didn’t blow cool air out of the front or hot air from the extractor, and no water was ever expelled in the tank. So it did not work.

We asked for a replacement and they then asked me to send them a photograph showing the fault. How on earth do you show a machine is not cooling a room?

They have messed me around asking for photos of the extractor hose, the position of the air conditioner and even the air conditioner itself.

They eventually arranged a return collection with DPD, but only after I threatened action under the distance selling regulations. DPD turned up and couldn’t scan the returns label at all, so issued a card with a tracking number and put a sticker on it.

NOW this shambles of a company is saying they haven’t received the parcel.

My guess?

Step 1 - sell a faulty item and hope the customer doesn’t complain, or it makes it out of the warranty phase before breaking down

Step 2 - when a complaint is made, mess the customer around in the hope they aren’t able to cope with the increasing demands and give up on the return.

Step 3 - if this fails, arrange a collection with a courier with incorrect label

Step 4 - claim the product was never received, and due to the incorrect returns label it shows as “never scanned”.

Step 5 - tell the customer they haven’t returned the product so there is nothing they can do, and to follow up with the courier.

Step 6 - when the courier states this is the responsibility of the company, be told this is incorrect.

Step 7 - Repeat steps 5-6 indefinitely until the customer gives up.

Thankfully, I took the liberty of taking a photograph of the proof of collection card on top of the air conditioner unit including the returns label they provided me clearly affixed. I also have a Ring doorbell video of the collection.

Absolute scum or the earth setting out to scam customers!

Please avoid at all costs!

WOW - shambles

WOW! I genuinely haven't dealt with a company like this ever before. I ordered a BBQ from here and the whole experience has been one to remember, and not a good one.
The BBQ arrived and many of the parts were damaged, due to insufficient packaging. After 5 very long phone calls being placed on hold we still have a broken BBQ sat here 1 month later! I was told that they would send the spare damaged parts instead of collecting it (after they offered us £20 to keep it as it is - but that must have just been a joke). I took the day off work to wait for these to arrive and they never did. I phoned them at 5 o'clock this day and they just said 'the request was cancelled as they can't get the spare parts', but no one let me know so I wasted a whole day sat around waiting for these to arrive. This was then escalated and we were assured that they could get the spare parts so again we waited for them to arrive last monday. We waited a week before having to contact them again as no one had come back to us to let us know what was going on.
Today I phoned back to ask them just to collect the BBQ and issue a refund. It has been a total mess and this company waste your time and patience.
Read all of the other reviews and completely avoid these guys. The BBQ was great quality from what I could see but the service has been honestly diabolical. This still has not been resolved... AVOID AVOID AVOID

AVOID They sell broken goods and refuse to refund or even collect

I wish I had checked Trustpilot first. As per previous similar reviews I bought a range oven that had a dent in it. However, on installation the larger oven did not work. After nearly two months of chasing and wasting my time they have told me that I installed it at a commercial property ! This is absolute nonsense and they won’t even explain why they came to this conclusion.

They refuse to do anything further and suggested I call someone at my own expense. It is only fit for the bin!! I have wasted hundreds of pounds to these scammers.

PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS. They illegally sell broken goods. I will try and reclaim my money through the small claims court and just hope this company is shut down.
