I like that there are many Arca sites across Copenhagen and that there is also a good variety of classes and instructors.

That said, the number of classes you can book is ridiculously low, and for that reason you can’t make good use of everything Arca has to offer.

You’re only allowed to book 4 classes at the same time. This number increases to 8 when you’ve done 300 (!!) classes, and to unlimited when you’ve done 1000 (lol). This means that it would take you almost a year training 7 days a week to get to the first increase and it becomes simply impossible if you train 2-3 times a week.

And if you’re wondering why you could need more than 4 bookings if training 2-3 times a week, the reason is that classes open 2 weeks in advance and many get fully booked very soon. This means that the only way to get in is by booking way in advance, which you really cannot do if you can only book 4 classes.

This would be so easily solved by allowing people to pay more monthly to get more bookings, as I am sure many people would gladly do, but until then, I don’t think Arca deserves more than 2 stars because this is such a massive pain in the ass

The ARCA team were delightful from when I first enquired about joining to sadly ending my membership due to moving overseas. They were always so friendly with their communication and very quick to respond.

In terms of service, I like the booking system on the app. It’s intuitive and quite easy to use. I do wish that notifications and communication were also available in English.

The training sessions I’ve attended at Arca include Beginner class, WOD, Endurance, and more recently Baby WOD, as I’m currently on maternity leave. The sessions are great, and I really like the variety and diversity of the exercises. They fit my needs well. However, classes can sometimes be too full, especially outside of working hours, which makes the space feel a bit cramped.

Since starting Baby WOD, I’ve felt that Arca is very accommodating and respectful of both parents’ and babies’ needs. It’s also nice that some exercises include holding or moving with the baby instead of using weights. I personally really appreciate that Marie looks after the babies, takes care of them, and encourages us to get the most out of the session. It truly feels like our hour for ourselves.

Customer service is quite reactive, responsible, and always willing to provide a solution. As a non-Danish speaker, I do find it challenging to feel the full sense of community that Arca aims to create. That said, Baby WOD is an exception—parents help each other, and it feels very supportive. I also appreciate that the coaches take the time to translate the assignments into English so I can follow along.

In my opinion, the cleanliness of the facilities could be improved. And I would highly recommend reading the terms and conditions carefully, especially regarding payment and subscription cancellation, to avoid any unpleasant surprises.

Overall, I recommend Arca for people who have some previous CrossFit experience.

Great concept, great people, great vibes in the "gyms" and great offers. Customer Support at Arca is also truly outstanding. Patrick was super fast in his replies, friendly and understood exactly what I wanted and needed. A must-go for fitness addicts in Copenhagen. Solid 5 stars!

The coaches and the locations were great! Sadly I couldn’t keep working out and Paulina helped me a lot canceling my membership!

Arca doesn't have receptionists in person. Patrick was kind, thoughtful and helpful and answered all my questions and requests proactively, even tho email replies may take a couple of days. He seemed like the only person who cared about customer service, but I still believe receptionists are fundamental for this price range.

I reached out to Arca's customer service because I had trouble signing up, and I received great service! I can't wait to start working out at this place!

Really good workouts with lots of variation and great coaches. Booking system works well, I wish there was a little more availability tho!

They have gyms spread all over a Copenhagen and some even on the outskirts. Although I mostly use the one close to my home, sometimes its good to have the option. Getting a spot to the classes however is not always easy and requires some planning ahead. The gyms I attended are well equipped and the workouts are fun and planned well.

i had a new job and couldn't go to classes anymore, so they give me no problem in cancelling the accounts, in fact they did it right away, unlike other gyms where there is always a trick to be able to cancel your memebrship.
