I completed RYA Day Skipper theory course with Ardent Training. Ardent Training made very good course. They made good quality lessons and easy to follow. The day skipper theory can be more easily learnt with their lessons. They have very quick response too as well as constructive feedback. I was in a hurry to complete the theory course, instructors of Ardent proceeded every thing quickly including scheduleing the exam and issuing the certificate. Ardent Training is highly recommended.

Very well organized course. Fast response on you,re questions. I did dayskipper, thats big Chuck of info. They make it feel very light but you have to poot you,re in time into it..I highly recommend ardent!

Great Course! I took a long time researching and selecting the right Day skipper course, so glad i chose Ardent, their videos of explaining everything are really easy to follow. And they respond to messages super quick and will explain and expand on anything

Following the online course was great. If needed there was alwyas a quick respons to questions asked. The coursematerial is extensive and well explaned. The guide you through the process.

These Guys are fab! A great way to learn at your leisure and get advice as and when you need it!

Ive tried a few online learning systems, but ardents is the best, tutors tutoring from their boats, prompt feedback on assessments, a wide range of different tutors so your not hearing the same voice for 60 hours, great exercises. I don't think they can be beaten.

Everything about ardent training is excellent . Well explained , Quick replies if any questions .
Really happy about choosing them for yachtmaster theory.

The day skipper theory isn’t easy but the team at Ardent really helped me get through it. Can’t recommend enough.

The positives that worked for me:
- Very responsive to the chat function so online didn’t feel isolated
- No question was a stupid question, and they were all willing to listen to different viewpoints
- Their knowledge is awesome
- Great community
- Modules well laid out and the module quizzes (knowledge checks) and module assessments really helped understanding
- The mix of text and video in the modules
- The welcome pack which gives you all you need to get going
- The resources beyond the basic training are amazing
- The Monday night live sessions where they bring in special guests to go through an aspect of sailing you might not otherwise come across

What could they do better? Start to offer the practical courses - now that would be awesome!

Great learning experience with all the lessons perfectly prepared for all kind of levels of sailors/skippers. What makes it really outstanding for me is the support I got from the team - whenever there is a question I got an answer within some minutes - independent if it is on weekends or night hours. Same experience during the mock exam and the actual exam - even Christmas did not really stop them ( sorry for that but of course this is also the time where I had some time off ) - I can hardly imagine that the experience could be any better - great job and thanks again

I would get responses in minutes and they always gave grate feedback. Despite being an online course, with this response time, it never felt isolating.

Almost half the way of Fastrack Coastal/Yachmaster course and I love it. The way it is taught with real people under the hood is awesome, no chatbot here. If you get in trouble with some questions, no worries. The team will answer you whatsoever. I contacted them several times over different ways and it's perfect. Regarding the course itself, it covers everything and the explanations, even though detailed, are crystal clear. Straight to the point and pragmatic. I do absolutely not regret my choice and strongly recommended Ardent-Training. It's worth it! Thanks :-)

Ardent Training are a great way to complete your RYA theory courses. The instructors are so helpful, they are online and available almost all the time. The layout of their course is very user friendly and they understand that everyone learns differently and are great at guiding many different learning styles. 10/10

Thank you to Charly, Edd and all the wonderful team at Ardent. I did this course 40 years ago, when it was then significantly about Celestial Navigation. The current syllabus whilst more comprehensive is the right mix of what we need to understand today about navigation and seamanship, considering the ease and effectiveness of our modern technologies.
Ardent have presented the course in such an effective and user-friendly manner. The support staff have been wonderful and provided detailed responses within the promised 2 hours, if not immediately. They have all been pro-active when needed and have always been understanding and 100% positive, even when we ask silly questions.
Backup documentation provided by Ardent is excellent and copies will always be found in my navigation kit.
I live in Melbourne, Australia and I searched the world to find the best course catering for complex tidal conditions, and I was fortunate to find Ardent Training in Tobermory. Every reference I examined was positive for Ardent, including the RYA head office.

Did my day skipper theory successfuly with them and went back to do the yachtmaster theory. I think they have found the perfect balance of online and personal experience. You are genuinely interacting with the people in the videos, Edd and Charly are very involved (also met them at Southampton boat show - hi both). It gave me the flexibility to learn and revise on my commute, they have great support in every format and at all hours. Totally recommend 👌

Wow, there was a lot more to it than I expected. Very interesting and thorough. Confidence inspiring due to the feeling that you were onboard with your instructors. Very well recommended!

The course was detailed informative and very easy to use. It was a simple task to return to subjects that I needed to revisit.
