Are You Owed Money Limited Reviews 

Hortor Ltd decided to place a debt with AYOM, the sign up process and recovery of our funds was a seamless process. This however is where the trouble begins... They will not respond to you once they have recovered your money! They will not pass the funds on to you and just ignore any contact you try to make with them. A completely shameless company, currently we are having to take further action to recover our money. DO NOT USE. The irony that we are now owed money from Are You Owed Money... STAY CLEAR!

Avoid this company. They do not listen to the client when they claim to have found the debtor (Person in my case) and when advised that they have the wrong person, they keep harassing the wrong person.

I gave all the details I had for the debtor and his partner who he stays with, and his mum's address and a mobile number I had for the debtor.

I asked to cancel the contract with this firm, but despite me doing all the tracing for them, they're trying to charge me £150.

I will be seeking legal advice.

Do not use this company they took £1800.00 from me did nothing closed the case without informing me.when I complained they reopened the case still did nothing and ignored all my emails

These cowboys have taken money on my behalf and not forwarding to me. when i call they say i have to email accounts. After emailed them they dont reply back..... They have over £2500 of my money.

The best advice i can give. I have had a chat with some in the know now and they have opened my eyes. The first thing a company should do is look at the evidence. No not with them. They take your money before looking into things. Over four hundred pounds paid out to them and was told we have a very good success rate. How wrong was I. You would be better off giving your money to a bookie and betting on a three legged horse. Please please save yourself some time and money. Read people's reviews and do some research and save yourself your money..

I’m not sure Trust Pilot working here 13+ total bad reviews and 8 ok. A lot of customers have not been paid their money bank way past the 6 months. When I left a review this is what Ayom came back with:

No - We will deal with your complaint or pay the money to you that we have collected, not even an apology for being next to useless. We would like to see some action on your part as without that we will go to the Financial Regulator and Trust Pilot won’t be the only place you get bad reviews. Please stop with the wishy washy replies and actually pay your customers the money you have collected and been paid to do collection for.

STAY AWAY!!....Scam you for your initial fee of £400 then send a couple of email and texts to tenant in arreras and thats it. absolute waste of money. False promises check other reviews before sending them any money!!

Updates are poor. All they do is send emails and texts. Sometimes no activity for over a month. Made lots of promises on sign up and failed to deliver. Wasted 7 months and never collected a penny

AVOID! They dont pay you the money you are owed. No matter how many times you contact them or their complaints, you get the same email response saying there is a backlog and finance will prepare any monies and put on a payment run but never do. There is also a never ending backlog apparently which delays anything being processed. Basically they are a scam company who hold onto your money for interest purposes. Time will tell if we get any money owed to us, its been a year now and still nothing. AVOID like the plague!

This company will hold on to your money and you will become more and more frustrated whilst trying to contact someone who is not full of Bull poo (you know what I’m saying) I did try again today but no surprise there then,the company is just a scam,DONT GO NEAR THEM.

Great sales pitch, terrible service. Lots of automated emails and messages sent but no action like phone calls, visiting the debtor, or enforcement taken. Very much felt like a 'take your money and run' operation. And no updates, not even when requested via their client portal. Extremely disappointing and we will never use them again. But it was an expensive lesson.

I wrote the below review a few months ago and I wanted to just give an update on progress. Well, they did actually respond to my email and confirmed they had collected the money. Interestingly they've collected £2000 against my claim of around £1400 (which includes their fee). So they've definitely got their money's worth from the debtor.

The Customer Service said they didn't know why I'd not been paid but would get the Finance team to look into it when they were free. Despite emailing them numerous times since - no response. And, of course, no money.

As I've seen on other review sites they appear to be a scam operation. Essentially you provide the target, they charge you, recoup the debt and then keep it.

I'll update this review if I ever get paid. Maybe I need a debt collection agency for the debt collection agency!

Couldn't see where to reply to AYOM's response to my review so just giving them a further 'one star' on 'we have passed it to management'. Suffice to say that I've not received any money nor have I had any kind of response or update.

Given the number of people posting the same response I'm surprised the newspapers haven't picked up on this scam but I think that's probably my next course of action.

Would be nice to just see them pay up for the money I'm owed. End of the day they're charging you money to then hold onto money that's legally yours. Effectively clipping the ticket twice.

Do not use this company
They never pay you out, I’m still fighting for £500 which they have had since 11th of March 3024 they are collecting £1500 and this was the first payout I was due

They said they will pay after a minimum of 90 days which too it up yue 11th June

I’m ringing every day and still fighting for if.
No one calls you back or goes anything you ask

Very disappointed in the way this company manages other peoples debt. It all started off very positive in order to rope you in, then steadily goes down hill with very poor customer service and lack of response when asking for updates on our claim. Would not recommend, and would definitely not give up on any small claims you have going on, if you think that these people are going to do anything different, other than to take a large portion of any money claimed back....then think again - very carefully

Absolutely shocking. Chased and chased this company for an answer. case AY-5163-0217.001. Wasting so much time and they are withholding payment for a debt they have recovered.

Same few members of staff answer and give the same -no-one here to talk. Have given an ultimatum - before taking this further. This company should be stuck off. CRIMINAL. If I could I would give negative stars. Been chasing my money for ten months and not received a penny and emails not replied to. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPA

I left a very unflattering review in September, to which I received a standard response. I did manage to get 2 email addresses to direct my queries to, and yet have HEARD NOTHING. If this was my organisation and bad reviews were being left, I would ensure that the customers were contacted and matters resolved, not completely ignore them! My opinion of this company cannot get lower - why, or why can't they email or call me and explain what has happened to our money?

Absoloutely despicable company. Have a court case against them and will fight it to the end. They are unprofessional,. Never turned up for mediation and just ignore all communication. Have never paid money owed to us and lied in their court papers.

Avoid this company, recover your money then keep it with no explanation why , don’t reply to emails and no contact number for the accounts department !! Had recovered money for over a year now !! Worse that the original dept, satay away !!!

Honestly thought I’d never get my money back, but they proved me wrong. Felt like I was always in the loop, and they weren't pushy at all. I was able to track the case whenever I wanted, which was a big plus for me. Would definetly use them again. Grate experince!

I would give zero if that would be possible. Awful company, no communication at all, customer service useless, portal not updated....etc.
