We bought a XXXL original box today and when we got home and opened it up there was just over half a box very misleading to say before they changed the box you used to get nearly a full box think we may have to look at Anthony brand.

I’ve stopped using Ariel Gel after many years. The new smell is disgusting. It woke me up at night!!! Had to rewash the clothes and bedding. Are you completely mad? Did you not do your market research on this horrible smell before you changed it? If it’s not broken, don’t fix it!!!!

POD left residue on a garment in the wash. Not the first time either.

Did not remove simple tomatoe sauce from my t-shirt. Brand new washer so no hiccups washed on full wash too. Doesn't smell the best either. Only talking the truth. Won't use again

This is to review all low temp washing detergants' firstly bedding' socks and towels all need to be washed on a 60 or 90 degree wash' you need to fill the machine with watter and it has to be hot' you cant expect to wash cloths ect in 2ml of watter' check around the edge of your rubber if theres grey slime and your machine is stinking further more these low detergent liquids wont work on a high temp' the gas and leci will rise reguardless of whether we can afford it or not' thus meaning if you dont adhear to this you will be buying a new machine every 5min' its total lazy ass behaviour thinking your cloths are clean bungin them in on a quick wash' DONT LISTEN TO THESE MACHINE ADDS' CALGON IS TO SOFTEN THE WATTER' IT DOES NOT CLEAN YOUR MACHINE.

They have changed the smell only in the UK, when I was traveling in Europe it was the old one.
The smell seem to be more minty and I don't like it at all. I bought 2 bottles but I'm going to return one.

Having used Ariel Colour for years I was really disappointed to find that the latest bottle I purchased had a terrible fragrance. There was nothing on the packaging to warn that it was fragranced or indeed an updated formula. As I need to use an unfragranced product I will now need to find an alternative.

The new smell is overpowering in the extreme. Fake and chemical. It's awful. I had to re-wash my bed linen as the smell was headache inducing. The whole house reeked like cheapo shopping centre air freshener.

Hi there producers of ariel colour liquid ...I am so so disappointed with what ever you have done to your once wonderful product !!! It now smells hideous !!! No longer the freash clean smell we were and have been used to for over 25 years , but now a cheap and fishy odour ??? What the heck have you changed and why ???? Its awful now and I fear I will now have to acclimatise my families skin to a new brand of washing liquid !!! You cant rely on much these days in this world . .but we could always rely on ariel to smell freash and wash the clothes clean !!! Sad that's not the case anymore ...please Change it back for your company's financial benefit and your customers nostrils and loyalty !!!!

Used Ariel since I was a child. Always loved the clean fresh smell.

It stinks of floral chemicals. Horrible odour! I couldn't figure it out originally where this awful smell was coming from and then realised it was the clean washing! Even after it dried the horrible smell was still there.
I have a Special Educational Needs Child who has sensory issues. They won't wear any of their clothes because they smell awful. They don't smell normal. I've had to re wash the whole lot in a different brand.
Have had to switch brands after nearly 40 years. Very stupid Ariel. You've had a successful brand for years so why would you would want to mess with that?!

I've been using the Ariel Gel for a few weeks now with great results. I've been washing on a lower temperature than usual and finding that my clothes are still coming out fresh and clean. I love the scent of the product and the fact that this lasts all day. Great product.

Last year they changed the original scent my washing smelt awful i contacted ariel and they said yes they had changed it on the original theytell me they hadnt changed the scent on the colour one so I switched last week i noticed my washing smelt awful again
So they have done it again to colour one
What is the point of having reviews if they dont listen to their customers
It wasnt broken so dont fix it
If you want to bring out a new scent do that but keep what obviously sells the original with the original smell available
Sounds silly to be so angry about it but if so many people have notice this change and dont like it
Please ariel change it back
I dont want to change to another product but i will be forced to if you refuse to listen to the consumers

I have been using ariel for years ! Recently problems .and I'm not happy .also other people said same .pods are not dissolving as they should and haveing to put through another wash that's not good .iv bout top range washing machine. So it's not that!

I was testing this product, it promises amazing results on on a low temperature wash and this was put to the test with my boyfriends workwear. Not only did i get great results but the sent was awesome. I don't think i have used a product before that had such long lasting fragrance.

I challenge the board of directors at Ariel to wash their clothes with the old scent and the new scent and compare the two! The new scent is vile and something that you can actually smell as soon as you pull a garment over your head. Your clothing shouldn't smell after you've washed it - it should be a subtle clean scent that is not overpowering and is neutral. I've grown up with the traditional scent of Ariel and am in my 40's and will be having to find an alternative! I'm absolutely fuming! Why mess with a great clean scent? Cost? Some bright new spark that has joined the company and hoping to bring in new changes? Listen to your customers - read the reviews - it's not too late!! It's a floral scent too and your picture on the front suggests an ocean fresh type scent which it no longer is which is actually misleading! It interferes with my perfume it's that strong. Just look through the reviews online of angry customers! This is like changing the taste of Marmite!! Sacrilege! My husband's been moaning his shorts smell floral too... honestly there are no positives to this new scent, whoever signed off on this needs to hang their head in shame, or at least admit they've got it wrong, it can still be remedied. Seeing as they haven’t really listened to customers reviews I’ve moved on - using Ecover the unscented version and am very happy with it! So for those of you who hate this scent I recommend it!

I have used Ariel liquid for years but the scent has been changed and it is overpowering. My pyjamas reeked and kept my awake. At first I thought a bottle of scent had broken in the bedroom. Eventually I discovered it was Ariel.

So I have been buying aerial for many years because I thought it was the best, now the advert is saying about a boomerang smell ,meaning it doesn’t wash things properly , I won’t be buying again

This product doesn't clean at all, how can they advertise it does !!!!!!!!!

Used aerial liquid for awhile, smell overpowering when wet, at first then everything smelt of sick when dried. Ade the whole home smell yucky! I've gone back to tescos liquid. And yes I do clean machine out regularly.

My whole house stinks with the all in one original, over powering smell. Never had this issue before, bought from aldi!
