Very Badly Written - Impossible to Understand
Due to countless spelling, punctuation and grammar errors the content is nearly impossible to understand. Reading the content requires you to make your own corrections as you progress. As a result, it becomes difficult to pass the tests. I had to retake almost every single quiz. I doubt that the test scores mean anything, however the $239 fee to take the course is the important part. Next time Id rather deal with points on my insurance than slog through this extremely badly written content.
"Brakes" on your car is spelled "Breaks." Even the section heading is misspelled!! How do you miss that? Does anyone edit this stuff? And hundreds more mistakes. Weather instead of whether. What the heck? It's awful.
AI presentation is terrible and online course not recommended
AI presentation is terrible and actually distracting from the content. Questions asked in the quizzes are not covered in the presentation so you have to guess. There are no supplemental materials to read, view, etc. (It would be better to just read a text and answer questions so you could actually have the materials tested available.)
Tip: Write down your answers to security questions because if you don't remember you will be blocked from the course. I do not in any way recommend this online course. If they are producing this terrible content I have to wonder about the in person courses as well.
Coming from someone with ADHD...
Coming from someone with ADHD, the AI guy that is in their videos for each module; is EXTREMELY distracting. The facial movements are not natural and it pronounces certain words wrong and its speaking cadence is off occasionally. I was forced to rewind the videos several times as a result of these issues. I, personally, would appreciate the videos to be recorded of an actual human being as opposed to very strange AI. Therefore, given my particular disability, I sincerely hope this business will take that into consideration for the future, given the extra time it takes to complete the course for people with ADHD. It already takes extra time for me in general, but I couldn't even watch these videos. I had to listen to them because it was just too bizarre and distracting to watch a pretend human try to teach a course.
Terrible grammar- missing statistics
Terrible grammar- missing statistics, spelling errors, repeating sentences, etc. and the final exam has the exact opposite answers of what should be there. They expected me to pull random statistics that were mentioned in one sentence that has nothing to do with being able to drive.
Update Your Site. It's 2025 people...
This was one of the only online courses that actually held true to their statement that it only costs $4. All of the other classes that were approved by my county (Manatee County) that claimed to have cheaper prices actually just hid the fact that they have an additional required fee to charge users by the state, which costs and extra $15 or so. So of course I went with this particular driver's course to save money. The one thing I don't get is how these websites are designed, and why they aren't more contemporary, sleek, and modern to increase traffic to these sites. Most of them were honestly very visually unappealing with garish graphics and boring color palettes. This is 2025. By this point my expectations are way higher, and I think the companies should also hold that standard as well.
Anyways, back to the NiSE program. One thing they don't explain to you are what the "holding times" mean, which appear at the bottom right-hand of the screen. You have to take that amount of time on the same module until that holding time runs out, and you can't move forward until you do so. I understand the purpose behind this, but most of us just want to fly through this without spending hours of our precious time relearning a lesson we may have already learned the hard way. I took one look at the module list and groaned. So. Much. Content. Luckily everything is well organized and straightforward.
I agree with the people who comment on the sites lack of interactive things to keep engagement up and lively. It's like a textbook. But without images. Or videos. Or any fun creative graphics of any kind. Again, it's 2025 and I expect so much more from this company that's made it so affordable for people to use. There's no excuse to have a boring, plain website in this day and age. Especially when you're catering to a wide group of people.

Easy to Navigate
The website was easy to navigate and allowed me to complete my course quickly. Learned a lot of valuable information in the course to use moving forward.
I filled out the paper work
I filled out the paper work, got stuck as I did not see I had to send in my DL and pic of ticket, once I did that you replied quickly and I was off to taking the test.

The program was well organized
The program moved at a reasonable pace. No surprises.
It would be better to have some slides to show more of the data than just staring a a person talking. People tend to learn more visually than auditory.
It would also help to be able to repeat a portion of a module to take in the information that is given at a rapid pace.
NiSE was wonderful
I had gotten a speeding ticket while taking my brother to visit our mother and NiSE made it very easy to take the defensive driving course. It was a little boring, but that's what I get I guess haha. Anyways 10/10 would recomend.

The course was pretty boring and a bit outdated. I did learn a lot though. I wish it wasn’t timed, so that I would have gotten it done faster and not zone out all the time. Maybe some humor would keep it interesting and help us retain information?
Tess Mendoza was very helpful to me.
Thank you!

Good course and fantastic service
Good course and fantastic service. Registration must be validated before you can start the course and Tess approved it outside business hours, giving me the evening head-start I was hoping for. Thanks so much!

The course as a whole was easy to navigate and accomplish. Some of the question selections were quite funny. In general it was easy to understand, but a few sections were poorly written, and could be misleading. There were also a fair number of misspellings. I get it that DUI is a serious offense, but I felt the subject was somewhat beaten to death.

I received help right away they talked me through everything I paid my money i received my class online and therefore I was able to complete my classes online the same day i received them Thank You
Excellent assist in making experience easy.
I called a few times for assistance.I got exemplary help each time. I apologize thar I remember her name but she was absolutely above and beyond what I expect of customer service. The course was great and easily navigatable. I would and already have recommended you, of all the (many) defensive driving schools listed. Thank You so much. You made it all very easy.
Worth doing this online course from home.
This course was so much better than actually doing an in class, because it’s a self paced and it really didn’t seem as long as I really thought it was going to take me to complete. I’ll say yes that the lesson that you read are long and timed but you end up reading before the timer goes off. So just be patient and it’s completely worth doing it online.
Simple and Straightforward
The course was simple and straightforward. I appreciated the opportunity to work at my own pace and take the tests more than once. Thanks to Ellie Juridico and Edna Pulanco for helping me register.
The staff was very helpful
The staff was very helpful, particularly, Tess Mendoza for his tech support via email on some corrections.
