I called up for a level 3 survey on a Friday and I got an appointment booked the up coming Monday!
Dan did the survey and called me after to discuss some main points which was actually really in depth over the phone I honestly found it so useful. It was then 5 working days after to receive my survey which would have been the following Monday but came in Saturday! Re the price it was the cheapest quote I got so I had to go with them!

The survey itself was really in depth and so interesting with all up close pictures.
I am going to use this to think about re negotiating a new price after getting some quotes together.

Overall experience was just fab thanks again Dan and ark surveyors will defo use again and recommend!

We have used this company twice for a Level 2 Home Buyer Report over the course of the past couple of months. We were extremely satisfied by the surveyor's efficiency and professionalism, that we requested he did the analysis for the second property we were looking to buy as well.

Although the results of the first survey were disappointing in terms of the property's suitability, we were particularly happy that we didn't commit to a mortgage for the rest of our lives for a dwelling that was falling apart. Dan was quick to call us right after each inspection so that we could be ahead of the game and make the necessary arrangements with all relevant parties.

Very thorough and detailed analysis; please be prepared to face push-back by the seller in case the report is not satisfactory. They tried to bad-mouth the surveyor, they even left him a bad review, they told us that he didn't spend the time he was supposed to at the property and they also recommended a different company - sounds like marking their own homework but hey ho. Truth to be told, initially we were shaken and started double guessing our decision not to proceed with this property. However, the evidence was all there in the report (detailed explanation supported by plenty of photos) so there was no room for doubt.

The second property was much better than the first, but please take the traffic light system with a pinch of salt. Both houses had lots of red points which at first was disappointing; however, going through the report you could see that many sections were marked in red only because certain guarantees or certificates should be requested by the solicitors.

Overall, very happy with our choice; highly recommend this company. Professional, friendly, knowledgeable and quick in sending out the reports.

I was recommended to Dan at Ark Surveyors by a friend and he did not disappoint. He was really responsive to my questions over email and made the survey appointment very quickly, which helped to show the agent that we're serious. Dan called me same day to highlight the main survey findings ahead of sending over the report, which was invaluable as we wanted to know where the main costs would be. The report itself came 5 days later and was so incredibly detailed, including photos to back up everything written down, which made understanding some of the notes so much easier. Very thorough and detailed survey. I was happy with the fact that I was called on the day of the survey to make me aware of the more problematic areas to be considered prior to completion of purchase. This allowed me to start rectifying issues quicker than waiting for the full report, which was incredibly detailed to say the least. The photographs that were taken were also useful as this allowed me to fully understand the report better and see the issues that had been flagged. Top work.

Dan carried out a level 3 survey on an unusual property we went on to buy and put our minds at ease. He is professional, friendly and takes the time to explain his findings as well as record detailed info on the areas that needed further investigation. The house in question had been empty for a while so was a bit neglected, so for us the level 3 was worth every penny. As he could explore areas that we were not brave enough to do while there with the buyer (namely the attic with it's tiny little ladder). Dan is a fountain of knowledge and won't hesitate to answer questions even after the survey is completed. We now have a part-timbered structure house ( we brought the property in the end) so have continued to ask his advice on this quirky house of ours. The Surveyor was supposed to call me the same day of the survey between 4 and 6 pm but hasn’t done it. I have sent him a message and called him but he didn’t come back with any specific time and at the end he called at 8.30 pm. A real pack of professionalism.in his briefing in the call he also mixed up with other properties he has visited the same day. I found the report a bit superficial in place in terms of so what and recommendations. I have to explore it in more details with specialists. A bit disappointing service !

Dan has been very helpful in the private survey for a flat purchase. Definitely recommend his services.
