Still waiting after months for them to finish.

After our previous roofers disappeared with a not-quite-complete, non-compliant and mostly-paid-for roof, we had a problem which few other firms seemed keen to sort out. Armadillo were an exception. They were happy for us to do due diligence, work with the local building inspector and jump through all the hoops you would expect from a responsible and competent firm. Following discussions and third-party consultations, we agreed on a complete re-installation. Although the project proceeded a little behind schedule due to the season and a few unforeseen issues, we were generally happy with the pace of work and excellent safety standards. All the company staff were polite, friendly, helpful and seemed to enjoy their jobs. We also asked Armadillo to carry out repairs to our rendering and replace rotting external woodwork, which was done to a high standard. The area around the house was thoroughly tidied up at the end of the job and incidental damage to interior plasterwork was made good. There were no issues getting the final installation signed off by the building Inspector and a couple of compliments were received from passing traders (“sublime leadwork”, “solid job”…). We are very happy with the end result and would thoroughly recommend Armadillo.

Roof cleaning

I recently purchased a semi-detached property in Harrow (North West London) and encountered an issue with the flat roof on a side kitchen extension. The felt had been poorly fitted, causing it to bubble, so I reached out to Armadillo Roofing for assistance, having worked with Daniel and Richard on previous projects where they delivered excellent results.

Raf and his team quickly assessed the situation, removing the existing felt and OSB board. They discovered that the roof had been installed over an old, deteriorating structure, which was rotting. Additionally, they uncovered open vents from a soil stack that required capping.

The team took swift action, stripping away the damaged roofing, and then installing new insulation, joists, and skylight bracing. They proceeded to fit new decking, apply a base coat, and install torch-on felt. The final touches included installing new flashing and reattaching overhanging tiles and ridge tiles, ensuring everything was secure and watertight.

The finished roof looks fantastic, and the entire project was completed efficiently without any unnecessary delays. Throughout the process, Armadillo Roofing maintained a high level of professionalism, keeping us updated on progress and taking great care in our home.
