£110 UK customs charge for clothes…

£110 UK customs charge for clothes worth less than £300. The company should have made that clear on their website / flag with big red letters before payment when order placed from UK. The whole process of getting a refund from the company takes more than a month. Incredibly poor.

The most substandard pair of jeans ever!

Bought a pair of jeans last Nov (2021); after light wear (no more than twice per week on average and a rather gentle sedentary lifestyle ie not mountain-climbing or anything!) by early March 2022 they had ripped at the knee, and started to fray at the hems. I patched the jeans and continued to wear them, albeit not often. I did not wear them at all from mind-March until the end of August.

Now (as of Sept 1st), one of the belt loops near the hip area ripped as I put the jeans on this morning, and the tear extended along to the hip so there is a hole in the side of my jeans!

These are honestly the most poorly-made jeans I have ever worn, they are so soft and just bag out of shape really fast. I think it is because they are not 98-100% cotton, obviously the stretch/poly content makes for less durable jeans.

To add insult to injury, this is supposedly "ethical" clothing! It doesn't seem very ethical to me to have to throw away a pair of expensive jeans after less than a year's worth of wear. I have to be honest, I have been really put off buying "ethical" clothing because of this experience. I now definitely try to avoid brands such as Armed Angels and any others that similarly smack of "greenwashing", and would opt for totally "unethical" clothing anytime as I have never had such problems with jeans in my life until this item!

The thought is great but I followed the washing instructions and still it became so small that I can't wear it anymore. I hope my 3 year old niece can fit in it. For how long I could wear it (1x), my shirt was too expensive

Worst customer service I have experienced

Worst customer service I have experienced in a long time.
First of, all communication by default is in German even if you use the English or Dutch website. When you get a reply it is a standard reply with no answers to your initial questions.

The return policy leads to ordering multiple sizes at once and sending back the ones that don’t fit. This increase CO2 emission, which for a brand that claims to be more sustainable, makes no sense. Apart from this the return policy leads to extra costs for consumers, as you will have to reorder if the jeans do not fit, so an additional investment for the same product and additionally pay for all return package costs. So far I have paid €16,95 in just packaging costs for 2 orders and I am not even owning a jeans right now.

On top of that there are grammar and spelling mistakes in the emails and return form. Will not order again nor advise my friends to buy here.

I expected better quality

I purchased the powder rose color activewear set and while I love the colour, fabric feel and design, the leggings ended up stretching and seams opened up after just a week… Also, while the size guide recommended with more than 90% certainty that I would be an M, it turned out to be just a tad too big, especially after the fabric stretching. Pity, since the products are in the higher price range I really expected better quality.

I am so dissapointed

I am so dissapointed. I thought I found an accessible, ecological brand which makes beautiful clothes. Nothing about it is ecological if you can only wear it till the first wash. I followed the instructions exactly on the label and my sweater was nothing like before the wash, I will not be able to wear it again. I thought I will give this brand another chance, maybe I did do something wrong during the wash so I bought a blouse - same thing! It shrunk at least 2 sizes - never wearing it again. What a shame, I will not buy anything from Armedangels again.

Quality is not worth the price

I paid upfront for a delivery to the Netherlands and was incredibly disappointed with the quality of these items. I could tell they wouldn't fit which is fine, but the material is so so transparent that even if they did fit perfectly there's absolutely no way I would be keeping these items. I bought the MONICAA skirt which was totally transparent with underwear on and the KALENAA pants in black which look nice and wide legged and floor length on the images online but were ankle length and very very thin. I just don't feel the quality matched the price at all. The t shirt I bought as well, which is supposed to have the Armed Angels logo embroided but the thread has completely come undone so I didn't even bother trying that on. Super disappointed for 170 euros worth of clothes.

Double charged & yet nothing went through...?

I normally do not leave reviews for companies I never officially ordered from, but this feels warranted based off several other negative reviews I have seen.

I placed an order for a dress I intended to wear to a wedding. Because I am in the US, my bank blocked the transaction. Very understandable because they were worried about fraud!

So naturally once I approve it was me, I re-order this dress. The ARMEDANGELS website said there was an error with my card information. I figure okay, no problem, I can put it in again.

So I put the information in a second time and it goes through. Imagine my surprise when I open my bank account and see TWO pending charges, not one. I never even received a confirmation email.

I have worked in retail and understand that there are errors, so I figure hey, it's no big deal I'm sure it's just some accident. I reach out to the ARMEDANGELS customer service team to clear this up because how can I have 2 charges and no confirmation email?

The rep proceeds to tell me they actually have 0 payments from me. Again, how considering my bank account says otherwise? We have some back and forth about this and the rep suggests I ask my bank to see if they are canceled.

I ask my bank and the woman there said one is canceled. So I tell this to the rep and they say that they have 0 payments from me so both should be canceled. I ask my bank again and she tells me they are.

What I still cannot understand is how #1 I got charged twice when I re-ordered the dress SINCE they claim to never have received payment from me and #2 how my orders were "canceled" when they claim they never have received payment from me.

The rep I spoke to was nice about it, but there is something about it that seems off. I saw others talk about this same "double charge" issue before, so I wanted to share my experience. At least for me, none of the charges went through officially, but I don't understand how any of this even happened. It seems like something isn't adding up.

It's a shame because many of the other reviews are very positive and I was looking forward to this dress. However, I think it's too much of a hassle.

Very friendly and caring customer…

Very friendly and caring customer service. I wasn't so happy with the quality of the products as the jeans are not cheap and for that I expect higher, more long-lasting quality. When bringing this topic up, they were directly interested in finding a solution that fits my problem.
