I was notified of a sale on West German wool blankets and purchased them. Payment was processed and the order confirmed, but a day later the order was cancelled on account of the website misrepresenting the product price. They refused to honour the price and offered nothing in exchange for the inconvenience.

This wasn't a $1 slip either (something I'd understand). The order was for $100+ CAD.

Disappointed and I feel like others should be aware if they're considering purchasing from this website.

The back and forth via email was professional and pleasant, however vendor's response isn't 100% accurate. They did notify me within 24 hours that the order was cancelled, but that initial email didn't have any compromise or solution proposed. It was just a simple "sorry for the inconvenience" type response. After posting this review I figured I'd try and see if they'd be willing to sell a single item (as opposed to my initially purchased 2x) for the price I paid ($108 CAD), and they followed up with a 15% discount offer.

Mind you, this is an item that went from $41 -> $151, and that my friend purchased for ~$70ish 2 years ago. My compromise was paying double the initial listing price + shipping with no fuss. I get that military surplus costs can fluctuate, but offering a 15% discount after a pricing error on their end, and only after I followed up and requested one, isn't what I'd call an ideal buyer experience. Best of luck on the family run business and I hope my experience is an outlier, but my review stands.

Excellent customer service. Jason goes above and beyond to help out. Great products and good prices.

I have bought far too much stuff from this lot recently, but that's my fault, not theirs! The gear is always excellent, and if they describe it as being "used/good" you can bet on it turning up in pretty well brand new condition.
Thoroughly recommend this place.

(And I have to take issue with Jimmy from a previous post.....the overwhelming majority of us Aussies do NOT under any circumstances think kiwis are a bunch of wan**rs).

Very dissapointed with there delivery options i paid for express 3 days for the delivery, it's now been 4 days and will probably end up being a week, I asked to be refunded for the extra I paid to get my delivery in 3 days but they refused

I found an older type of camo pants I had searched everywhere for and purchased two pair from this store. I received my goods and one was the wrong size, they refunded me the same day and did not ask me to send the pants back! I ordered a second time and everything came in just like I ordered it. Only took a couple of days and I am on the eastern side of the USA. Some of the articles they sell are listed as "Grade 2" used but really only had minimal wear when I received them, no missing pieces or holes. I am pretty happy about finding this store and look forward to purchasing again from them in the future.

I bought a pair of Desert Storm overtrou and they're awesome. At first, I thought they were too big...until I was out in the wilderness, got caught in a storm, and had to use them at long last. They were great, perfect in fact. I'm happy...and alive.

I was doubtful after reading some of the comments,but went ahead anyway.
Ordered the product on Monday afternoon got delivered today (4 days) was the product and quality that I saw on the web site Good job Guys

I have made a few purchases online from this store and am very happy with the experience. Always great deals and so much choice! Website is set up well and easy to use. The products are described with plenty of detail on quality so you know what to expect. Fast and reliable shipping and helpful team.

I order off them all the time and I've never had something go wrong ever, if you ever have a doubt about the quality just look at the description some *surplus* is heavily used, again *surplus* it has been used. I just wanted to add that I bought the gas mask and hat off of their shop

Sent pants that are useless. Hole in seat big enough to put thumb through. Absolute garbage. And they sell this stuff? No wonder Aussies think Kiwis are a bunch of Wanchors

Purchased online. They will NOT REFUND [unlike every other Online store I have purchased through], if when you get the item in the post, it is not to your liking/expectation. Rip off ...

Untrustworthy business. Poor customer service. Can't speak to them via. 0800 number. Leave a message then they only respond via. Email. They lie, make Poor excuses for the product being faulty. Don't refund the cost to return goods to them. DON'T RECOMMEND THIS POOR UNTRUSTWORTHY BUSINESS!!!

Very good customer service, large range of commercial and surplus gear. I'd say the quality ratings are mostly accurate, and they have loads of gear from many different countries. My only issue is the fact that certain types of gear is very expensive (Tents, sleeping bags, rucksacks). The whole point of surplus is cheaper gear, but relatively high quality. Fortunately, this is a minority of the gear. Most of the gear I personally purchase is very good, and VERY VERY well priced, this type of gear is mess kits, stoves, pouches, clothing, webbing, survival and camping gear, and accessories. Being in NZ, the shipping is very very fast, as this company is based in New Zealand. I've had parcels arrive overnight! However, if you are outside of New Zealand I would recommend exploring surplus gear in your own country before shopping here. It's most likely going to be cheaper, and arrive a lot quicker. If you are in more "Major" countries such as the UK or US. Don't even consider buying from here. In those countries it's most likely going to be way cheaper, and arrive way faster to buy from your local surplus store. It's sad as I want this business to be supported, but also it's a fact of the matter.

Very happy and great experience with this firm. I had to return due to size and there was never a problem at all. Sent out the new size without an issue. Extremely quick shipping each time!!

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE unless u are 3 sizes smaller then what you order do not waste your time or money! I ordered from this place and not only was it the cheapest material I ever touched feeling like a paper towel type fabric, but after emailing support for exchange or refund I was LITERALLY TOLD they won't do anything. And if I don't see a larger size I'm on my own!!ask and I'll forward there response!!

Order from them 2 weeks ago still haven't received my product bloody place should be shut down. Scammers big time

VERY misleading business!! The Australian website is NOT actually Australian!! The goods are dispatched from New Zealand!! They claim a 2 to 5 business day delivery period, and that's not the case at all. VERY untrustworthy business!! My goods have still NOT arrived! Customer service response to my enquiry was to provide me with a tracking number I already have, and my email enquiry/questions were NOT addressed at all!!

to start, Army Outdoors Australia ships from NEW ZEALAND not AUSTRALIA; so you will probably charged import duties if ordering from Australia- very misleading branding

not very impressed with their terrible service, ordered several items and was not shipped until i wrote them 16 days after purchase

surely they could improve on this if they wanted to improve service and want return customers

No issues, had multiple orders delivered to aus at this point. Products as advertised, good prices. Hard to find many places with milsurp. Recommended to work colleagues, they have had the same experience. Cheers

Sent by DHL and nothing. Post office nothing. WARNING : DO NOT USE they would not to fix the issue nor resend items
And would NOT work with me. Very crooked tactics. Ships from overseas might be SCAM
