Hello Everyone!! It Sheliza Rambaran again. I am on Instagram and here is my experience with Art-K Adult evening classes:

I am a deaf person. I am really impressed by my lovely teacher Nia encouraging and help me gain more confidence in painting technique as I am new to painting.

I am superb happy and excited to be able to paint. Example, painting sunset scenery. OMG I was scared at first because I had no clue where to start. I then so step by step as instructed. Oh Wow!! I love it as I feel so great to see my picture. The truth is I am pleasantly surprised LOL.

I definitely recommend Art-K at Purley to anyone wishes to develop their skills or just for fun.

I must add it lovely to meeting other students as I feel relaxed and enjoying every moment.

Yeva came from Ukraine 4 years ago and started having art sessions in the Art-K.
She is still having and enjoying her every Sunday's lessons.
Yeva's skills and self confidence keep growing and she looks forward to taking lessons in future

My son, Luke, has been attending weekend classes at this centre for around 18 months now and when I ask if he would like to carry on attending at the end of each term his response has always been immediate and enthuiastic - which is probably the best recommendation you can get from an 11 year old who usually prefers to spend his time on an ipad and Playstation!

Nia and her team provide a fantastic and safe creative environment with a great mix of support, guidance and freedom for Luke to express himself through a nice variety of projects. He really enjoys having the opportunity to learn new skills and techniques alongside working on longer-term projects over the course of each term, and takes a lot of pride in sharing and displaying his work at home and with family (particularly his grandparents). What's equally as impressive is that he really enjoys taking what he learns in class and applying them to his own art at home - so the classes are not just pulling him away from his devices during those sessions, they are also encouraging him to explore his art in his own spare time as well.

High recommendations all round from myself and, more importantly, from Luke.

Daughter loves the classes and looks forward to these each week. I feel they are keen to cover more and move on to new projects faster sometimes but she is learning to be patient.

Jess and the team are great. My daughter Lily really enjoys her weekly sessions - her confidence grows every term!

Our six year old daughter attended Art-K Purley for the first time today at the Easter club and had the best time. She said it was her favourite one yet and can’t wait to go back. Really lovely studio and the kids all seemed very happy coming out.

The Purley art-K classes have been a wonderful creative escape for me. Jess and Areeba are warm, encouraging and incredibly supportive, making each session feel relaxed yet thoughtfully guided.

As a working mum, this 90-minute space to focus on something just for me has been invaluable — it’s mindful, fun, social, and genuinely inspiring. I look forward to it every week and always leave feeling energised and creatively fulfilled. Highly recommend the Purley team.

I've been attending a weekly class with Jess at Purley for a couple of terms. I find her an inspiring and helpful teacher, I'm learning a lot of techniques and I'm very pleased with the pictures I'm creating under this guidance. The atmosphere in the class is relaxed and friendly, and very focussed on the art making.

My 6-year-old daughter attended the art camp at Art K and absolutely loved it! She was so proud of the beautiful artworks she created and couldn’t stop talking about all the fun activities. The teachers were kind, patient, and very encouraging. It was a wonderful experience that really inspired her creativity. We will definitely be coming back – highly recommended!

My 2 girls love their art class the look forward to it each week defo reccommend.

I've been attending a weekly adult class for a year now. Really loving it , my drawing skills have improved and I love having that time to be utterly absorbed in creating something. Jess is incredibly patient, encouraging and inspiring.

Nia and Jess at Art K Purley have been so thoughtful in their teaching to ensure my daughter not only enjoys the classes but also help her in her development of independence and confidence.

I wanted an after school activity where my daughter came home less stimulated and more relaxed. And also could explore her keen interest in art. Lily has loved the classes! And even said that she just disappears to her ‘own place’ just doing her art, making friends along the way. The teachers are so lovely, and it’s a really nice environment where everyone talks about their art, and shows it to the class. We are now also using the holiday club too, and it’s great for Lily to know the staff and the location so well, and feel so happy there! Thankyou Art-k!

Upon discovering art-k by accident. I’m glad I did. The art class is freeing and the art teachers are very helpful. It’s inspired me to work towards becoming an art teacher and unlocking art talent that I didn’t even know I had. And boosted my confidence in art by a lot. The adult classes has a range of young adults to senior Which is interesting. And everyone is quite social to. Been going classes weekly classes ever since

Great experience

I love my art classes, they have made me feel confident in my paintings. I look forward to every Thursday. Everyone is very friendly and Jess who runs the class is very supportive and encouraging. My daughter loves it too. I am so grateful to have a place where your creative juices can just flow and create inspiring pieces of work.

My daughter has been attending Art K weekly classes for nearly a year now and she has done some of the holiday classes too. The teaching at Art K Purley has been outstanding. Melanie and Jess have been so supportive, gently encouraging and really helped my daughter with her confidence and techniques. We asked for additional support for secondary school art scholarship applications and Melanie went above and beyond with her help. My daughter was successful in her art scholarship application and I have no doubt that this was due to Melanie's input. Thank you!

Art--k Purley is an exceptional place for young artists to develop their skills and creativity. It has been a fantastic experience for my daughter, significantly improving her artistic abilities and getting her portfolio ready. The support and guidance provided are top-notch, particularly for those pursuing art scholarships or looking for expert advice. Jess and her team are truly outstanding—her passion, expertise, and dedication make all the difference. Highly recommended!

A great place for children to be creative, have a fun time while making new friends and learning new friends. Our daughter went over the half term and really enjoyed it!
I would recommend it!

The Teaching staff are very friendly but professional in their approach and my daughter really enjoys the lessons.
