Mosaic art

I bought a beautiful mosaic picture from this company. It's really well made and arrived packaged well. It was bought as a present, and the recipient will love it.

Jennifer Taylor captures colour

Firstly Thank you to the artgallery.co.uk for introducing me to Jennifer Taylor’s art. This artist seems to capture the colours of a landscape of which I’ve walked on many occasions. The purchase of her art through artgallery.co.uk was made simple because I could connect to Jennifer direct and no other third party was involved or asking for a commission.

Happy Experiences

I have been a happy customer of The Art Gallery for more than 20 years and have always valued greatly the advice and support that has been generously offered to me as an amateur artist. The framing service is superb, and all is carried out with humour and in a friendly and welcoming way.

The curator is very efficient and it…

The curator is very efficient and it looks like it's the only online gallery that offers genuine low limited prints..i.e 10 rather than , say, 150, which makes a huge difference to the investment viability.

I had an account selling art with this…

I had an account selling art with this company on and off for about 5 years or so.
Sold a few prints over the years, but there are a few things that really annoyed me about this company. Firstly, I sold a print that I used photobox to print and deliver to the buyer. I have purchased hundreds of prints over the years from photobox and never once had a problem. However, sold one print to a buyer through this website, the customer said that there was a crease in the centre of the print. Did not forward any images of the crease and artgallery, although they had the payment from the buyer would not pay me, the artist.

Another thing that really got me wound up was after uploaded Ai art for more than 18 months, I was then told that they no longer allow Ai images on the site. So I asked them to cancel my account. I had a reply saying this had been done. So I was a little gutted when two weeks later they still took £50 from my bank for another years subscription to sell on the site. I think this should not be as the company takes a large commission from you when you do sell an image.

Looked again today.

Rammed with Ai art.

Wont be getting anymore money from me though.

It is difficult for us to comment on the ‘creased print’ issue, as this must have occurred before the most recent change of ArtGallery’s ownership on the old computer system. However, it’s likely that the customer would have been refunded in full for the purchase and there would have been no proceeds of the sale from which to take our fee and forward the rest on to you.

You did have discussions with our curator about how using AI could be acceptable. Our response was that it would be ok if there was no obvious copyright issue and if you had changed the AI generated imagery significantly, in order to make it "your own work". In our opinion, in some of your submissions, these criteria were not met.
Some on-line galleries simply don't accept any AI generated work. We allow work which has an AI element, but where the end product is clearly the work of the artist. Such a judgment will always be subjective. There are currently only 282 prints on the site among over 14,000 artworks in total. Of those prints, only 30 or so have an obvious AI element. In our experience, our customers do not seem to be interested in AI Generated artwork, and we think you will have a greater chance of selling art if it’s created by human hand.

We cancelled your account as requested. Your recurring membership fee was automatically charged, and was refunded in full as soon as you contacted us about it. We apologise again for the oversight. Our subscription and commission structure is clearly stated on the website’s artist help pages and terms and conditions.

Great art and huge choice

Great art and huge choice, loved the picture which was purchased and I have only marked the experience down for a few admin issues. Tracking number for the parcel lacked a link to actually track it and not enough info about where the picture was being posted from; if I knew it was coming from Europe, I would have anticipated the slightly longer postage time.
