Content is great, but...

I did subscribe several times, and the course itself was AWESOME, thanks so much for offering those courses. However, I had some problems with my subscriptions. A) PayPal was offered as a method of payment, but whenever I tried, I got an error message from PayPal, saying something like payments to this service couldnt be done. It's not a problem with my PayPal account, I use it all the time for payments and never have issues.
The support team wasnt able to help me, so I had to use a credit card. Thats ok, but if you do offer PayPal (which I prefer over handing over my CC information to every service I sub to), make sure it works for everyone!
Also, they changed their payment plans. It used to be possible to subscribe for only a month, with was great due to my schedule, and also might be nicer for people with less budget for things like that.
Now, the plans start with a 3 month one for 105$, and I really wish they'd still offer a 1 month plan, as a 3 month sub simply doesnt make sense for me.
Therefore, I won't subscribe again, even though the course itself is truly amazing and there is a plethora of great info.
Oh, one more thing: If your subscription runs out, you can no longer access the video replies of your instructor. I am fine with not being able to watch the courses and other students submissions and replies anymore, but blocking access to the responses I got? I don't think that's particularily consumer-friendly, sorry :/

The ultimate in the on line learning experience at your disposal 24/7

Artist Works is an excellent source of musical instruction. The instructional material is very complete and structured to take anyone from beginner to advanced stage of playing. You can start as a beginner, and work your way up, or jump into the intermediate, or advanced sections. It's well worth the cost for the amount of knowledge you can take from it, and it's there for you 24/7.

General Observation

I have taken lessons from both Bryan Sutton and Mike Marshall. The instructors and lessons are very well done and the VE’s are really helpful. Sometimes the material is inconsistant with the lesson (Mike Marshall, Warfaring Stranger) and lesson content grows a little stale.

Artistworks is great!!!

I think Artistworks is really great! I would recommended everyone, who would like to play or play better! I have been playing the guitar since 25 years, and I can tell, by using Artistworks I became a much better player only in a few months. Paul Gilbert is really an excellent teacher, not only a world famous super-virtuoso "guitar god", but also a very humble person, who is really trying to use all his expertise and experience of decades of high class rock guitar playing for the sake of explaining things as easy as possible. No secrets, no hidden tricks, Paul is giving all his knowledge to the students. With Artistworks, it is really up to You only! All you have to do is practicing, the knowledge you will get here! Paul is also making this with so much humor, the lessons are always fun with him, I laughed a lot. My wife also started playing the piano Artistworks, and she enjoys it a lot and also she develops really quickly!

Great instruction but had problems with the auto-renewal

Quality of instruction is tops on this site. My only problem is that when I first joined, I felt the auto-renewal policy was not made explicit enough. Then a year later, when I signed up for another course, I turned off the auto-renewal but found I was still billed for renewal. When I contacted customer service, they did refund my money. However, these two experiences obviously detract from what would otherwise be a great site.

The Paul Gilbert lessons are amazing…

The Paul Gilbert lessons are amazing and have totally transformed my playing. Aside from teaching me new things, he helped me unlearn many bad habits that limited my playing. I have been a member since 2012 and have run through the entire course three times. Paul is continually adding personally-tailored lessons that keep me coming back for more. Last year he taught me to play all of Van Halen I. I will be a member for life.

Worldwide access to worldclass musicians!

Studying music from wherever you are! How great it is that one can study jazz drums with the amazing Peter Erskine! And all those other great musicians. As i like to travel more often it is very handy to be able to study music from everywhere.

The possibility to send in your practice videos to get personal advice from these teachers is wonderful. But even without sending in videos you can learn so much from other students and from the curriculum.

Next to that, one can meet fellow student-musicians from all over the world. Of every age, personality, musical style. Everyone - beginner to professional - can find a musical welcoming home here.

Very good detailed videos

Very good detailed videos, together with music scores in PDF format. Easy to follow and of course you can play the videos over and over to your hearts content, until you have mastered each technique.

Great Fiddle Therapy

Darol's content is fantastic. I've been doing his Fiddle Academy on and off for years. I always come back when I'm feeling plateaued out and frustrated and he pushes me to a new level.

Tony Trischka changed my life

Tony Trischka changed my life! Opened me up to the possibilities of the banjo and allowed me to continue to move forward on my own (isn't that the definition of a good teacher?). I'm doing stuff on the banjo I never imagined, in large part because of my work with Tony. He's so knowledgeable and supportive, and a great human being. Just released my 2nd CD since leaving ArtistWorks, and going strong.

Became aware of a future teacher which was great.

But also found it really hard to connect with a live person at the office when I had a problem.

Videos are good quality, wish they would add more material or build on what they have though.
