⚠️ WARNING International Art Fair Scam — Non-existent events and stolen funds

### ⚠️ WARNING & REVIEW — Art Space / Artist Portal: An Organized Scam
Please be aware that the following entities belong to the very same network:
Art Space Fair
Art Space Events
Art Is Everyone (or *Art is for everyone*)
Artist Portal
I am sharing my full experience with this structure to warn the entire artistic community and prevent others from falling into their trap. 1. Initial Contact & False Promises
I was approached to display my artwork at the *Marbella Showcase* in Spain, along with guarantees of visibility on major, highly reputable art platforms like Artsy. Trusting their setup, I validated my registration and committed funds.
2. Non-existent Services
Once the first payments were made, nothing was delivered. My online profile remained an empty shell with no artworks uploaded, and communication with their team became almost non-existent.
3. A Completely Fictional Event
Suspicious of the total lack of organization, I took the initiative to contact the partner hotel in Spain directly. **The establishment formally confirmed that the company had NEVER booked or prepared this event.** The exhibition was a total fabrication from day one.
4. Strategy of Silence & Fake Cancellation
Management intentionally stayed silent for months, waiting for artists to pay all their installments. It was only after the scheduled dates of the event had already passed that they finally sent an official cancellation email, blaming internal shareholder disputes to avoid issuing refunds.
**Conclusion:** This is not a simple mismanagement issue or a delay, but a deliberate, orchestrated scam. A complete file has been submitted to the authorities (Action Fraud and French authorities) and legal proceedings are underway. 📢 ACTION FRAUD / POLICE REPORT (UK):
Action Fraud previously advised that my individual case was put on hold until further similar reports were received. If you have been scammed by them, please make sure to file a detailed report with Action Fraud UK, referencing Art Space / Artist Portal. The more official complaints they receive against this company, the faster they will reopen the file and take collective legal action against the directors!
**💡 URGENT ADVICE TO OTHER VICTIMS:** If you paid by credit or debit card, contact your bank IMMEDIATELY to request a *Chargeback* procedure for "services not rendered / cancelled event". Do this as quickly as possible before they permanently close their bank accounts!

PIRATES and SCAMMERS

I don’t know where to begin, but there are so many wrongs with this company!!! DO NOT SIGN UP unless you’re happy to say goodbye to £1295 and crashing hopes for an exhibition that doesn’t actually exist. I was signed up for Marbella, it should be taking place next week no communication from ArtSpace, called up the hotel that know nothing about an exhibition. You can’t get hold of anyone, they are all leaving the company and no mention of refunding your monies. I had to contact my bank and claim fraud. Absolute scammers and pirates wasting both artists monies and time! Tell everyone in the art community!!

Terrible experience with Artspace…

Scam? My artist friend’s personal experience with Artspace (Artspace Fairs / Phaidon Press) has been extremely disappointing.

After visiting their Marbella art fair in October last year, my artist friend decided to exhibit with them and paid the full exhibition fee in advance to receive the advertised early-payment discount.

Not long afterwards, the representative assigned to her informed her that she was leaving the company. She contacted her via WhatsApp to say she had resigned and wrote, “I hope they will do what they promised for the artists.” That message immediately raised concerns.

Within a short period, she then received emails from two other individuals using official Artspace email addresses, each informing her that they had also resigned from the company.

After that, communication stopped entirely. She called every Artspace phone number she had, but the numbers were either disconnected or went unanswered. She also emailed every Artspace contact and email address she could find, but did not receive a single reply.

As a result, she has been unable to obtain any information about her booking or recover the approximately €1,300 that she paid. Despite numerous attempts over an extended period, she has received no response from the company.

This has been a very stressful experience for her. She can only speak about her own experience, but based on what happened to her, we would encourage other artists to carry out careful due diligence and proceed with caution before committing funds to exhibit with this organization.

From artist buying ticket artfair

Review from artist buying ticket to exhibit in Marbella 2026
Very poor experience.
Not replying to emails, phone numbers out of use or permenentely closed.
Artfair is supposed to be in less than 2 weeks, but it looks like there isnt going to be any artfair.
I read on the internet that they have done the same in Seville, the art fai was not held as scheduled, and no announcing the artists.

Artists, beware

Invoices not available

Purchased a piece of art from their art fair in London for a significant fee, the artwork was delivered effectively, but have been unable to obtain an invoice or the promised certificate of authenticity, numerous emails to their senior staff are simply unanswered.
Buyers should be aware that any purchase made will not be backed by an invoice, which has raised my concerns as to their business practices.
