Asda have issues which are down to bad customer services and IT

I would have given a minus star rating as this is what Asda deserves.
Asda has too many issues with delivering goods, customer services, and basic online orders. There is no complaints department and the call centre often have issue understanding customers and customer needs. After many months of complaining I will be shopping with Tesco, Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Co Op and Spar. They will be losing over £100 per week but they don’t care.

Asda deliveries have cancelled numerous…

Asda deliveries have cancelled numerous times for no reason, or has been excessively late. I ordered groceries this evening between 5-6pm, relying on them for my dinner. It's now a quarter past 7 and it says the delivery is on its way, expected to arrive at 5pm!

If it told me it was cancelled, at the very least I could go out and sort out food myself, but I've been staying here in case the groceries do arrive. This is the last straw - I won't order with them again, even though I still have a few weeks left of a monthly free pass.

(This is in Cambridge)

Returned £90 worth of online ordered groceries and haven't received refund (despite chasing 3x)

I ordered groceries online on the 29th August and over ordered in error (which I realised once delivered).

Rang customer services who advised me to return the items to the delivery driver when I next had a grocery delivery and the driver would action the refund.

Returned £90 worth of items to the delivery driver on September 11th. No refund was received.

Rang customer services 3x - on the 15th, 22nd & 28th Sep. Each time - they had absolutely no record of my calls (or refund). Each time I was told it had gone through to the payments team and they would email me within 15 minutes. I never received the email (or refund).

In absolute desperation - I have issued a charge back via my credit card for the refund.

'Asda be a joke?

Started well but my grocery delivery has gone downhill. I can't remember the last time i had a full shop , it's all unavailable this unavailable that, the other week 6 items were missing and they were my main meals for the week, as a disabled person I need a reliable service. it's usually 5/6 items every week . the driiver was also late, no notification, they told me they are understaffed, an agent on social media told me Asda are going through a transition so it will be like this for awhile but things should slowly get better ? At present I find that hard to believe.

I recently purchased fruit and lemon…

I recently purchased fruit and lemon pancakes in store prepared for breakfast but was unable to eat as there was so much lemon in them left a bitter taste in my mouth and throat, I have brought before and were great. Not sure what went wrong with this batch. Not sure I will buy again, shame as one of my favourites.

Out of Date goods

Ordered delivery online arrived at right time. 1 item wasn't delivered, burgers were soggy and upon reading cooking instructions said best cooked from frozen. They must have been frozen to start with but not when I received them. Bread rolls had date best before 05/2024.
Only 5 months out of date. How can they operate like this. Absolutely disgusting. Complained and received £3.00 refund out of £24.00. Will never use Asda again

Asda a store in my local area is…

Asda a store in my local area is terrible in the sense that
Products are moved to different areas so you have to walk all over the store looking for the product you require costing you a lot of time wasting and half the time you cant even find the item very bad management i now do most of my shopping elsewhere at rival stores

Don't Use, Unreliable.

Like many other customers it seems, I am constantly being delivered more and more substitutes or the items are just not available at all. I am disabled and simply can't get to the store. I have given them a few last chances, seeing as I prefer a few of their products to the same type produced by competitors but these products are unavailable or substitutes are offered for them now most of the time. If someone I know kindly agrees to go to the shop for me and looks for the products I wanted, they are there, yet I am told they are not available.
I am feeling that because I am disabled I am basically being treated by ASDA like a second class citizen. I have started using a competitors delivery service and they are much more reliable, and now have totally swapped over. So, after being a loyal ASDA customer for many years, they have now totally lost me as a customer.

Reservations aren’t reserved lol

Your reservation doesn’t actually reserve itself. They will override it with another customer who pays quicker than you. There’s nothing on their site or app saying this.

My reservation was to be completed by 12:30. I completed it at 12:10 and an error message came up. The agent on the phone said their reservation system isn’t guaranteed and other customers can override your slot if they complete quicker even if you complete before 12:30.

That’s not how a reservation works. Awful company

Online order placed

Online order placed, only received half the items due to unavailability. One of the items that I should have received and was charged for was missing. I phoned customer service and had to explain 3 times what the problem was. After nearly 15 minutes I was told that I would receive a refund for the item which is fair enough. But for goodness sake Asda you need to train your customer service people to better deal with customer queries. My query should have taken no longer than 5 minutes. Also, please alert customers who use your online shopping facility if there are items in their cart that are unavailable. I would have expected a couple of items to be unavailable but 6 is just ridiculous and 3 of those were Asda own branded goods. It's a joke, definitely not using home delivery again, completely useless.

Delivery

Tracking showed driver arrived 6 pm.At 6:22 showed 'your next stop'.
6:40 showed driver arrived again,7:08 pm called on door entry.
Why have tracking info that bears no resemblance to the actual location of the driver,or when your delivery is actually going to be made.
The feedback link doesn't even work .

I did a click and collect order

I did a click and collect order, turned up well within my time, waited nearly 20 minutes and the 5 frozen items I had ordered were defrosted upon collection! I tried to submit an online complaint and the date selection wouldn't let me put the date in! 2 boxes of rowntree ice lollies, a tub of cookie dough, fish fingers, southern chicken and potato waffles all binned! Not fit for use after being mush and liquid. Also, everytime I've ordered so many substitutes, yet go in store and its all there.

Disgusting

I’d give zero stars if I could. They have charged my credit card, not delivered my order (5 boxes of beer, surprise surprise), noone contacted me to let me know it would not be arriving, 3 days on and still noone has contacted me, the order status is stuck on ‘unlikely we will get your order to you now’, and there is no way to request redelivery or a refund without telephoning the helpline. First and last time I will ever place an order with Asda.

Driver wanted home early

Requested my order to be delivered between 8-10pm on the Sunday of the Euros Final, got a phone call from the driver asking me to be home for 4.30pm as he wanted to finish early because of the football. I was working and could not be home, hence why I requested a 8-10pm delivery slot. If Asda was giving people the night off they should have not allowed us to book those time slots! They knew the euros final would take part that night! Spoke to customer services who told me they would cancel my order and add vouchers to my cash pot, the driver still turned up even after I cancelled and have never received vouchers! Disgraceful service and will not be using Asda ever again.
