Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Looking at 262 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Customers frequently report that products received are of poor quality, often described as cheap material and not matching the advertised images or descriptions. Many found items to be poorly made, with issues like loose stitching, flimsy fabric, or incorrect colors. Reviewers also consistently highlight significant problems with sizing, noting that items are often much smaller than expected or bear no resemblance to standard measurements, making them unsuitable for wear. Furthermore, many people experienced considerable frustration with the company's refund and return policies. Customers report that the business often refuses full refunds, instead offering partial compensation to keep the unsatisfactory items, and frequently fails to provide a return address. The process is described as difficult, with some resorting to credit card companies for resolution. Additionally, orders often arrive after significant delays, sometimes weeks later than expected, or are never delivered at all.

Similar to everyone else here

Similar to everyone else here. Numerous emails won’t provide return address. This is their blurb!! I just want my money back, u thought I was buying from a uk based company. The jacket was terrible quality .
“Thank you so much for your reply and for taking the time to explain your concerns. I completely understand your frustration, and I want to make sure we reach a resolution that feels fair to you.

To help you avoid the hassle, time, and cost of sending the item back to our fulfillment centers in the Netherlands — where returns usually cost between £15–£25 depending on location and can take up to two weeks to complete — we’d like to offer you a 25% refund of your order total. You’ll be able to keep the product, and once confirmed, the refund will be processed directly to your original payment method. If you don’t wish to keep the item, you might consider gifting it to a friend or family member — it’s a nice way to put it to good use rather than letting it go unused.

We’re extending this partial refund as a balance between customer satisfaction and the unavoidable costs involved in running our operations, such as processing fees, personnel wages, and advertising expenses. These are real costs we absorb with each order, which is why we’re unable to go much higher while keeping our prices reasonable for everyone.

Please note that the shipping and handling costs would need to be covered on your end. Most of our customers prefer to accept the partial refund as it’s quicker, simpler, and avoids further delays.

Many of our customers find this partial refund option more convenient since it saves time and avoids any extra costs. Please let me know if this works for you so I can process it right away.”

Do not buy from this company

The company advertises as being based in Oxfordshire UK selling quality clothing products that will be shipped using UK mail services. None of the statements are accurate - the company ships from outside the UK, the products are very poor quality and the company has no UK presence at all. There is no easy way of returning products for a refund and to do so would be to throw good money after bad. All I have been offered by way of compensation is a 30% refund and this has not arrived after many weeks and chaser emails I’ve sent.

This is a fake online business and…

This is a fake online business and should be avoided:I tried to return the order within 24 hours of receiving poor quality goods. I exchanged several emails without any positive reply for returns reference. I continued to chase them. Finally, I received email offering 50% refund on 29 October 2025. As yet I have not received any refund. I am disgusted, frustrated and consider this business a fraud fake falsely misleading customers it is a UK company. I urge customers to be careful. Here is copy of last email message received below:

Dear Nxxxxxxx,

Thank you very much for your reply and for confirming our proposed solution. I truly appreciate the way you’ve worked with me to bring this matter to a positive close.

I’m pleased to let you know that we’ve now processed a 50% refund, totalling £94.90, back to your original payment method. Depending on your bank or card issuer, it may take around 2–7 working days for the refund to appear in your account, though it often shows up sooner.

We’re genuinely grateful for your patience and understanding throughout this process. I hope this resolution leaves you feeling fully satisfied with your experience. Please know that you’re a valued Ashford & Clarke customer, and we’ll always be here to assist — whether you need help with a future order, product advice, or simply have a quick question.

Thank you once again for choosing Ashford & Clarke. We truly appreciate your trust in us and hope you continue to enjoy your purchase with confidence.

Kind Regards,
Emily

Avoid and read reviews!

Again, echo the reviews on here. Boots arrived and are not as pictured on the website. Cheap looking and zip did not work. Offered eventually a 30% refund but did not happen. I didn’t want the faulty boots! Emails received saying the shipping to Holland would be £25 but never supply an address to send it too. Please avoid!!!

Awful dropshipping scam artists

Awful dropshipping scam artists. Terrible quality products dropshipped from China, return policy that requires sending product back to a Netherlands return address at buyers expense. Attempts to buy you off with a "20% refund, keep the item" while alluding to risk/delay/cost of returning it overseas.

Avoid like the plague.

Total scam from a fictitious UK company…

Total scam from a fictitious UK company actually originating in China. Jacket advertised as XL but barely big enough to fit a teenager. No response from customer services. Do not be deceived by classic English branding and if seen on Facebook - ignore or buy at your peril.

Please don't buy anything from this…

Please don't buy anything from this 'company' it is a total scam. They advertise themselves as being a small family run company in Oxford, UK. This is untrue. I ordered my jumper and it took weeks and weeks to arrive despite on the website saying it would be a few days. Several times I contacted them to be told it was on its way. Eventually I contacted them to cancel my order as I was going away and guess what? .... two weeks after that it arrived.. I was not there so it was returned to sender. Now they are telling me I can't have a refund as it has been returned to the courier and not the warehouse...
