Degree downgrade

I will be losing my job and tuition assistance in the upcoming future and I requested a downgrade to an associates program for the same major. I will no longer be able to afford the monthly payments so instead of losing time and money I have invested I can’t understand why some sort of accommodations can’t be made . I think that if you are enrolled in a B.A. or B.S. program and haven't even finished the Associates part of it, that i should be able to roll it back if I choose. I should not be told that I cannot do this when I am the one choosing my educational path and how/where I want to spend my money

This worked out well for me

This worked out well for me, I was sent all my materials in a timely manner, it was easy to pay for everything, and I didn't really have any problems with the website. Something did happen that I don't remember what it was and it took a few help tickets to get it fixed which is why I did 4 instead of 5 stars.

A great school for working adults who are pursing their degree. I was working two full time job and Ashworth’s set up was great for me. It took me 5 1/2 months to finish my bachelors degree but it was all worth it! Communication could be better but i understand it.

I love the Rn to BSN program! I Initially started at another school and was not learning anything relevant to my nursing practice. I transferred to Ashworth and it has been amazing! Bo in admissions has been amazing! I love the format and that I have the ability to work on my classes at my pace! I would definitely recommend this program and I already have!

I won't advice anybody to go to this college. I think it's a waste of time. There was this white lady at their accounts department who was very rude to me because I have an accent.

As the mother of a student I have been…

As the mother of a student I have been greatly disappointed on my daughters experiences. My daughter paid over and beyond for her classes plus scholarships she received. We are just now learning that because she is not a resident of California she is not going to get back what she paid in. According the the student handbook she would receive a refund but that is not true. My daughter wanted to peruse a different path with her education and not that will not be possible. The amount of scholarships they say they will refund don't add up there was over $2000.00 . Not the $500.00 they are going to write 2 checks for, there were more than 2 scholarships. Please be aware of the fine print.

SCAMMERS, Be Aware!

I enrolled in their CDA program. I completed some work, but decided to cancel the day after because my company told me that this is not one of the colleges that they're partnered with, in order to get tuition reimbursement. In the policy, it states that if you cancel within the first 5 days, you will receive a 100% refund. I didn't receive a refund, and now they're trying to tell me that I owe them a balance of $130, WHAT? Keep in mind that I was on a payment plan for $599 (the total cost of the course), and had only made my first payment of $20. My next payment was due a month from then. Since I cancelled the course, I should not have to owe anything and I should have been submitted my refund of $20. I will be leaving every bad review about this company, as well as taking the proper precautions to sue them. THE WORST college and not even accredited, save your time and money!

Very disappointed with this school

Very disappointed with this school. They offer classes that they do not have class books for. My husband has been trying for over a month and has not received the work book. We have contacted them may times and we seem to just get excuses. He can't go any further in the course till he gets the book. I guess this is common practice for them to take the money and not do what they say. Don't waste your time.

Do your homework before you sign up

Do your homework before you sign up. Google CBCS from NHA to see if this designation is for you. It doesn’t seem to be popular everywhere. Get everything in writing from Ashworth before you sign up. They promised me study materials for a CPC designation from AAPC. They didn’t provide any study materials for CPC. It is going to cost me thousands more to get a CPC from AAPC. Good luck with your decision.

Words Can't Explain It

My bachelor's program in criminal justice was easy, breezy. The customer support was always available and my assignments were always graded in a timely manner. I didn't start experiencing nightmares until I enrolled in the Masters Program and saw, first- hand, just how unethical people in this school could be when it comes to resolving issues.

In 2018, after completing my bachelor's degree and paying off my tuition balance, ensuring I had a balance of 0 on the books, I immediately registered in the Masters program on a Wednesday night, because I wanted to keep my study habits going. I paid the first semester's tuition in full, but, when I went to log into my classes, I was locked out. I had that statement that said to contact the school. I immediately contacted the student support team, that was so helpful during my bachelor's degree, and now the same people became the helpless desk. They had no POC or a telephone for anyone within the Masters program.

I was told I had to submit an email to an alias and wait for someone to respond back to my concerns regarding logging into my course. I sent the email late Wednesday night and waited until Saturday morning, and no one responded. Saturday at noon, I contacted the helpless desk and told them I wanted to drop my Master's course.

It was then I was told my classes were blocked and that the tuition I just paid on Wednesday night was owed to the school. Apparently, I had an outstanding balance. I asked how was that possible, when I didn't have a balance with the school. I received no logical answers. I demanded to drop my course, but I encounter road blocks filled with unanswered questions and NO one to give me answers. It took me nearly two weeks to resolve a problem Ashworth created. They wanted to keep my tuition down payment without any valid explanation.

Going into the second week of resolving this matter, I received a threatening email from the school stating that it had made numerous attempts to receive payments from me and now my information was being forwarded to a debt collector. Again, how was that possible, when 1) I had balance of 0 when I complete my bachelors (I print screened it to show my calendar date and time) and 2) I had a balance of 0 when I initially started the Master's program and dropped it 3 years prior (I had the print screen of that the bank statement showing the refund from Ashworth). SO, now all of a sudden, I owed the school nearly two thousand dollars on a 0 balance account.

And, the person that sent the threatening email , provided no proof (documentations, copies of previous letters making attempts to collect debts, etc.,) of me owing . It was just a nasty, mean, filled with lies letter, that was threatening to destroy my credit if I didn't pay. I got all the names and statements of the people I was interacting with, because I was constantly being passed around from one helpless helper to another. I had enough.

Just when I was in the process of seeking legal assistance from my company, I contacted Ashworth from my company's legal office and I told the woman that answered what I was in the process of doing, and this kind woman said she would assist me. She looked into the system and saw there was an error. She balanced it out, and refunded me my money.

My issue was finally resolved and I was reimbursed, but the measures this school took to take money from me and then turn around and threaten me by sending my information to a debt collector, made me NEVER want to take another class with this school, even if it was the last school on earth that I could afford. Unethical practices that NO one should go through, especially, when you know you did your part by paying your tuition off in advance before completing your program. Never Again!
