I had a fantastic experience dealing with Aspen Woolf, in particular Luke Edwards, as a experienced investor in the UK and overseas market I like to think I’m pretty educated within the market but after speaking to Luke I realised there was various things I didn’t know, Luke was friendly and truly knows what he is talking about. His knowledge, friendliness and professionalism made the buying process very easy.

I would recommend Luke to anyone who is looking to find a very good investment property in the UK.

A very satisfying & worthwhile experience!

First off I want to itinerate that I am a first-time buyer, and alongside being an owner-occupier, purchasing the property for myself to live in, this was a really scary and nerve-wracking experience for me when I begun to look for properties in Manchester.

But from the moment I first spoke to Michael Scottow, he was so friendly, approachable and easy to talk to, which has made buying my first home surprisingly stress free and incredibly smooth! There were a few other properties which he showed me initially at Bridgewater Wharf, but it didn’t quite fit what I was looking for - instead of trying to push the sale anyway, he really gave me the space and time I needed to wait for the right one and prioritised my needs. He called me every time one became available and was always on hand to talk things through with. And then eventually he found the one that fit everything I was looking for at Bridgewater Wharf - the location, size, price. Everything was perfect!

Buying your first home is always a bit scary, but we’ve had so many laughs and great conversations over the last month or so which has eased all my anxieties, it just felt like I was talking to a friend - dealing with Aspen Woolf overall has just been such a great experience!

On the night I made my initial payment to secure the property, I wanted to go and view it to make sure I was completely happy (as I only live over the river from the development), and as the finance team had finished for the weekend, Michael and Matthew Riddington, the managing director, stayed late for me and were really patient with me while I went over to have another look at the apartment I wanted, before I went through with the payment. This really meant so much to me, and they didn’t rush me at all. It just allowed me the time to be completely sure. They were both really supportive and fantastic through the whole process.

Following this, Michael put me in touch with Hilary Walters, who is SO lovely. She helped arrange my next steps and put me in touch with a mortgage advisor and solicitor firm who have already processed many of the other investments for Bridgewater. Once again what would have usually been quite a stressful experience organising my finances, as this is all completely new for me, but it has been simplified and stress free. She mentioned she was always available on WhatsApp or by phone if I needed anything or had anything I was unsure on. I have just felt really supported the whole way through this process, and as someone who feels quite anxious about things like this, it has meant the world to me. I’ve never felt alone and it’s so reassuring to know there’s a team always on hand to talk and chat whenever you need them.

Thank you to the team at Aspen Woolf - you’ve made what would usually be a stressful time in anyone’s life a really smooth and enjoyable one. But thank you most of all to Michael - I now get to live my dream of living in Manchester in my own apartment in a great location, a stunning development at an unbelievable price because of you. Thanks for your patience, support and for just always being there. As promised, I absolutely will be sending you a video of me popping the champagne when I move in!!

You’re a total gem!!!

Luke Edwards did a good sales job and was helpful and easy to contact. The rest of the team especially sales progression have been right on it! I do however continue to be regularly contacted by umpteen different salesmen trying to sell me either what i have bought or what i have already said no to, Clearly these are agents from different companies or freelance and there seems to be no central database. I have exchanged but not completed, so feel it’s rather too early to write a proper review

Put in a deposit to buy a flat in Leeds through AspenWoolf. What a blunder!! The flat is far less valued than originally quoted(RICS Surveyed report). Most lenders are refusing mortgage, multiple nil valuations on flats.Only lenders agreeing to provide mortgage are about 3% to 4% more expensive than high street lenders and exorbitant product fee.
Lots of hidden costs. Once exchange is complete, you are on your own.

The team hillary and uddin are fantastic people. They always carry me along and always ready to address any issues that I may have.

As useful as a chocolate teapot. Michael is full of himself and when caught lying they double down! Do not recommend unless you want to waste time and money. 'we are master agents' more like master baiters.

I must mention Luke Edwards who was excellant in guiding me as a very nervous first time investor through the process and giving me confidence to see it through. Avoid...unless that is you are happy to hand your money to a convicted criminal. Read on.
This company operate a high pressure sales technique, which is nothing more than a scam, beware!
These sharks who boast of operating out of Dubai (1st Red Flag!) will promise you a spectacular business opportunity, which will have been sold to you at an inflated cost, ultimately a purchase of Negative equity. Once they have convinced you to commit, made a deposit they will pressure you to deposit more of your money with the threat that your money is lost and forfeited , Leeds Great George Street is a perfect example! These rogue traders held off with valuations, until after completion, at the 11th hour whereby a number of independent industry surveys indicated that these property's had been marketed at a vastly inflated price, ie 30%! In there own words 'an exceptional project'! Ultimately i was advised by the very Conveyancing team they appointed not to deal with them, as their behaviour was utterly unprofessional and immoral. This is an outrageous case, which has been repeated at Leeds. The issue is now in the hands of my legal representatives, needless to say i expect a full refund.
UPDATE Jan'25 - another shocking insult from these cowboys, i'm now dealing with utility bills set up for a property i have no connection with, and sold on by the developer Priestley / Aspen Woolf !
Hang your heads in shame Nathan Priestley, Matthew Riddington.

So Mathew Riddlington, 'MD@Aspen Woolf', Nathan Priestley - seems you forgot to mention the criminal past of persons and developers you are happy to engage with, and sell on to the unsuspecting public.

The following is a matter of public record:

The Government department made a prohibition order against Nathan Priestley, under section three of the Estate Agents Act 1979.

Priestley was the sole director of Priestley and Co Ltd, based in Southbrook Terrace, Great Horton. He was convicted of conspiracy to conceal and/or convert criminal property.
Nathan Priestley background...a matter of public record,
'Following his conviction, the OFT carried out its own investigation under the Estate Agents Act 1979 and determined that Mr Priestley was unfit to carry on estate agency work. Mike Coates, assistant director in the OFT’s goods and consumer group, said: “This was a serious offence and a reminder to all estate agents that by committing acts of fraud or other dishonesty they are likely to face a ban from the profession.”
Avoid.
