They will not honor their warranty

They will not honor their warranty, purchased shorts that started to unravel in less than a week. Assos made all kinds of excuses. In the end they offered a 30% discount on something totally unrelated. Horrible experience.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service, which is really shocking for a premium brand. No-one responds to emails. The bib shorts I ordered were really terrible, the seam caused lots of irritation, but not response on returning them.

I will stick to Rapha from here on

Just poor service

Just poor service. For a brand with a reputation for quality cycling kit the customer service is poor and website really clunky. Responses take an age. Quality of a GT Jersey was not good (stitching coming apart after one wash) but they refused to accept me returning for a refund and instead gave me a voucher code that doesn’t work! I shall revert to only buying Castelli again as the service is just miles better.

Sent the order with duties

The company sent the order (to PL) with mandatory duties without notice. I tried to figure out how to pay for them, but I didn't get any help from them. The order has been returned and I'm still waiting for a response from the support service (for 3 days already) but I still haven't received it

Ordered £500 of kit. It confirmed express delivery, ok I will make allowances for the weekend, but UPS have just let me know after 4 days the goods have moved from London to Tamworth. And now my delivery has been "Rescheduled "

So it's now arriving on Friday 23rd!
6 days after it was ordered.
Which would be ok if they didn't describe that as EXPRESS!

Not as good as they used to be

Have been a long time customer of Assos but feel the quality and fit is not the same anymore. For example, bib tights in my normal and recommended size just dont fit anymore (too many panels and the material is rough) and their waterproof overboots only last one winter before falling apart. Buying anything online is a gamble. Furthermore their delivery tracking information does not update and there is no information available about when your parcel is likely to be delivered. Customer Service just tells you what you already know.

Long time Assos customer

Long time Assos customer. A few years back quality control was much better and sizing was more true to size. However no problem with their website shop. They returned the money for bibtights with stitching issue. Always got money back after return via parcel service.

I have been a regular client purchasing…YES

I have been a regular client purchasing road bike kit apparel for several years from ASSOS - unfortunately there now appears to be Duty and Excise Tax applied to orders placed in Canada to ASSOS Switzerland - the order I placed was for ~$225 CDN and the duty and excise tax was ~$100 CDN - appreciate that this is not totally ASSOS's issue but all of my previous orders did not incur these charges and I decided to refuse the shipment - Need to Find a Work Around - I love their product - great fit and great durability BUT!

Bad customer service

Received a 15% off Assos code for completing the Assos Triple down Challenge but unfortunately code didn't work. Initially Customer service did follow up promptly and after some emails back and forward they promised to send me a payment link for the articles in my shopping cart. Nearly a month further still waiting. Even after sending 3 reminders it remain quite on the side of Assos. Your products are very good but your Customer service is sooo bad.

Complete PITA to Deal With....
I purchased two Mille GT Winter Bib Tights for £350 (unsure of sizing) and the design was not as expected. Returning these for a refund was extraordinarily difficult. Returning to Europe without the right documents and poorly translated guidance.
Assos customer service is woeful and does not even respond despite numerous reminders. I ended up complaining about them not dealing with my complaint in the end. I genuinely suggest they are best avoided.
Perhaps buy their goods, if you must, from a reseller?
I have shifted to Gorewear now, not perfect but much better service and very similar quality products.

fraudulent website!

I placed an order on July 19, 2024, for a cycling bib and jersey. Suddenly, I had to pay customs fees before my package could be delivered. I went ahead and paid, but I already sensed something was off. Apart from receiving a fake package with just a ribbon inside, there is no trace of the website anymore. Filing a complaint is no longer possible. Be cautious! It’s pure fraud. I ordered from a different site than usual, and unfortunately, I got scammed.

I have been a long time customer of… ASSOS ... until now.

I have been a long time customer of ASSOS cycling, up until 2 days ago. I ordered 5 pairs of socks, to get free shipping. Then I got a bill from FEDEX for $50.05 Canadian. Duties and such, which was a first for any ASSOS shipment. That put me off any reorder. I ordered sock size ASSOS I, which i already have numerous pairs of that size. They are massive. The heel comes well into the achilles. Super disappointing in ASSOS.
I was really trying to do another round of their socks instead of RAPHA. As my RAPHA merino socks get worn out quickly, I do wear my socks a lot.
I will just stick with RAPHA from now on.
I will note that ASSOS has fully lost me as a customer, and I have told all my friends about this issue, and will continue to let people know about the poor state of ASSOS.

I will add, I just received an order from Rapha, just socks, pretty much a similar order to ASSOS and the dutites were 0. They shipped via Canada Post.

So an order of 150 CDN from ASSOS cost 200.00 and the same from Rapha cost 150.

And I was a big fan of ASSOS for years.

Premature stitching failure in Trail Tactica Cargo shorts

I bought a pair of Trail Tactica Cargo T3 shorts 14months ago. The shorts have never been crashed, and have had about 8-10 wash cycles. I always used specialist sports wear detergent for washing.
The stitching between the elasticated waist band and the front panel has started to fail and the 2 panels are separating. My gf who works in textiles suggested that some of the interlocking was 'missed'during manufacture.
I submitted clear pictures of the failing stitching to Assos, but got a boilerplate 'appears to have been caused by usage / wear & tear' and 'stitching failures are not covered by warranty' response. One wonders how useful the Assos '2 year warranty' is if mere 'usage' of a garment is enough to invalidate it?
The CS email added insult to injury by offering me a discount on my next direct purchase...thereby cheesily attempting to turn a failure of a poorly made product into a further sale.
Have been buying Asso for around 30years now, but this poor experience means i'll go elsewhere in future. Their stufff used to be really high quality but it no longer seems to be the case, and they don't appear to be willing to stand behind their stuff when things go wrong.

Good product, good service

I'm slightly surprised to see negative reviews as I had an overwhelmingly positive experience of Assos. Helpful and responsive customer service with queries, a good outcome when I damaged the bib shorts in a crash, and a product that has been very comfortable. Yes, it's not cheap but I'd say you get what you pay for.

Bought a Jersey with free socks. Shirt delivered without the free Socks but with a plastic cup instead. Reached out to customer service about the missing socks. Getting a Not very customer-friendly answer. I expected more from Assos.

Undelivered item

I have bought an assos bib, they havent deliver it to me from 2/7/2024. The delivery address is in Italy. They're replying to my emails only that they will contact the courier company and they gonna let me know.
Unprofessional at all levels.
no refund , no any effort to find a solution.
Disappointment for a company like that.

Bought Assos MILLE GT half shorts and they were awful

Bought Assos MILLE GT half shorts which claim "Shorts engineered for long-distance comfort".
Frankly the shorts were really poor and I was squirming uncomfortably after cycling just 40km, seems to be really ineffective padding in the perineum area.
Asked for a refund expecting to take advantage of their supposed policy of "Free returns within 30 days of receipt" as stated on their website but Customer Service refused a refund as the shorts had been worn (once). How someone is supposed to know whether shorts are any good without actually riding in them is beyond me!
To add insult they offered me a discount on future purchases. Guess what ASSOS - I won't be making any future purchases if this is how you treat customers.

Great experience with Assos

My experience with Assos has been great. Have owned a pair of Mille shorts for last 5 years (which are still going strong) and decided to treat myself to another pair recently. Through no fault of Assos I had to deal with customer service and their response was extremely good and resolved my issue beyond expectations. Also own jersey and accessories and all have been high quality and durable.
