RT OCR TEST NOT VALID FOR TRAVEL TO DUBAI

Extremely misleading selling RT PCR leaving travellers significantly out of pocket due to missing QRcode. Website is extremely poor with little information. Customer service appalling and offering no refunds. DO NOT BUY.

We do not list on our website that we do not provide QR codes, as it would not be reasonably possible for us to list all of the services and options that we do not provide, which is why we only list what services and options we do provide.
I am sorry that you feel our website is poor, we do provide all information of the services we provide on our website and the terms and conditions are made available to customers prior to booking and these are agreed to when booking and within these terms and conditions it does state that a refund can only be issued for in centre appointments if cancelled over 48 hours before the appointment time.

The missing QR Code issue for Emirates…

The missing QR Code issue for Emirates Flights and also the Self Administered tests not being acceptable on these flights needs to be highlighted

We do list on our booking pages before customers book tests that they are self administered swabs as per below
'Book an appointment to attend for a self administered swab at a time convenient to you.'
If the customer then continues with the booking process we also list the steps in the testing process which also states that you will be issued with your test and that the test is a self administered process. Both of these pieces of information are provided for patients prior to the completion of booking.

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company! Myself and my husband bought the next day PCR tests to travel to Dubai. My husband's test come back 'unclear' even though he'd done a PCR test at a test centre 2 days before & one the following day....both negative! We also told the receptionists that we were going to Dubai. At no point did they point out that you need a QR code to fly with Emirates so even if the test had come back negative they would have been useless and we'd have wasted a trip to Heathrow! My husband has sent an email to the company regarding this but no reply! I have since tried to look on the website but can't see anywhere that it states no QR codes are given!

We are sorry to hear you are not happy with your experience with us. As stated on our results certificates, unclear results are a valid result and occur due to traces of the virus being detected in the system but not to a high enough level to be a clear positive.
Our staff are not liable for informing customers of their potential travel requirements or advising on specific travel regulations, it does state in our terms and conditions listed before booking that it is up to the customer to ensure they have booked the correct test for their needs.

Buyer beware
Bought the 24hr PCR test to fly to the UAE with Emirates only to find out that Assured’s certificates do not come with a QR code which is a prerequisite of Emirates. The receptionist at the Darlington test centre told me that most of the customers that day were flying Emirates, so presumably there are many being caught out and holidays put in jeopardy. Had a fruitless exchange on their chat site where I asked for QR code which they say they cannot provide. Asked for money back and got the T&Cs thrown back at me and a statement that a sample certificate is included in their website. This is sharp practice in my view and explicit attention should be made to the lack of a QR code. Have had to pay for more rapid tests and drive 2hrs each way to Manchester today. Very unhappy!

The QR code issue

I have previously used Assured Screening for pre-travel testing, driving to France, and been satisfied with the process and service. However, I received my PCR test result this afternoon, ready for my flight in less than 24 hours, to Australia via a transit in Dubai. It was only a chance remark from my son that alerted me to the QR code problem - they are mandatory for Emirates flights and I didn't have one. After a stressful, panicky few hours I drove to East Midlands airport in the Friday evening half-term rush-hour for a second test and now have my certificate and QR code. But I wasted £79 using Assured Screening; they really should make it VERY clear to the unsuspecting public that they do not provide QR codes - unlike most of the other private testing companies. I could have been denied boarding tomorrow, which just doesn't bear thinking about.

Superb service from a trusted provider.

Superb service from a trusted provider.

I have used Assured Screening on a few occasions now and i have always been so impressed by their service. The Drop Off boxes not only provide a risk free service, but also include actual humans sat behind a desk who are happy and willing to answer your questions. One such person was Carrie from the Newark office. She was above and beyond helpful and is a real credit to the organisation.

There are cheaper providers out there that have provided me with terrible service with lost tests etc...for a stress free process pick these guys!!!

Fit to fly certificates do not contain a QR code so may be useless.

Be aware that a fit to fly PCR test from this outfit may be useless as their certificates do not contain QR codes. I think it reasonable to assume that all fit to fly certificates are the same but they are not. Unless you know exactly what you need I suggest you go somewhere else that is more transparent about the service they provide (or don't).

After reading the reviews I was so…

After reading the reviews I was so worried this company would let us down and ruin our holiday. However, we were allowed to enter 10 mins before our allocated time 12.00pm). Receptionist was very helpful and friendly, helping us when needed. Then at 3pm the following day our results arrived!! Pure relief. Thank you AssuredScreening.com - will use again and recommend.

Only getting 1 star as there is no -no…

Only getting 1 star as there is no -no star option. Booked a same day PCR. Results not received by 1159 as detailed in advertising. No contact to alert to delay. Needed for a morning flight. When contacted at 0700 next day just stated unexpected delay…. Not much use when you are relying on for a flight. Comms from customer service poor. See below. Do not use this company!!!

Thank you for your email. We wouldn't be able to tell you specifically what happened as we don't have access to that information. We meet the turnaround times 99% of the time, however we don't guarantee this as we have to account for any unforeseen delays that may occur. You are not purchasing a guaranteed Same Day service, we only aim to have your result completed by a certain time, we cannot be held responsible if it takes longer due to delays. Your sample entered into our laboratory for testing yesterday afternoon at 15:50, it has not been lost. The only thing we can do is message our results team to chase your result up with them, however they don't start till later in the morning.

Dear assured screening. Thanks for your reply. I is a bit ambiguous though I am sure you will agree as I’m sure you can see from the customer service transcript that ‘Liam’ was quite adamant there would be no refund and I suspect there only was as you had lost the sample and could not provide the result at all. The refund in no way covers the additional costs and stress so regather than being a positive you really highlight how poor your customer service is !!

Last of flexibility - avoid.

My flight was cancelled at the last minute and I asked if I could receive a refund. This was flatly refused. Given I had booked it less than 24 hours previously, I fail to see the sense in their terms and conditions.

If I were you, I'd choose a different provider who understand how flexibility is important and how, especially in this post-Covid world, circumstances can change last minute.

Very disappointed. Avoid.

Great Service

I was due to fly to the USA in May last year and had paid for my day 2 and 8 return tests but my visit was cancelled due to covid so I email Assured to tell the that I was going in January 2022 and they send me a new conformation letter so I using the test now....just waiting for my day 2 results which is taking a long time....but overall great service

Booked an outbound travel PCR test to fly. Only to get to the airport and they stated that a health professional needed to do the test. The test center told us to do the test ourselves with no one saying there was going to be an issue. THIS IS WRONG ADVERTISEMENT. I had to pay £120 for a 4-hr test and get that done quickly to make sure we didn't miss my flight. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TRAVEL. I'VE EMAILED THEM AND NO REPLY.

AVOID AVOID AVOID. YOU WILL BE SCAMMED FOR YOUR MONEY

The company has now replied below. Funny how they reply to a bad review but not my email. They state someone contacted me, but I've received no email. They sate "we provide self administered swabs and our terms and conditions do advise that it is up to the customer to ensure that they book the correct test for their needs.". So why dont you say this on the information on the booking page? why doesnt it say "you will need to make sure you book the correct test, we provide self administered swabs while some flights require a health professional to complete the test. Please check your flight requires the right one" That takes 2 lines in the add and it clearly states the test you provide may not be fit for travel. But no they want to scam you of your money so they put it in the T&C's and write fit for "Outbound travel" on the test to take your money. I can guarantee you no-one is using that service and still traveling. YOU CAN'T TRAVEL WITH THESES "Outbound travel" TEST. AGAIN DO NOT USE THESES SCAMMERS. I LOST MY MONEY AND THEY WONT CONTACT OR GIVE ME A REFUND ON THEIR FALSE ADVERSTING

In your case you have stated that you required a health professional to complete your test, we do not state that we provide this service on our website. There are some countries who do allow self administered tests to travel so some people can use our service and still travel.

Website not functioning fully

Several attempts at uploading both Covid vaccination evidence and PCR result - I've given up as neither went through - will present them at airport. Did manage to change my seats though!

Do not use!!!!

No customer service. Lack of responsiveness. Terms and conditions are inaccurate and do not reflect their processes, this puts them at breach of their contract - but they don’t care. They don’t even deserve 1 star.

No point writing a useful review as they will ignore it and not respond.

Avoid - result not delivered and no refund!

Terrible service - avoid! Results for my partner's mother not provided and no response to multiple help-desk requests. They are now stating that test result email must have gone into spam folder (it hasn't) and will not refund despite no test result having been provided. Breach of contract claim next....

Further to your reply, DPD did not even attempt to deliver the package as per our complaint to you direct. This is why we tried to contact you to ensure the delivery the following day but were unable to due to you not answering the phones. The reply we got from you was to say the delivery was within your time frames. As my wife was flying a day later it was too late to submit this package which is why we paid for a 3 hour test to ensure she caught the plane. Your reply to us re the refund stated ''Therefore, on the above basis, we would be unable to issue a refund, I'm afraid. For anything else please do not hesitate to contact us.'' On this basis I disposed of the package in a safe manner. Now you tell me I could have got a refund. Why did you not say this in the original reply.

I can see that your parcel was handed over to DPD on the same day that you placed your order inline with our policy and according to the DPD tracking information, they attempted to deliver your parcel on the Wednesday but noone was in to receive the parcel so they then reattempted delivery to you on the thursday. I am sorry that you feel DPD's delivery time was too late. If you did not use your test and chose to take a test at the airport instead, you can return it to us for a partial refund as per the information on our website.

Thank you for your feedback, I can see that you contacted us at 00:19 to ask about your results and you were advised that they had been completed and sent to you at 22:10 on 27th Jan, which is inline with the same day testing aim.

You contacted us again at 06:41, to advise that you still could not see your results that had been sent at 22:10 yesterday, you were replied to within 4 mins and advised to check your junk mail and/or provide an alternative email address, if it not in there and we would resend the certificate for you, you did not respond to that email with an alternative address, so the we would assume you did in fact find your results in your junk folder.

Avoid do not do what they promise.

Required test day prior to flying to USA. Test taken at home and placed on Drop Box at Barnard Castle laboratory to avoid transportation and quicker pickup and testing. The Company states multiple collections and 99% turn around within 24 hours. On day of departure at 12.55pm no test result, could not fly as result not emailed until after 4.00pm
They say results are from time into the lab, not Drop off. Ours must been in Box all day. They do not want to know when complaining. AVOID Assured Screening.
