EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE

I had to have my PCR test for travel, which was needed 48 hours before travel.This site was given to me by my friend so I got the kit by post and delivered the samples by hand in the drop box station.
I had quite a few communications with their customer service for advice who were EXCEPTIONALLY helpful and replied there mails within minutes.As I was travelling the next day I had my result the same day as I submitted my sample.
Can't fault the service at all.
I would recommend them for Covid testing to anyone..
Great service and excellent customer support by Syed and Ben and others.

cancel button disabled and no contact info doesn't mean you can just keep my money.

I have to cancel my appt with AS as travel requirements to the country I am going to have changed. My appt is over a week away so terms say i should be able to cancel. However, there is no option to cancel when you click the link they provide to do this in the confirmation email. it just lets you reschedule. I've sent numerous requests through that stupid robot chat service on their site and not heard back.
I'm within my rights to cancel on the terms i agreed to within paying and yet Assured seem to think that giving people no way to cancel and no contact information means they can just keep my money.
Disgusting.

Update

I contacted the email below and got an immediate response. Please be aware that the email they give on confirmation receipts doesn't work (enquires) and there is no contact email listed on the site either so making this information more readily available could have saved a lot of frustration.

There is no reference number on my test…

There is no reference number on my test certificate so I cannot upload the result onto my NHS app. Also the link to asking questions does not work.

Efficient service as promised

We got exactly what we paid for with good customer service and updates throughout. I booked pcr tests with results by midnight the next day for travel to a country requiring a pcr test 48 hours before arrival. We took the tests at the Newark office. We took the tests at 19:45. The first email update arrived at 2am (6 hours after test was taken) which informed us that our tests had arrived at the lab. The second update arrived at 14:40 the following day to let us know the sample was in the lab for testing and we received our test results at 7pm (5 hours ahead of the promised time frame).

Really happy with the service

Really happy with the service. PCR fit to fly tests arrived on time and we were given a 1 hour delivery window on the day which was really helpful. Registering was straightforward. I dropped our tests off at their Leeds test centre - staff there were really helpful. Was kept uptodate throughout the testing process and we received the certificate by email well before the time we expected it.

Some difficulties but a positive response from customer services

We booked 4x PCR tests prior to travel back to Australia. We used the clinic in Edinburgh. At the time of booking tests were required 72 hours before departure. We booked next day test results costing Just over £300.
However, 14 hours after booking UAE changed their requirements and we needed our test 48 hours before arrival.
As we were within 48 hours of our test booking we were unable to change our booking. The chatbot was useless and just said we couldnt cancel our booking. It was impossible to speak to any one by phone and the email address had an automatic response to say it wasn't monitored. All we wanted to do was move our appointment by 24 hours.
We were left with no option but to rebook and pay the £300+ again. (We will try and claim this on our travel insurance.)
I accept that this is part of the terms and conditions, and it was made clear at the time of booking. However, it seems very inflexible when the change was forced upon us. Even the woman at the test centre expressed surprise (she recognised our name from the appointments the day before)

That said, the testing process was very good. Appointment on time. Clear information on booking and attending. The trsting process was simple and clearly explained.

we received results as promised. It was also reassuring to receive email alerts that sample had been received in the lab, was being processed etc.

Results were received within promised time frame and report provided all the required information for our flight.

I would use this company again (and hope travel requirements didn't change at short notice) Much better than the testngo postal service which we used for our arrival in UK.

Update Jan 25th
After posting this review, I'm pleased to report that assured screening have refunded the cost of our unused test and appointments.

Thank you Assured Screening. I've changed my rating from 3* to 4* (I can't give it 5* as we couldn't contact anyone at the time we had our difficulties) but we are thrilled that you have refunded our money.

We will use your company again and would recommend you to others.

You are correct in saying the email address you used to contact us, this box is unmonitored, but does advise of how to contact us either via chat bot or via our info@assuredscreening.com email address.

As I do not have any of your specific details, I am unable to find you on the system to look into this for you. If you could email through to the email address above and mark it for my attention, with the email address and name you used when you booked your appointments I can look into this for you.

I will also speak with the testing centre, as if they had come through to us when you attended the appointment, we could have sorted that out for you straight away.

Delayed results and no refund.

Use at your own peril!
Parent paid for a next day COVID PCR test for next day at 2pm results as part of predeparture test. No results by 2pm next day, instead an email saying they had to retest the sample and results back in another 24hours. Even though they have the time and date of the flight departure.
Had to do a same day PCR with another supplier that came back negative, which parent used to fly
Sent in a complaint and request for a refund immediately and none given.

They sent their results 48hrs afterwards which was positive. This is in light of negative lateral flow tests and no symptoms.
-Delayed results, that did not meet predeparture timing
-No refund
-False positive result?

PS - For those who want a PCR, and have to upload for flights or countries portal, they have no contact number as requested by some countries.

We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed in the service that your family members received. Unfortunately retests can happen for some samples, it is a rare occurence but it can happen. We do list our turnaround times as being an aim not a guarantee, as sometimes final results may not be received for reasons such as a retest. I am sorry that you are not happy with the retest outcome, but to ensure a correct and clear result was provided, a retest of the samples was necessary. You have also listed that the final result was positive, we are sorry to hear of this but please be assured that we do not provide false results. We cannot provide a false positive, your parent may not have shown any symptoms but people can be asymptomatic and still have the virus; it is also possible for them to have a negative lateral flow test but a positive PCR. This is due to PCR tests being more sensitive and therefore more likely to detect the virus even if it is present in low levels.
We do state on our website that we are web based only for contact and that our results certificate is provided virtually via email to customers, I am sorry if you feel this is not clear or sufficient

Absolutely disgusting. Avoid.

Absolute cowboys. Test results not delivered until 13 hours after expected date, resulting in me missing flight. "24/7" customer service did not respond to messages for 10+ hours. Complaints department is laughable. Information provided on COVID certificate was false. Should not be in business.

Good experience, would use again

After reading recent reviews, we were a bit worried about the reliability of Assured. However, everything went very smoothly.

We had a PCR at home and we used an Assured drop box and had our results midday the following day. We also received email updates at each stage of the journey which kept us at ease. Would use again.

Royal Mail has been having a ton of issues post holidays so if you use the drop boxes you won’t be in for any surprises.

A great service

A great service. The drop off box at Barnard Castle was ideal for us as we had a 48 hour turnaround to get results for flying. The kit was easy to use, the instructions were very clear and the results were within 24 hours of drop off. Impressed. Thanks.

Great company

Great company, professional staff and smooth process as long as you read what’s required etc. turn around time is stated as an ‘aim’ however mine have always been well within the time frame they aim for. I see lots of complaints on here regarding change of government rules etc (can’t be helped by this company) and delays in postal testing.(also can’t be helped by the company) Going in the test centre there are no issues and there’s staff to help and answer queries.

AVOID THIS COMPANY

Departure test Government changed the travel rules they refused to give us a refund. They don't contact you back when you contact them. dispute continues with my credit card they don't refund you.
Used them for a day 2 test had to chase results as didn't come back in allocated time. AVOID THIS COMPANY

I've used Assured Screening 3 times for…

I've used Assured Screening 3 times for Day 2 arrival testing - twice using the Royal Mail service and once using the drop box. I have always had results in a reasonable time (e.g. 1-2 days when using post, within 24 hours when using drop box) and have not had any void or inconclusive tests. I will continue to use them for travel-related tests.

Utterly shocking service

Utterly shocking service. I am currently in the middle on contacting EVERY SINGLE Trading Standards agency and Consumer Website to make them aware of this company. We paid extra money to have the results back within 48 hours to allow the whole family to fly out to Austria last week. They never came through on time and we couldn't fly.

They also never emailed us at all with any updates during the course of the testing (that is promised); + The excuses given for the delay changed a few times and one of them just blamed "that a technical error had occured".

We had 3 tests done and when they did eventually arrive (even though they were over 11-12 hours late and utterly useless, they came through at different times so again, utterly useless.

There is NO ONE to speak to for help and their automated service/help line/chat bot is the worst I have ever used.

They are selling services that are not fit for purpose; and it is bordering on theft and they are decieving their customers in the worst possible way.

Appalling

Appalling! I would give this company zero stars if there was an option. They have ruined my first trip away in four years. They advised they would get the result of my travel PCR test by 11.59 the day before flying (essential for a flight to Austria because of their testing time frames). We had taken the tests the day before. Despite having not heard by 10.30 pm we were worried so emailed them to check all was OK. They refused to look into it until after their deadline of 11.59. By 12.05 nothing had arrived. We emailed again and get an auto reply to say they would contact us within an hour via email. This they did at around 12.15 a.m.. To say they had emailed my results hours earlier. (which they had not) and when I told them this they later sent me a result to say I was positive with Covid. I had no symptoms nor had my husband. We then had to self isolate immediately causing us to miss our flights and having to pay for booked accommodation in Austria. I was concerned as we had been self isolating before the trip anyway to be sure all was OK and we had tested at home with negative results to ensure we were Covid free. Later that day (after their positive result) I did 2 types of lateral flow tests at home (one with throat swab and one without). Both were negative. So I booked myself into a PCR test centre the same day to double check which was also completely negative. Apart from loss of a nights sleep this company has caused us so much anxiety and hassle not to mention money loss. Now we are having to try and sort out this mess via our insurance company. Plus we have missed our first trip away in so long after the debacle of Covid. Even the premises they use inside looks temporary and doesn't appear like a professional clinic internally at all. It has a messy kitchenette on display in a very small area alongside the 3 cubicles for staff with the testing cubicles next to that with a couple of screens to shield them. Shocking in what should be a clinical environment. I do not recommend you use them. 1.It is an unprofessional environment in my view. 2. They didn't get tests back to me in their timeframe. 3. They didn't send me an email when they said they had. 4. They wouldn't even investigate when I asked via email. 5. Their testing was completely inaccurate.
