The Maths foundation course was easy to navigate and covered all of the skills required in order to pass. The tutorials were clearly articulated and easy to follow. The customer service was great and very responsive and I would definitely recommend to anyone needing to pass an equivalency exam.

I had a great experience with my 1-to-1 session while preparing for my upcoming maths exam. The tutor was extremely helpful and took the time to explain everything in detail, making sure I fully understood each topic before moving on.

The exam was the main thing - I felt unsure
Combined science for me. I have been flying through the material, including all the topic tests and mocks, getting 70% averages. I sat my exam last Wednesday and haven't got the result yet and I don't feel so confident. The format was slightly different which threw me and some questions, including an experiment, I hadn't come across throughout the course. This was quite distressing as I had worked so hard. Whether it's a pass or a fail, I thought I'd share that, it's quite a big deal. The costumer service is great, very friendly and quick to reply, I loved the way the revision material was delivered.

I sat for the English exam and awaiting my results in a couple of days.
Though I consider myself as a senior with over 23 years teaching math in a government secondary school in Ghana, it appeared to me as a surprise when I was not allowed to use my IPhone 15 Pro Max as my hotspot (internet connection) for my MacBook during the exam.
I somehow panicked a bit on the day of the exam as I had to make alternative arrangement. Despite the initial jitters, I am of the firm conviction that I will pass with high grade nonetheless.
Please allow for the hotspot usage as it will by no means give no one an advantage to cheat whatsoever, especially working within 2 hours 10 minutes.
It must be noted that in the developing world, the tried and tested hotspot is more reliable than the routers.

The restriction on using mobile hotspots is largely in place to ensure a stable and reliable connection throughout the exam. While hotspots can work well in many situations, they can also be less consistent over a longer exam period, which can risk interruptions during the sitting.
We do appreciate your perspective, especially around reliability in different regions, and feedback like this is helpful when we review the guidance we give learners ahead of their exams.
It’s great to hear you were able to continue despite the initial disruption, and we hope you achieve the result you’re aiming for.
English course
The English course and revision material is great and gave me confidence in sitting the exam. The mock tests are extremely close to the real exam and are very helpful in getting properly prepared, despite the AI feedback being more generous than in the actual exam. Overall, I would highly recommend A Star Equivalency to get the GCSE English equivalency.
