Bought a competition ticket. Hoping I win

Why can you trust Paul?
1. He is not trying to sell you anything. Because he has no sponsors but pays for every part with his own money in the shops just like any of us, you can trust his opinion will be genuine.
2. He is always brutally honest. Always says what is good about a certain product, what is not and what could be improved.
3. He has a wealth of knowledge because he has tested a lot of stuff and can compare them.

Every choice I made following his advice was a correct one - right out of the gate!!! No guessing around because he makes that for us!!!

I also love the business model he has. By buying all the components out of his own pocket, he can tell the whole truth about it, whereas the sponsored websites and reviewers might (do) not or might withhold certain shortcomings. You can then win the parts or bike that he thinks are the best ones by buying the tickets to a skills based competition.

Go buy some tickets!

Thank you, Paul, by taking the right path, not the easy one! I am sure you could make a lot more money by choosing the easy one. Thank you for your honesty, being an example, a leader and pushing the industry to #buildbikebetter!

Participated in one of Paul’s drawings, won, and received my prize (Hope parts package) very quickly afterwards! Paul walked me through the process of making sure to find the right parts, even going so far as to check out where I do most of my riding to make sure I did not “Over do it” on my wishlist.

Aston MTB raffles are brilliant, helping bring honest unbiased reviews too the MTB world, & you can win some great prizes. The coms after winning were great. The help from both Paul & James at J-tech were also great helping spec the suspension & guiding me towards the best fit for my riding & bike, All round a fantastic experience. Thanks

Great independent reviews, even if I'm not allways sure about how agressive a bike geo should be. But He has arguments to back-up his thoughts. gess not everyone has the same rinding style :) .
The lottery is to my mind a great way to found the reviews without having to compromise with adverts, with in bonus great prizes for the lucky winners (which I'm part of). Since I came across AstonMTB's reviews, my bike parts purchases have been impacted in a very positif way.

Paul's independent way of reviewing bike products is just awesome! By following his take on bike geometry, you get a deeper technological insight into how a single change of a component or dimension affects or is related to other bike characteristics.
This was the first time I won in his lottery, a reach or angle headset from Works Components. Paul even waited some months to give me the opportunity to choose a coloured reach headset that matches my frame very well as Works Components was just starting to produce other colours others than black at that time!

Happy supporter of the project that Paul has been extremely dedicated towards, trying to give us regular consumers, reviews that are the most "realistic" you can find. He uncovered many brands' low quality product that are just well marketed and his comical unluckiness gave him the possibility to also test customer supports.

Lucky winner in one of his competitions and I can assure you, he's fast, kind and caring for his followers.

AstonMTB is taking a different approach to the traditional bicycle media, and it makes for refreshing and often entertaining reading. I was lucky enough to win one of Paul's competitions and his communication regarding the delivery of the prize was top notch. I will continue to support and follow Paul's approach as and when i can.
