My decision to transfer my ISA to…
My decision to transfer my ISA to another firm I trust has been met with subtle resolution. They keep delaying the transfer for no reason, I'm really tired at the moment. As the battle of paperwork and negotiations ensued, (ELIT eEc heL on)'s professionalism and unwavering support became evident. Despite the obstacles, they stood by me, offering guidance and reassurance every step of the way. I'm confident that the journey will lead to a brighter fiscal future.
Beware.
I like many have lost money with Astute Capital, but please beware of Trievals.com who pretend to be able to get your money back, they are a con, probably based in Africa.
Scam. All affected should join and pursue
This is a typical situation where people are conned out of money by people who know the law. I am at a point where I assume my money is lost. But I am very interested in pursuing those responsible. I wonder if the journalist who pursued Tim Schools would be interested in this story.
ASTUTE CAPITAL
I like all reviewers on trust pilot have been scammed out of our investments..No communication from them since they converted bonds to worthless shares...We currently have a WhatsApp group that is collating all relevant information relating to Astute Capital... this is more than just bad mismanagement, it's criminal.. they are now operating under a different name.."Assetstone"... do not invest with them... for any investor who would like to pursue this further please search FB for group.
The Mystery of Astute Capital plc investments continues
I, like many other investors on this thread, have been left in the dark about our investments with Astute Capital plc. There is no information on their website and the last update in September 2023 mentioned the value of shares going down. A recent e-mail from JBrearly who held the original bond in an ISA stated that the ISA status has been removed and a valuation of the shares held will occur at the end of the month. I'm not holding my breath; it has already lost 25% of its value. I have sent an e-mail to Astute Capital requesting an update.
I would appreciate of somebody with legal expertise could post whether there is any course of action that shareholders can take regarding the manner in which shareholders have been treated?
There has been a complete lack of information and we appear to have been locked into this investment in perpetuity!

I also recently received email from James Brearley advising that shares now to be transferred to registrar don't know what to do as whole savings from me and wife seems to be disappearing slowly slowly. No contact , no response to emails. This is a scandal which Astute need to address immediately. Please please advise how to bring them to justice and get our money back. Grateful for any advice

Would not give one star if option available. Recently received email from James Brearley advising that shares now to be re registered into my name but as shares have not been listed on stock exchange they appear to be worthless. This is a scandal which Astute need to address immediately. As a PLC they are ignoring their responsibilities to investors. Grateful for any advice??
Sad Situation
Still no return on investment. still no communication. still scamming other people through Assetstone Ltd. The Astute team need to be prosecuted and bought to justice. more and more people are coming forward as victims yet nothing gets done and our posts are taken down. Shame shame shame.
Astute scam - getting a refund
Hi
Seems like I’m the subject of ‘the Astute scam like many of you’. The website now only offers a contact email and I see no option for how to claim back against the shares. Would welcome anyone’s advice, who has been successful getting their money back, on how to do this
If there a no stars option I would have…
If there a no stars option I would have selected it! Astute are utter garbage. 10.5 of my hard earned money invested in Bond that I was going to pay my daughters Uni accommodation has (when it was time to cash out) been converted into shares. I was told by their asviser that this is the only way forward for the company and our investment will be worth double once the company floats on the stock market later in the year. The floatation date kept changing on the Website, the last one saying the end of the year.. they haven't even bothered to update that now.
You can't talk to anyone, they don't reply to your emails, something dodgy is going on. The Directors need to stop hiding and provide answers. All my savings are locked in a company that is treating investors with disdain and disrespect. This nonsense needs to stop.
What a rubbish firm
This must be one of the worst investment firms that is still in business. Where's the money, in what is it invested, no one knows. Where's the staff and the one to one contact I had, why no updates, why no responses to emails. Its a shambles. The director's are only ghosts in a sea of sharks. Conned by a weighted vote to transfer bonds to equity without choice on some pretext they'll float on the stock exchange one day sometime in the never distant future. A non existent hardship fund and nothing but pure crap neatly tied up in a jargon ridden update worth nothing.
I have invested lot f money
I have invested lot f money, no one is answering anything, they have removed all the admin staff.
You cannot get them to answer anything,
I have written to the CEO,still no response
I would call Astute Capital as…
I would call Astute Capital as professional scammers. They conned me to invest in their 3 year fixed ISA bond supposed to mature in 2022, Unfortunately, before maturity, they informed me that they were
transferring the investment into stock and shares against my objections .Up till now i don't know what has happened to my money ( £ 20000 )
Meanwhile, i have been getting e-mail from James Brearly as for payment for online services which i refuse to pay now. I think this company has to be investigated.
What can be done to get money back from Astute
Like virtually everyone else who has commented I invested in a 3 year bond --when it matured it was converted to shares --it appears that those shares are now worthless ? Anybody have ideas on how to get Astute to tell us what they are doing or get authorities to black list them or prosecute ?
I would give a zero if I could
I would give a zero if I could. I dont know how the directors of this company sleep at night. We have all been robbed of our hard earned money. Email after email sent to them but they just respond with a generic waffling email. I simply want my money back. Astute Capital hang your heads in shame!!
Don't trust Astute Capital
I reluctantly give 1 star because I can't write a review without one. I am an 83 year-old widow and some years ago invested in a 3 year ISA with Astute. I understood my ISA was still with J Brearley after the court case. I recently discovered it's in the 'process' of being converted into stock market shares which I would never have agreed to. There is no line of communication with them they don't even answer letters. I really can't afford to lose all my savings . Does anyone have ideas of how to get my money back (legally). I never thought my money could be moved from one company to another without my knowledge or consent.
Worthy of an investigation rather than a star!
I absolutely mirror all other one star reviews, experiencing the same unprofessional treatment and financial losses.
I truly believe that those reviewers (not planted), who left 5 star reviews from 2021 onwards; who still have investments within Astute… - would and should update their reviews now, with their current position.
I fear we should see a far more truthful landscape.
I echo a previous review, which encourages those affected to join the fb group.
