Another great trip with Lisa and Diogo! Loved how much of Guatemala we were able to see in two weeks and it was such a great mix of adventure and relaxing. I recommend ATAW to anyone who wants to see Latin America.

Words couldn’t even describe how much of an impression this trip left on me. I’m so so grateful to these two for creating the best experience I could ever ask for! Each day brought an exciting and unreal activity it honestly felt like a dream the entire time. I’m so excited to see them again on my next adventures mwahaha Also beware of diogos superhuman abilities it’s scary. I’ve never seen somebody hike a volcano so quickly 😟 love you guys!! Love love love this company! Lisa and Diogo are so down to Earth and spunky. I will definitely be booking more through this company. All of the accommodations we stayed in were great! I never once felt unsafe on this trip. My heart is full from this experience!

This was my second trip with Lisa and Diogo, the lovely faces behind ATAW, and it was just as incredible as the first! The Guatemala trip was truly an unforgettable adventure, filled with breathtaking landscapes, vibrant culture and rich history.
I loved exploring the many stunning waterfalls, sampling traditional dishes like Pepián and watching the sunrise over the ruins of an ancient Mayan city. And, of course, hiking Acatenango to watch the eruptions of Fuego Volcano is an experience I will never forget! Thanks for another trip of a lifetime!

Peru was a wonderful trip with a fantastic group. For me, it was the first time alone and across the Atlantic. Lisa and Diogo always did everything they could for everyone, which they proved right from the start by helping me with my late arriving backpack.
Everything was so well planned and arranged by them. Because Lisa and Diogo know the locals and the country well, they show you things you would never discover otherwise. So we got the chance to meet thé locals in an authentic and personal way. And they know the best locations, restaurants, photo spots etc. Although they organised the trip, it never felt like a formal guiding. It was as if they were just part of our group.
If you are reading this and have any doubts, just do it! It's better than you expect!

Loved every second of the trip to Peru!
Everything was so well planned and Lisa and Diego did everything they could for everyone to have the best time. They knew everyone we met which made every meeting with local people so natural. 10/10!

This was the trip of a lifetime! The itinerary is so well thought trough, and it really felt like we got the most authentic experience possible of the country and culture. Lisa and Diogo definitely knew their way around every place we were, and they went out of their way to make sure we all had the best time!

The only thing I didn’t enjoy about this trip was leaving!! It is so well planned out that all you have to do is show up. You get to experience things that I didn’t know you could do in Peru and probably wouldn’t have found if I’d gone by myself. It is a group tour but it doesn’t feel it, Lisa and Diogo are so easy going and are down for you to go explore on your own if you wish.

I had booked the Adventurous Peru trip on a whim, not knowing really what to expect besides the itinerary. This turned out to be one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had - from all the activities that were planned (and unplanned) to the people that I got to spend this trip with. Diogo and Lisa were helpful right from the beginning, way before we’d met in person, answering all my questions about the trip and providing me with recommendations about expanding my travels in South America, post-group trip. I enjoyed this so much that I’m planning on doing every other trip that Diogo and Lisa host!!! If you want to experience South America, or just want to have an unforgettable travel experience, I’d 100% recommend booking your next trip through ATAW.

PERU IS SO COOL! This was my second trip with ATAW! I had no idea there was so much to see in Peru and I’m so happy I went. They are amazing and everything is planned so well that I say you can basically turn your brain off and follow the leader. Diogo was our guide and he can get along with just about anyone and will make sure you have a good time. He gives great recommendations for places to eat even though he is the pickiest eater!! The altitude is definitely no joke but everything was worth it! 10/10 if you like adventure🫶🏻🫶🏻 can’t wait to see them again in 2026

Trip to Colombia
I had such a great trip and got to experience and do stuff I never thought I would do.
We did so much fun things in these 15 days and I really had a blast.
It was everything from staying in the jungle, cacao farms, hiking in the jungle for several days in beautiful nature, the beautiful city of Cartagena and lastly some great days at the beach and the opportunity to scuba dive.
Such a great trip with so many great things planned so it was just for us to lean back and enjoy the ride.
I’ve met so many amazing people on this trip and this definitely a trip that I will never forget

From the first moment I met Lisa I knew we would be great friends, little did I know that in 3 months time I’d be travelling Peru with her and Diego on the most amazing trip. Hands down one of the best impulsive decisions I ever made, from start to finish I was filled with laughter, great food and insane experiences made all the better by mum and dads superior cultural insight and top tier organisational skills. These trips are more than just “a tour” and I would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat - no bum massages though.

where do I even start?! The most amazing two weeks run by the most amazing couple! Diogo and Lisa are such phenomenal, kind hearted people who have put together a true experience of a lifetime. From insane experiences like sleeping in a desert under the stars to the little things like taking us to the best restaurants (and never saying no to sushi) is what made this trip so incredible. Forever grateful to have had this time with such amazing people exploring such a gorgeous part of the world :)

Mind-blowing hospitality and local planning, such a great and memorable time with lovely people. Not once on the trip did I feel like I was not in the best hands. Always safe, always reliable, and always doing the best activities the right ways! I couldn’t have done Peru any better myself even with an unlimited budget, and I don’t think I will do the rest of South America without Ataw.

My trip to Peru with ATAW was one of the best experiences i’ve ever had. The itinerary was perfectly planned out to experience the best Peru has to offer, including many local experiences that you wouldn’t find elsewhere. Diogo is an amazing guide that is super knowledgeable in peruvian culture, making this trip surpass my already high expectations! An unforgettable experience from beginning to end! My now fiancé(!) and I took a risk and decided to take a group trip to Peru. The organization of the whole trip was amazing. It was more than I could have ever dreamed of. Lisa and Diogo take you to all the iconic spots, but also take you along the beaten path to see things you definitely would not normally find traveling to Peru your first time. I will never forget the views, the experience, and endless laughter. This trip set the bar so high for future travel. Lisa and Diogo are thoughtful, accommodating, organized, and most importantly they are experienced travelers. When things don’t go as they expect, they quickly regroup and get back on track. I already miss them and I miss Peru!!! I am definitely planning to take another trip with Ataw Travels!
