What a horrible bank. They told me they're "in line" with the government's views on lgbt.. they won't show new transactions in your account on weekends. But they'll damn sure charge you monthly fees 5... See more

Terrible customer service and wait…
Terrible customer service and excessive wait times. Today I had enough and opened up an account at a different bank. I know CIBC was bad but ATB is even worse. There was 3 of us waiting for an agent and we all left after 30 min. There was 5 agents and only 2 helping customers. Good riddance ATB
Yes run,run,run
It’s true that people write, run away from this bank for 4 months, they won’t give me my money, I even closed the account in their bank, they transferred my money to another bank, but they blocked my access everywhere so that I couldn’t open an account anywhere else, they put a block on me, and another bank can’t even open a debit account for me because there is a block, my people were left without pay, I myself was without money, it was my only account, no master cards at all, they opened them for me for 3 months and never opened them, they fed me with promises, cards ATB Bank worked once a week, I argued with them every day, they promised everything and did nothing, they set up an online bank for me for 3 months, nothing worked, they called and made a complaint against them. run.
I deposited an ATB cheque and was…
I deposited an ATB cheque and was charged a cheque return fee of $7. Called multiple times with 3 hours hold on the phone for a possible fee reimbursement after being a loyal customer for many years. ATB declined my request and pointed finger at me instead. I turned around and discussed my options with TD. TD paid all the chages ATB debited from my account including the cost of new cheque orders within a day. Will not recommend ATB to anyone.

This bank is a consistent problem. Refuse to help. and all around terrible. No branches ouitside of alberta and no one to help ever. Minimum wait time is 30-40 mis every time. do not use the atb
RUN!
My god, please don't do this to yourself. We made the mistake of doing an application for an ABT credit card to help do a payment plan for a new desktop. The process itself is awful but that's not why I'm writing this. Im writing this because they IMMEDIATELY linked my card to some random phone number. I literally didn't even use it saw on the site I could have a code sent to a phone linked with it and the phone number was not mine I have nooo idea whose that was and I cannot fathom how that happened. I know for a fact I did not put in that number none of the numbers where the same and i looked all over for anything with those numbers to understand if/how i could have put in a completely different number. It wasn't me which is the shaddiest thing I've ever seen, i called the number in the box that says "call this number if your phone number does not appear above" they guy who answered had no idea what i was on about and just told me i had to call ABT bank who gave me other numbers to call that lead me to a robot voice i couldn't get past for over an hour. I was actually afraid this was an elaborate scam and it led to a dead-end generic robot but by the grace of god I managed to get connected and get that card cancelled. I'm not accusing anyone of anything but that was the most unprofessional shaddiest online experiences I've ever had.
Have death pledge with atb it was for…
Have death pledge with atb it was for less then 60.000 I still owe 49.000 9 years later all documents don't match on the first 5 year term I signed for 5.39 8 years later I get a document I never seen before for 7.75 or 7.73
Putting in a claim had over 5 meeting with managers over the last two years and nothing but they show the documents are fraud with there own paperwork then they trick me on the new term in 2020 from a fixed rate to a valuable over the phone I stated only if you can promise it will stay that rate
Ooo don't worrie it won't the lady said on the phone I said I need a guaranteed they changed me now the amount I've payed in the last two to amost 3 Year went to daily compound interest and I told them I don't care anymore and stoped paying into there fraud claim documents will be handed to atb Friday morning enough is enough
People I have interacted with have been…
People I have interacted with have been fine.
This morning I couldn't log into online banking. I can only get help during business hours (same hours I have to work). The automated phone system sucks. Then I listen to terrible music for 5 minutes on hold, then it tells me that my estimated wait time is over 30 minutes. On their website it says "Albertans working around the clock". What a crock.
atb wqant to screw clients with NSF chages
paypal keeps trying get a payment that did not go through and gives me a 300$ bill in NSF charges for a fifty dollar mistake-do not open an account here
This bank blows
ATB should add the letter G in their name so they can be ATBG or Alberta Treasury Blows Goats.

ATB mortgage is terrible. Poor customer service and no recourse
ATB mortgage is terrible. We switched from monthly to bi weekly payments. We were told it would be done immediately despite stating that we were wanting the first payment in 2 weeks as we we’re paying monthly before.
They took to payment for the bi weekly payment out 2 days later. We then got a call at the end of the month telling us that we were in arrears, we explained what happened and thought that everything was fine.less than a week later, they took out the monthly payment as well. When we called them, they refused to give us back our money. (We asked for the difference between the full monthly fee and the Bi weekly payment) and they refused and told us that they would sort it out and if there is a refund they will give it to us in 2-3 weeks. In the meantime they will take another payment a week from now. If it is that difficult to switch payment frequency then do not say that you can. Thanks ATB for being inconsiderate, you aren’t the only place we needed to pay bills to! Would recommend staying far, far away from this bank
Atb financial is a terrible bank
I was in transit at miami international airport . Landed just before midnight, and my next flight wasn't till 5am. The lounges where closed and only subway and dunkin donuts were open. I went to subway to get a bowl, tipped the woman, found it odd that she had to call over a young guy to run my payment.
But got my bowl and sat there to eat. ( Kind of untidy and filthy tbh).
Finished my food and decided to walk to dunkin which was further. When I got to dunkin donuts my card wouldn't work. I thought for sure that it was the self-serve machine since I new that I had just transferred some money into that account and knew there was no way it was my card that had an issue.
But after trying the self serve machine again because the machine at the till was down according to the people that had tried to pay ahead of me.
I logged into my online account again and it was negative, and I couldn't believe it. In addition to that there where two purchases at pandora totalling almost 300 dollars right after my subway purchase. I didn't know what pandora was, don't by jewelry for anyone, in fact I have I have never actually bought jewelry before besides an engagement ring and a once of a vendor in a third world country. Something called (larimer).
I immediately, called the number on the back of my card. My so called " bank" Atb financial. I was on hold while walking back towards the area I had seen a couple of police officers on the way back to the check-in counter.
I saw a officer, so I started frantically explaining what was happening and where I think it had been done.
He said to wait at that spot, and 5 other officers showed up. At the same time the customer service person at "My so called bank" atb financial answered after being on hold.
I was on my head set, so I said to her that the police were there because I called them to report it. SHE HEARD EVERYTHING SINGLE PART OF MY CONVERSATION WITH THE POLICE. WHICH WAS TO DO WHAT I was already doing.
I was advised to call my bank immediately, I informed them that my " bank" was who I have on the line. They said ok, that's good, they will help you better the cops said and they left.
I said hello to the lady again and she said she heard my conversation with the cops.
She canceled the card, and I even asked her how to transfer money to the load and go card I had with me. She told me it was better to do it myself because it wouldn't count as a transaction or something like that. And that she said the fraud section would be emailing me in a couple of days, to fill out a form and they might also call me.
I said no problem and thanked her.
I got home on the 1st late, on the 3rd I believe, I went to the branch at chinook to get a new card, asked about the forms and what was supposed to have been done.
There was hardly any record of it.
I called 3 times, spent time on hold, nothing. Went back to the branch, the telker said she was emailing someone and she would get back to me the same day. Nothing. On the 18th I went in again and a lady who said she is the business manager, said she was sorry and would look into it.
That it was unacceptable that they had dropped the ball blah blah. I still wasn't irritated, angry or rude.
I got a voice-mail from her on the 19th of June, and I called her back within an hr of her Msg, but I didn't hear back from her.
Went into the branch again on the 21st of june because their atms where down, it's located in a mall where I went for chiro.
I asked for her, and was told to sit and wait which I did.
She came out, asked me to her office.
Told me that atb would not be refunding my money because they believed I was either lying or gave my chip and pin to someone to make the purchases.
I couldn't believe it, and I haven't felt that bad, deepened, cheated or insulted in a long time.
She even tried to raise an issue that I made a different claim on my other card. And I said that was Amazon charging my card for a closed Amazon account and they didn't contest it and it was resolved in one day.
Then she said that because atb the bank is a business they cannot refund everyone that complains about fraud charges on their card. ( No joke) I said I am not a thief and my money was taken.
She then tried to comment on some personal transactions that had nothing to do with atb, and said she was trying to help "people like me".
It was not only one of the most terrible interactions I have had in a "professional setting" it was one of the most degrading.
I tried to avoid this, even went to the banks 17th ave branch to try and chat with the only "familiar face" that was left in that bank, I asked if she was available, she was "at lunch" and when I returned to do some banking, while sitting with the teller, I saw her sneak out of the bank.
I didn't want any favors, just wanted to ask if I was missing something and if I was being treated fairly.
Atb financial used to be a really good bank, not sure what happened to it in the last few yrs. 4months later nothing.
Inefficient service
Didn't know much about the bank, my first interaction was to ask for a check certification, and their response is "we don't do that anymore" what a joke, and why not? Their only solution for me to get my cheque in is to "open an account with them" and why on earth would I do that, if a service as simple and as efficient as cheque certification they don't do, of course no I wouldn't. And truthfully will try my best not to make any kind of transactions with ATB bank account holders.
Terrible service
Terrible service. ATB took an extra mortgage payment from me which they will pay me back for as I sold my property, but it’s going to take five business days for me to get it back. Of course I’m not getting any interest on it, but they charged me three months interest to payout my mortgage. Always get screwed by the banks. Never dealing with them again.
ATB St. Albert Trail
As a new business customer to ATB, the experience has been nothing short of amazing. Renee and Adrienne at the St. Albert Trail location have been incredibly professional and always get things done in a timely manner. The ongoing support from them has also been great! They are always there to answer any questions or concerns we may have.
ATB is untrustworthy
ATB is untrustworthy. My business and person accounts have been with them for over 20+ years. I had a “fraud” on my account, somehow someone Etransferred over $5000 out of my personal account to a random email address. The story has been changed to me multiples times, first claiming someone hacked and changed my 2 step verification information to an unknown number and that’s how they got access. The next time they claimed it was texted to my phone, trying to shift the blame on me. I’ve gotten proof from my phone provider showing I received nothing on the date they claimed I did. I’ve now opened a complaint with ATB, trying to get in touch with their fraud department because they are saying I’m liable and won’t replace my money. I’ve recently moved all my accounts to RBC, which has been great in comparison. I honestly don’t know how ATB is still running their company with policies like these. I’m very suspicious about how a “hacker” got all my account information and was able to change phone numbers associated with my account. I’m leaning towards it was someone, that I have in mind, within the company who had access to all my information whos also gate keeping me from looking into it any further. He thinks I’ll just take his word and he’s poorly mistaken.
Excellent support
We had an amazing experience from personnel of ATB, processing our loan. Particularly, Maria, Michel and Sam Lucente were very helpful in doing a smooth procedure.
Thanks a lot. I highly recommend ATB
Do not get a mortgage with ATB
Do not get a mortgage with ATB. I’ve never dealt with a bank, or any kind of company so disorganized. Our mortgage was up for renewal, so we switched to them, because they had the best rates, and it’s been a huge mistake. We finally had someone come to our house to sign the paperwork, 1.5 months late, which cost us a lot of money, because of having to have a 6 month open mortgage with our previous bank 9.5%, and then they show up with documents saying we owe $6000 more than what we actually owe. Now we’ve had to reschedule, hoping they come back with the right amount, and having to pay $88 per diem interest still to our previous bank. This is absolutely unacceptable. Save yourself the headache and get your mortgage with another bank
