What a horrible bank. They told me they're "in line" with the government's views on lgbt.. they won't show new transactions in your account on weekends. But they'll damn sure charge you monthly fees 5... See more

ATB Screwed my business over royally
I have been with ATB for my business for about 3 years now and I think I am going to switch to a different bank.
My card expired and they never sent me a new one so I had to go into a branch and request one. Then when I went to change the pin to activate the card the atm kept telling me I entered an invalid pin even though I didn't. Tried to email them for help and never got a response. Then called their customer service line and it tells me the account number I entered was invalid and hung up on me. Then I waited on hold for over 30 minutes so I got frustrated and hung up.
They went from being a powerhouse small…
They went from being a powerhouse small bank in Alberta, to a complete cluster f%$& in a relatively very short time. I used to bank with them with pride. But the introduction of their new online platform was the signal of the end. Chiefly when they try to suggest that my distaste for the new layout was due to me "not liking new things". Really? Service went downhill from there. As a customer of 24 years, its now an embarrassment. I dont honestly know who would be better to bank with at this juncture, but I know that the cost of their mess ups and time spent diagnosing minor issues (I unknowingly overpaid a credit card, and it took 4 calls and a manager to explain to me why the balance looked different, since the new layout is terrible. I could excuse me not knowing, im not familiar, but them?) Then they reorganized their financial reports, the raw data, to month ascending, but day descending. So spreadsheet wise, it completely messes with your outputs when you try to reorganize the list. Why May 1st and June 31 have to be together is beyond me, but aside from the foolish change, and their inability to fix it? I want to increase my spending limit on a card, that i keep low for security reasons, and they wont change it unless i tell them why im spending it on? None of your business. That is NOT a security question, (my pin, my DOB, address, age, mother name etc, those are account verifying questions) that is not you business. And many many more. Tiny issues like this that completely mess with a persons ability to do business on their end has made them just too unreliable as a bank, they demonstrate incompetence at every turn, and its not worth the effort anymore. Done with these guys and wouldnt not suggest anyone use them unless you bleed free time to fix issues yourself.
I have banked with ATB for about 4…
I have banked with ATB for about 4 years always been a fantastic bank to deal with but in the last two years have become just like RBC useless I tried to get in touch with someone from my local branch but was unable to then I was diverted to a call centre spent 40 minutes on hold then got asked if I knew the name of the person I was trying to contact from my local branch I told her no I don’t it’s the person who is doing the business banking I need to contact from my local branch and I was told without a name she couldn’t help me but she was going to send a email to my local branch and get them to contact me that was last week and I still haven’t received a call so I’m looking into business financing elsewhere

ATB will steel your money say it a fraud and not return it to you your money is not safe with this bank
I had been with ATB for more than 6…
I had been with ATB for more than 6 years and my recent issue proved me that I chose the right banking institution. Joana, whom I spoke with on the phone was really helpful and looked after my issue right away. We need more of her to look after their customers at ATB. Thank you Joana, my issue was settled in just 2 days.
Untrustworthy, not client focused, archaic systems
Terrible customer service. Does not take any ownership for fraud issues with credit card. RBC has a fantastic fraud management group, cares for the client, and resolves issues. ATB makes it impossible for the client to receive repayment even though it’s their security and fraud management that’s the issue. Their system is archaic. I’m out $1000. I’ll be closing accounts since they’ve proven they’re untrustworthy. I’m a long term customer who they’ve made a lot of money off of. Their loss.
Only gave them 1 star because I had to…
Only gave them 1 star because I had to in order write this review. ATB really is selfish and make no effort to fix their mistakes but instead put the blame on you. I spoke to 4 different people and 5 different calls, the last 2 times it was a ‘client care specialist’ and each conversation I had there was different information given to me so nothing is consistent and the staff are incompetent. They take your money without any information/ permission and when questioned they blame you. One staff member told me she really had
No clue what she was doing. Please avoid this bank at all costs
Visited the Edmonton Lynnwood branch…
Visited the Edmonton Lynnwood branch Wednesday February 22, 2023 for an urgent business matter. Bobbi the fine young lady was a tremendously helpful resource. Natasha Pringle the manager overheard our conversation and was kind enough to provide the required documentation to bring closure to the matter. I was very impressed by the quality service provided by this ATB branch.
Worse bank ever
Worse bank ever! We have been dealing with Atb Olds branch since 2002 and this doesn't mean anything to them. This is why we deal with the credit union. They care about their clients.
ATB only helps themselves
ATB only helps themselves. Would Never recommend. They make promises and don’t keep them. They tell you they will “fix their mistake immediately” then ignore you and do nothing. This has been an ongoing situation for about 5mths now.

Get a Financial Advisor that will communicate with you and be genuinely interested in you Okay so I was told ATB was a good bank…
Okay so I was told ATB was a good bank for RRSP and actually all banks offer good Portfolio's but it is the experience you have with your advisor that makes the difference and I can honestly say my advisor is non existence, they send generic emails every quarter but never has he ever called to ask how or what my financial situation is or if it needs change to better match my goals...this review is for most Financial Advisors and that is sad but I am posting for ATB so look elsewhere my friend.
BM
ATB is a great bank to deal with.
ATB is a very easy bank to deal with in-person, the ATB app is great for day to day banking with a checking and savings account, it's easy to pay bills in online banking and it's really easy to pay bills and transfer money on the ATB app. ATB has been a good bank to deal with, I've had no issues or problems with ATB
the worst supermarket ever
the worst supermarket ever, can easily add poison in a bottle of shampangue for 20 Ukrainian gryvnas and 1 italian euro
Worst experience
I am not too impressed that I had a meeting scheduled for 10am meeting with an ATB representative, and nobody showed and I have not received any response. I have been having issues with my bank account that needs to be inquired and resolved. I had money that went missing and the bank put it into my account but i had other issues with my account that need solving. I have been trying since Saturday to get a hold of someone at ATB.
The services my fiance and I have received have not been good. My fiancé and I have been told on numerous accounts for me to call the international number in order to speak to someone. Since I am in the UK I am unable to call the international number I have explained this on several occasions and when I ask to make an appointment it was a fuse to book. Then they don’t even show up. I am beyond annoyed with the services I have received.
Awful institute to deal with
Awful institute to deal with. Frankly I don't know where to start. Unless you are conservative white male don't deal with ATB. My employer is brown and his ATB accounts take days to clear when mine takes seconds. I do one tenth the transactions he does. Because of this arrogant racist incompetent it takes up to three days for my pay cheque to clear the ATB hold, it takes my bank seconds. My only other dealing with the ATB is a Green Party account that the head office in Calgary ordered closed with no reason provided. What an absolute joke. I deal with a real bank and I won't even consider the ATB. This is why I instruct other people acting as CFO's to only deal with charter 1 banks and definitely avoid corupt snd polticalized organizations like the ATB. I look forward to assisting my new employer in to a new account regime that only deals with charter banks major investment banks.
ATB streals
Been locked out of account for days now. No one knows anyway to fix. money sitting in account with no way to get it. ITS THEFT ON ATB. Now I believe we get a lawyer involved.
Worst customer service experience ever.
Worst customer service experience. They failed to offer real time support. I wasted over 2 hours trying to get my issue resolved. After spending over 30 minutes on hold, the line got cut off. Then I was able to talk to someone and she got my number to call me back as she could not put me through to the right person as they were having issues with their phone lines. Finally got a call from someone and they she asked me if she could call me back as they were having a system issue at that time. Is this a joke? I would never recommend ATB to anyone. If someone is reading this, please try to avoid this financial institution as this is not my first bad experience with these guys.
There is no room for growth
You will not have any room to grow working in this company. Management offers training programs that don't really train you. Instead, they'll only make you read some manual instead of having actual productive training sessions. Some managers are very incompetent and will blame their mistakes on helpless employees. You won't have any growth or advancement here, so I advise that you find another company to work in.
