Whole experience was awful!

Whole experience was awful!! About a year ago, my partner had picked a ring and wanted to propose on holiday, the store ensured that the ring would be ready in time. A week before our holiday, my partner received a call to say the ring would not be ready in time to take it on holiday! My partner was extremely annoyed, they offered a replica to propose with which was different to the ring he had picked.
My partner expressed his disappointment as the store said it would take another 4-5 weeks. When they finally said the ring was ready we went to the store which we had booked an appointment. When arriving which took us a 2 hour drive, there was no one at the store and no one was picking up on the number that was left on the door. At this time I was also 3 months pregnant. 30 minutes went by passed the agreed appointment time and no one was there. We had to go into a jewellers next door and ask them for help, they advised that Austen & Blake owned another jewellery store done the road (complete different name) so we had to go there and ask for help, eventually someone came to the Austen and Blake store without apologising.
I was not in a good mood after this and it made the experience unpleasant.
We needed to resize the ring and the woman wasn’t be re helpful with advice or anything, lacked customer service. The lady in the shop advised that the diamond would be set much lower than what the replica was, Adjustments were made and then we had to wait a further couple of weeks for the ring to be shipped to us. Upon receiving the ring, the diamond was set much higher than what she had said and the ring was too big. Myself and my finance were so disappointed and the whole experience was ruined. I was so beyond frustrated over the service and quickly realised that further adjustments would cause another lengthy delay. I removed the tag that was on the ring as there was no information provided not to. I wanted to change the ring to a straight band instead as the ring was curved but the shop had no intention of changing the band.
We ideally wanted to get the wedding band from the same shop but the customer service and all the mistakes had completely put us off. The company could have AT LEAST changed the band to a straight band for all the mistakes and back and forth and ruining the proposal and engagement causing it a very stressful time (of course we would have paid any difference for a straight band) but this was not offered to us and neither a resolution so we will have to go elsewhere to change it to a straight band as the company offered no help.

Great Experience

This was the first place I went to view engagement rings in person and wasn’t expecting to find my perfect ring so easily.

Was a lovely and relaxing experience. I thought I would feel overwhelmed and pressured when trying to find a ring and this was not the case.

I have such a tight timeframe as to when I needed the ring for, and they’re making sure this happens.

Thanks Emanuel- can’t wait to come and collect my ring!

Made a second visit not realising that you need to book an appt over the weekend because of how busy it can get. However Everado was very accommodating and sorted our order as smooth as possible.

A special visit for our wedding rings

Should've looked here first...

I spent a day wandering round Birmingham's jewellery quarter looking for an engagement ring, finding nothing I liked but feeling quite awkward saying "no" to salespeople. Then saw some beautiful things on Austen & Blake's Instagram, popped in next day, and had the best experience imaginable - beautiful jewellery, friendly (not pushy) staff, and the purchase of a ring that seems to have been the talk of everyone we know ever since.
