The choice of laptops was wide enabling me to select precisely the configuration and power I required. Placing the order was simple and delivery followed shortly afterwards, requiring the reassuring signature on receipt. Tip top condition - all configured and ready to rock & roll.

Overall, it was good. Grade A item but battery is below 80%, so not great this time. CS is polite and helpful as I needed a correct charger to be sent to me, as the included one initially was underspec'd.

I needed a number of key hardware items, and to ensure compatibility with my systems specs and Operating System. They where very polite, knowledgeable and actually assisted after I brought the gear and assisted in my trouble shooting. The after care was free.
I also directly saw them gift a used (refurbished) laptop charger to a school student who didnt have the money for a new one.
I will use these guys first in all my hardware and software needs.

Extremely Disappointed – Poor Quality Products & Unresolved Refund
I have been working in the IT industry in Australia for nearly 14 years and have dealt with numerous suppliers over the years. Unfortunately, I must say that my experience with ACT has been the worst.
I ordered five laptops through eBay (5-March-2025) for one of my clients, and the listing clearly stated that the systems were in "very good -Refurbished ". To ensure quality, I even sent a message to the seller requesting good-grade systems, as they were intended for professional use.
The laptops arrived late, and upon inspection, they were in poor condition, clearly showing signs of wear and tear, and in my professional opinion, were closer to third-grade quality. This was entirely unacceptable given the description and my explicit request.
It has now been almost two months, and despite ongoing communication with both ACT and eBay, I have yet to receive a refund.
This is the recent message from ebay:
"I can see that the return item is already delivered to the sellers address, but the refund is still not processed. Let me fix this for you."
"I’m delighted to share that a decision has been decided on the case siding in your favor and grant you a full refund including original postage. This decision was made as the seller failed to process the refund for the order. The refund will be credited to your original payment method within 3 to 5 business days."
From my experience, I strongly advise other professionals and businesses to be cautious when dealing with this supplier, especially if you are expecting reliable and high-quality equipment.

Although my initially chosen laptop was out of stock but not listed as such on the web site, the order was finalised quickly and efficiently via email

After a massive betrayal by REEBELO, I return their product and order from ACT and guess what? ACT did not disappointment me! What a deal! Less then 300 bucks for a nearly spotless thinkpad. Thank you. Awesome.

This is my first and hopefully, last review on this website. My intention is to help potential customers from going through the hell that I just endured. Avoid purchasing anything from Australian Computer Traders. I bought a laptop which 1. They forgot to ship within their official 48 business hours policy (which they admitted to only after several desperate attempts to contact them) 2. Turned out to be completely unusable because it was still attached to the previous laptop owners company (Allianz should know that their assets are being sold to the public) 3. Required several follow up calls and emails from me to get a refund.
This has easily been the worst online purchase experience in my life. To make matters worse, it's extremely hard to get through their customer care number and when they do pick up, you will be lucky to receive help from their support team. They are disinterested at best and outright rude at worst. They also failed miserably to do the one thing that they should be good at: ensuring these second hand laptops are actually wiped clean and usable for their customers. It boggles my mind to think that they couldn't even check if the laptop is still attached to the organisation they bought it from. I wouldn't be surprised if they barely have staff left to do either the technical work or attend to customers. You will be better off getting a second hand laptop from some sketchy person on the street than this so-called company.
Multi Repeat buyer with computers and bits over the last few years
