A very disappointing and expensive experience:

Autoeurope is a middleman that looks for your car at a number of providers. I booked a car online with free mileage. Later I received a ”voucher” for the provider (Europecar), and everything seemed to work as expected. However, the voucher now only included 90(!) km per day in the rent. I have rented many cars, flights, hotels etc. but I have never heard of such a trick, so I did not suspect it and trusted the voucher. This way my only “proof” vanished from my screen the moment I clicked “pay”.

When I turned in my car, Europecar charged me extra almost €400(!) for additional mileage, which tripled the price.

I politely notified Europecar about the obvious misunderstanding. They were familiar with it, but refused to take any responsibility for it, and referred to the voucher that I had received AFTER the online-payment at the middle man (Autoreurope). In other words, Europecar knows that Autoeurope are crooks, but do not mind doing business with them and profiting from it. Furthermore, they did not wish to correct the error or to help me to somehow be refunded fully or partially.

Very easy, good information and good prices

Poor safety at car rental company.
Car rental is blaming Auto Europe and Auto Europe is blaming car rental. Where does that leave the you!

By the time I got to pay, the price had "expired", and a few quid was added to the price. I started again and got the same lower price. Not much difference, but feel like they are trying to trick me into paying more. Ok otherwise...

Edit: Gave one more star due to the fact that company responded sensibly. Still a tiny bit disgruntled...

Don't EVER use this company - IT IS A SCAM
We booked a car for 10 days in Italy and paid for the full rental before we left for holiday. When we arrived in the airport at their chosen car rental company, they refused to let us have the car. They claimed that our Master Card was a debit card, because it stated Credit/debit on the front, we called our bank in Denmark and they told us that it was absolutely rubbish, the only reason for them not to be able to handle the card is due to their old system. How can a company like auto Europe use car rental companies that only handle old systems? Then we tried to get support from Auto Europe, and here the story just get worse 1) the Danish number does not work = scam again, 2) one of their other service employees (don't know where they are located) hung up during our conversation, 3) they didn't try to help us in any way. During the time we spent trying to solve it, 3 other parties had the same problem, so this cannot be the first time Auto Europe hears about this.
After a lot of discussion back and forth we decided that it was not worth it to ruin our holiday due to a scam company without any moral. So we rented a car at Hertz, without any problems with our master card and the service was great.
WE WILL NEVER USE AUTO EUROPE AGAIN, they don't even deserve 1 star here.
