Not fixed 6 months later… incapable

Auto restore have been out to my car 7 times since January and I still don’t have the full rear bumper attached to my car 6 months later. Spoken to other garages who have said the work they’ve done so far is shocking. They tried to double sided tape two parts of my rear bumper together and expected it to hold! Unsure how they are still operating as they clearly have no idea what they are doing.

Autorestore has gone bust

Autorestore has gone bust. Nobody works there anymore. Staff came in on tuesday and wad Told they wasnt getting paid for their hard work only if they claim from the govenment which will take months and their contracts were terminated. Poorly treated

Simply didn't arrive

Supposed to turn up yesterday 160622 to do a fairly simple repair to a wing mirror. They didn't arrive and three of us spent over 2 hours in total dialling various numbers with absolutely no response. Sent emails and submitted on line forms begging for someone to call urgently but still nothing. Absolutely appalling service and communication.
Claim ref is 01003573 should anybody from the company wish to explain what happened.

Couldn’t recommend this company enough

Couldn’t recommend this company enough, did a fantastic job on my car door and such nice man came to do it. They will keep you up to date all the way and the person who attends will call ahead. Very polite and courteous will 100% use again and recommend

Nothing heard from them

I emailed over details including photos to get an estimate but I never heard back, despite sending a chaser email. That didn't bode well so unfortunately I went elsewhere.

Awful people

Awful people, unhelpful and unwilling. Unprofessional. I was asked to give the person collecting my car £100 cash. Really!!!

Useless avoid at all costs

Had my van booked in early March for a replacement rear bumper. I took photographs showing the bumper was white, when the fitter came out the replacement was black. I have asked for the new bumper to be sprayed white so far they have refused. I have been in contact with my insurance company and they said I was perfectly entitled to request for them to spray it white. Autorestore have taken my £200 excess and I never heard anything from them until I made a complaint, still refusing to spray the new bumper useless avoid this company at all costs.

Thank you for your review.

We are BSI regulated and our technicians are ATA qualified. In order to keep those accreditations we have to follow certain processes and provide a warranty on our repairs. What you are asking us to do is outside of those regulations. The bumper supplied for your vehicle by the dealership is not meant to be painted. We have given you a few other options.

We take the excess at the point of booking from all of our customers as our technicians do not have the facilities to do so on the day. If your repair is closed and is not completed, the excess will be refunded to you.

Good technician, poor service from HQ

I was very pleased with the technician that repaired my car. Rear bumper resprayed perfectly and other issues either touched in or polished out rather than resprayed. The technician was very informative about everything and a thoroughly nice person to deal with.

However, my score is reduced because I have been overcharged with little effort by head office to rectify.

Autorestore charge you up front based on photos. I was therefore charged a respray cost that became unnecessary on all panels as the technician stated it was simply not required. I contacted the office a week later to ask about a partial refund. I've been told they are looking into it. Its now been 3 weeks since work was completed. Pretty poor considering the initial cost was over £700.

Absolutely useless, avoid at all costs

Another update!! REF:00995230 I had two appointments cancelled by this company after strong assurances someone would be out to repair my car. I explained i had taken two days off and received nothing but apologies and assurances. They knew my car was being collected on 11th and had to be repaired and was assured they would make tings right. Todays appointment (3rd booking) , well no one had arrived by 11am and I called and when the person said let me transfer you to my manager I knew what was coming.... "Very sorry, the engineer has called in sick" no notification no call to pre warn me once again Im chasing them. The third time and again FAILED. avoid this company at all costs absolutely useless.
