Booked a campervan for a trip from sydney to melbourne,
Lady at the depo could not show us how anthing worked but we trusted it was ok.
drove down to our first camp site - the window fell off, the awning was not working, step lader into the camper was brokern. Toilet was leaking - worst experience ever. We gave them a call and they said to drive down to melbourne and get it fixed?? waisting 3 days of our holiday ws not really in option.. rude and unhelpfull .
The campervan was old with dents in the sides and cracked windscreen. The propane leaked and the stove wouldn't stay lit. No shocks. Ragged curtains and thin cushions. No offer of a discount! Be sure to have your payments documented.
I rent a campervan from more than 5 weeks in Australia. I drove from Cairns to Sydney.
First, the delivery from their partner Camperman was a disaster. Camperman staff had huge knowledge gap. They even didn’t know how to transform the table to a bed or to deploy the external blind.
Then, the campervan itself. I waited 2 weeks before sharing my feedback to Autosleepers because I wanted to be sure that I was doing things right. Unfortunately, low quality experiences kept happening such as:
* Refrigerator and kitchen drawers opening while driving, despite being correctly closed, creating a clear safety hazard.
* Faulty locking system requiring us to block doors with personal items while driving.
* Extremely noisy living-area air conditioning, making it unusable at night.
* Non-functioning gauges for grey water and toilet tanks.
* Intermittent failure of the cabin air conditioning while driving.
* Ineffective solar panel despite full sun exposure over several days.
* Broken side sliding door stopper.
* Water ingress through roof windows during heavy rain.
* Interior rear-view mirror falling off while driving, leaving me without rear visibility.
I shared my feedback via email to Autosleepers on December 17 and I haven’t heard back from them yet.
