Have been trying to get this company to rectify workmanship under their 15 year guarantee but they do not respond, even though the lime render is falling off and cracking after 3 years.

Update: Finally received a response…to say they won’t rectify the work because they’ve seen this review! Issue logged with Guild of Master Craftsmen.

The first thing that struck us about Avant Coatings, compared to other render contractors, was their knowledge of old buildings and the best type of coating solutions available. There was no sales gimmick just sound spot on advice. The second thing which really pleased us was their work ethic. They were extremely thorough and meticulous in their work. As a result, they have transformed the look of our old grey render with a really superb coating which allows the walls to breathe whilst, at the same time, helping to keep them insulated. We cannot thank Karl and Alfie enough and would definitely recommend to others.

Conventionally I would say that my wife and I are delighted with the finished result that the workmen kept the site clean and tidy and the price paid was fair etc. And that is exactly what happened, except there is a back story that lifts this particular job and the work involved to a whole different level.
The pandemic intervened. Avant found a way of continuing under very difficult circumstances 200 miles from their Leeds base, A masterclass in organisation and a can do attitude overcame supply of material difficulties, labour shortages and accommodation problems, completing the contract only a couple of weeks later than originally planned.
The finished work is of the highest quality. The Avant team of Karl, Dan, Jack and Dave were a pleasure to work with and literally went the extra mile. I would highly recommend this company.

Have contacted this company to ask them to quote on three occasions. Two emails and a phone message - no one calls you back. Forget them. Wouldn't like to be a customer trying to get hold of them if there was a problem.

I called Avant Coatings to get a quote for my walls repairing. I spoke to a gentleman who was polite and came across very knowledgeable.

This was the third quote I had from building contractors so when a surveyor came round to inspect my property, I was expecting the hard sell like the other two, but found the complete opposite.

He just let the facts speak for themselves, told me what was the best solution and importantly, warned me about a repair I needed for my roof too (which they unfortunately don't do)!

The roof was repaired first by a friend of mine and then they started work. The chaps who came to renovate my walls were again, professional, hard working and very approachable and quite obviously proud of their work.

In conclusion, they did a sterling job, I absolutely love the transformation and I would recommend Avant Coatings to any of my family and friends.
