Easy car hire - very straightforward from start to finish. Most appreciated as easy to pick up car in Zagreb and drop off in Dubrovnik. Very reasonably priced too with good insurance cover included. We will use Avax Rental Car again next time we’re in Croatia!

I see you disabled to possiblity to answers to your post (I guess this already says enough). So that is why write to your another review. Pedro van Eijk never mentioned that the child seat wasn't fixed. But that was not the problem: he never mentioned that it wasnt fixed and he then drove us around with our child unfixed (without us knowing this). I am 100% sure it is against all policies from any car rental company to let employees drive around customers babies without fixing the child seats? And to make it worse this employee didn't ask consent to the parent.

Do NOT rent your car at Avax Korcula. Pedro van Eijk does not care about your safety (nor of your children). And when your confront him with the situation he will be irrated and will tell you lies and will try to put the blame on you. All in all we don't even want to share the whole story on internet because it was just so horrible. We just want you to advice to NEVER rent a care here. Better just to rent a car in Split and take it across with the boat. Or just take taxis, because the island is small. But please never consider renting your car from avax for your own safety.

It was our first time renting a car from Avax and I can absolutely recommend it to anyone. It was very easy to find the best price/car for our Balkan trip on their website. Everything was very transparent, well explained and every question was answered very quickly.
We booked a Suzuki Swift with the “all in insurance” package and (that’s the difference to a lot of other car rentals) they did not try to sell us more insurances as we picked up the car. Very friendly staff! We really enjoyed our Balkan trip and avax was a big part of it.

Pick up at Zadar was fine although staff were miserable. We asked for a small Suzuki Swift and were given a family sized Vauxhall Safira so this wasn't great, as we wanted a small car with it being our first time driving on the other side of the road. Drop off in Split was horrendous, no details given to explain to drop off you had to go into the car park in the centre of town - run into their office to let them know you are there - run back to car and drive out of car park and meet them just outside the gate. This was ridiculously stressful. Man checking when returning keys tried to say petrol was empty when there was 3 out of 7 bars. Check was over the top looking under the car for defects etc.

The crooks,t they are thieves not refund the value of the rental deposit. and if something happens with the car..get ready... because you will pay twice as much. Avoid this company if you do not want a problem....and yes i had full assurance (premium)

The pick up in Zadar was smooth. The drop off in Pula was a Nightmare. Trying to find a parking spot in the center of the town close to the office was nearly impossible. I would suggest changing the locatition.

The staff were always quick and helpful to respond before I picked up the car.
The staff were very polite and not pushy about additional extras.

We (5 adults) rented a car from Avax for 13 days - the service and staff were lovely when we picked the car up, we had arrived a little earlier than planned and they were very flexible and helpful. The hire included the car green papers and an extra driver - which was a bonus as none of the other bigger car hire names offered this. I highly recommend Avax Rent a Car. Avax staff were super organised and we had no problems with the booking, pickup or drop-off. I've had previous problems with two of the larger companies when hiring cars so was very refreshing and easy.

Had a short trip in Zadar Croatia decided to rent a car when we got there was great service they met us on time the car was great! Very friendly easy pick up and drop off the car! Had no problems with anything they also spoke very good English! Would definitely reccomend to anyone needing a rental car in advance or last minuet!

I booked a day's car rental with Avax in Dubrovnik prior to our visit, so we could drive to Montenegro for the day. The day before our rental I called to arrange drop-off at our hotel, which I was advised would happen between 8.15-8.30. The next day... nothing. No car, no call and no answer when I phoned their number, every 5 minutes from 8.20 until 9.10. Very disrespectful and disappointing way to treat a customer.

The Dubrovnik office is located a short walk (300m) from the terminal, across the road from other rental offices. We were given a very thorough review of the car operation and walk through to document any damage before we took possession. The return in Split was easy, and once again the staff was very pleasant. Currently the Split office is located away from the terminal because of airport construction, but we were given a ride to the terminal door. Highly recommend

Very good experience. Smooth pick up and return of the car (minimal paperwork). Car almost new. Permissions and docs to cross borders ready to use and included in the price. I would do business again with Avax.
