Alot of bad reviews here, my experience was good with Avis. I rented the car for travel to Oman. No issues at all with booking, car delivery on time, great customer service. Pick up on time. Car was nice. All the necessary car documents for Oman travel where taken care of by the company in advance.

Do not use this company
Do not use this company. Told us we could not use the car to travel to Oman from Dubai on the morning of pick up, even though this was paid for and clarified months before. Left us high and dry. Take your buisness elsewhere

Very bad service... if you request for car service due minimum 2 weeks before they will collect your car, after collection they will blame you that your car was overdue on kilometer, worst part is they will replace a dirty car from inside and out and fuel is less than half. Staff are not friendly...

One of the worst rental service provided. Better to use taxi than using avis rent a car.
They do not deliver what they promise
In December 2022 I responded to an ad promoting a one year lease on AUDI cars.
AVIS UAE first said okay for a one-year lease on an AUDI A6, then two weeks later said they cannot honour the deal, and offered a two years lease, that I said I would accept if they could wave the penalty clause. They said they would move forward. It was 11 January 2023, and I've never heard from them anymore.
So, they had me sign a contract, collected tons of documents and sensible data, did not respect the deal, and disappear.
It is unconceivable that these business practices are tolerated.
Prepare to be disappointed!
Do you enjoy the thrill of being provided a car that hasn't been checked over for faults and issues. Ever wanted to pay top dollar rental prices for a car that still has coffee stains and snot rags from the previous customer? Do you feel good customer service is a waste of time? Then Avis is the rental car company for you!
Never have I been so disappointed in myself to assume that such a big name in the rental car market would provide exceptional service across the world. It seems the one in Dubai makes up it's own rules and now I'm locked in for a year long contract with a company that just doesn't care to provide a good service or offer its customers safety and piece of mind.

They have stolen my money
I rented a car whilst in Dubia in August this year. I only had a debit card with me so i had to leave a deposit of 2000 AED. They said that my deposit would be refuned with in 45 days. I am still waiting for my money back. I emailed 3 times and also called on multiple occasions for the UK. I will be in Dubia again in a few weeks so plan to do a video in the Avis office and load to my youtube channel which will put the link on here when its done. Expected better from a car hire company of this size based in Dubia!!! Disgusitng Theives

Booked a car from Expedia, when i was the airport the rate increased 2 times for stupid reasons (with debit card is this cost)!

Bad customer service
Bad customer service. It's been 5 months since I was in dubai. They promised me that refunding y deposit will take 4 weeks. It's been 5 months now, and still no deposit returned. No answer on email, no answer on whatsapp. Worst experience ever. I highly advice you all to stay away from them.
Very very dissatisfied with Avis
Very very dissatisfied with Avis. We chose a car at Dubai Airport on Avis' website for a total price of DKK 1,600 for 8 days, which we paid without problems with a debit mastercard. According to the information, the price included full hull insurance etc. When we then stand down in front of the rental pant, we are told that extra insurance must be paid to a value of approx. 1200 DKK only because we do not have a credit card. This was not mentioned at all when purchasing on the website, nor does it appear in Avis' terms and conditions that you must pay a special extra insurance if you do not have a credit card. We would very much like you to be informed of this before the purchase, especially when you have paid with a debit card. In addition, we had to make a deposit of DKK 3,700 before we could be allowed to rent the car. We then tried to cancel the rental agreement, but we could not, as it had to happen no later than 24 hours before, which is a bit difficult once you get acquainted with it at the rental center. We agree to pay the extra money in insurance and provide security in the form of a deposit of DKK 3,700, as otherwise it will be money out the window. We got good benefit from the car and handed it in in the same condition as we got it handed out. The deposit amount was first reserved in case of defects in the car, which were not found at the time of delivery or later for that matter. Still, Avis has chosen to withdraw the deposit. Now we stand here and need a deposit and feel good and thoroughly cheated. This is the last time we use Avis in any context.

Absolutely the worst experience. Did not have a car as booked and made us wait for 2 hours. Terrible customer service with the agent telling lies. To be avoided at all costs.

Be careful, thoses companies are thieves.
I booked a car with Avis with reservation number AE557578480 for 3 weeks in Dubai.
I paid online with my debit card and of course the payment went through.
When I got there, the Avis agent refused to rent the car for me because I needed a credit card.
The majority of cards in France are debit.
So I couldn't get the car and Cartrawler refuses to refund me 660€.
THEY ARE THIEVES.
I will post negative reviews alldays on all platforms to make them lose money and customers until they find a solution to refund me back.
