Generally Pleases
I'm generally pleased with the standard of the course and the range of grammatical structures that are taught. However, some languages seem to get less love than others. There are no Dutch podcasts, for example, and given the sometimes challenging pronunciation in Dutch that'd be really helpful!

Few years ago I brushed up my French. That reached a quite high level.
Now I learn norwegian. Norwegian course stops somewhere in the middke of A2 level. With other course and teacher I am above that now. That is why I can only repeat Norwegian.
Develop ti hugher level smaller languages! I am waiting.

They never sent a notification of…
They never sent a notification of billing. Billed me for over three years, without me noticing and they knowing we never used the service. Never logging in. We decided the service wasn’t the right level for our kid after a few weeks and I can’t even remember but I guess I thought there would be some communication if/when they billed me.

Excellent tool
Excellent tool, good gradual flow of lessons, good explanations. Includes the grammatical basics that are so important. I like the fact that I can choose how much time a day I want to spend studying.

I bought and 3 month course in Italian…
I bought and 3 month course in Italian on the 16 April 2026. I have not been able to access my account properly for over two days, my account screen is blank. I can't open anything at all this has been a total waste of time and I cant even cancel my subscription because the screen is blank. I feel totally ripped off and just want to cancel my subscription

Lessons are split into reasonable…
Lessons are split into reasonable subject size. However, I think for a person who has never studied another language more overall explanation is needed, on the structure of making the tenses.
One jumps right in with a lot of vocabulary and given the word order is different in sentences, it would be extremely helpful to have each word translated, folowed by how the sentence is translated. Equally, this be done after each sentence is completed, rather than at the end of the page, which quickly zooms oonto the next page. I am forever going back to take in all the sentences and try and identify each word translation.

Meaning studying the English language in the English language itself, and so on in all languages.

Educational but can use a few tweaks
I like the app, some features can use improvement like in the practice setting the "list" you make is always in the same order it would be nice to shuffle that and to mix the type of practice for example a few flashcards followed by a speaking assignment and please fill in this writing assignment and another flashcard. It would be nice to have a suggestion option in the app to (optionally) give feedback on a lesson/practice session after you finished it so the employees of babbel can get feedback directly on that lesson without any hassle.

Great language learning app
Great language learning app. Like an interactive textbook, with clear explanations and exercises. Progress is easy to track as well. This is not the never-ending repetition of other apps.
The B2 French course is very short and should be longer, but for lower levels it is excellent.

Excellent Learning Experience with some…
Excellent Learning Experience with some room for improvement.
Lessons are prepared in a very structured way and very intuitive interface which helps with the learning experience.
Only issue I've found is in the speaking exercises where the app often doesn't accept the correct pronunciation at the first and marks it as mistake even though upon retry with same pronunciation, it is marked ok. But this cycle can become irritating at times and needs to be looked at by developer team.

Good but needs more content
Really enjoy the way the app teaches you a language (I’m learning French) but I was disappointed that it only goes as far as B2 level and there is very minimal content in the B2 lessons.
