Our Story The arrival of a baby is a very special time. And naturally, you want only the best for your little one. But searching for the right products can be overwhelming. There’s so much choice, countless product reviews and endless blogs to wade through, and often conflicting advice. How do you find the safest and highest quality products? Ones that will also suit your individual needs and lifestyle? Babylicious is happy to help. Expert Advice and Guidance Babylicious is on a mission to put the enjoyment back into your nursery shopping experience. We take the stress out of your product search, leaving you free to focus on the exciting times ahead. We offer a personalised customer experience. We listen carefully to your story and suggest the perfect products for you and yours. And with over 30 years’ experience, we have a wealth of product knowledge to offer. Our expert advice and guidance give you the peace of mind that you have made the right choices. A Fabulous and Unique Range As a small independent business, we have the freedom to carefully select our range. We seek out the best for you, visiting local and international trade fairs for fabulous finds. Our range features prams, strollers, car seats, nursery furniture and more, hand-picked from a select number of trusted brands. We also offer products you won’t find in department and chain stores. We have everything you need - from the essentials to little luxuries and perfect gifts. From our Family to Yours We have served generations of families since our store was established in 1988 - some are now second or third generation Babylicious customers. We truly value their custom and recommendations. Babylicious itself is a family business. Our story began when husband and wife, Joan and Anthony opened the original store in Moreton on the Wirral. As the business grew, we moved to larger premises in Hoylake. Sadly, Anthony passed away in November 2012. This was a time of reflection for our family; a time to look back on our many years in business. Our passion for Babylicious and its customers kept us going. A new chapter began when Joan and Anthony’s children, Ian and Sharon, took the helm. Joan, now semi-retired, still spends lots of time at the store. She loves welcoming our customers, having a chat and passing on her invaluable words of wisdom. The Latest and Best Products Keeping up to date with exciting new product developments and current safety standards is vital to the service we offer. Ian is always ahead of the trends. He has a unique eye for new and innovative products and a flair for spotting eye-catching designs (you could say, the boy knows how to shop!). His product knowledge is well-respected in the nursery industry. Ian is the only independent retailer to sit on the Baby Products Association (BPA) committee and helps to judge the BPA’s Concept & Innovation Awards. He is also a member of the judging panel for the prestigious Baby and Nursery Trade Awards (BANTA), where he helps to select the cream of the crop of the year’s products. So, if you’re looking for a fabulous product range, expert knowledge and the care and attention you deserve at this amazing time in your life, please call us or visit our store. We look forward to welcoming you to the Babylicious family! Ian and the Babylicious team x

Awful still haven't received the product I paid for over 1 month later

Bought a bugaboo parasol, said 10-14 days delivery. After 3 weeks I tried to contact them, no answer so left a message to ring me back. No response. Rung again and spoke to somebody who wasn't particular apologetic but rather said actually it meant 10-14 working days, however this was over a month now so that still didn't calculate. Assured me it would be delivered within the following 2 days. Well that was over a week ago now. Tried ringing again, no answer. So I've paid for a product I haven't received. Paid £5 delivery on an item that hasn't been delivered and the first contact they have sent me is asking for feedback on my experience. Would not recommend.

Used once and never again.

Absolutely shocking service. Im not one to srite reviews but my experience with the company has actually given me a reason to, to warn others of how bad they can be.

Ordered an 'instock' item at the end of April, was informed of up to 15days delivery which i was happy with, transaction was easy, fast and money removed from my account within the day. So far so good. Got a login to watch the progress of my order which was nice and low and behold, my order was 'processing'.............and thats was it.

I checked on a weekly basis on my order, week one 'processing'. Week two 'processing'.
Now after the lack of any new information week 3/4, which is mid May i figure (half a month and a bit later), give them a quick email. Simple quick email which i kept a record of, pretty much, 'any idea where my package is'. A week went by, no email.
So went old school, picked up the phone on my lunch break, rang them, no answer, figured maybe they are on their lunch break too. So rang them an hour or so later, still no answer.
Repeated the following day, nothing.

Now ill honest, i got a tad pissed off with the lack of contact and the 'processing' was giving zero information and was very tempted to contact paypal and get them involved as money had been removed and seemed to be for zero reward for it.
Sanity prevailed and i sent a follow up email, alot more detail, thought and a few references to me contacting paypal. To my surprise, a reply. On the 19th of May.
But no apology, no recognition to the delay in replying, answering the phones or any actual conversation or satisfactory information. It was as generic as possible, paragraph one (1 line) saying thank you for my email, grammar errors and repeating itself in strange places reflecting its copy and pasted nature.
Then a second and final two line paragraph stating id have the item by the end of the week. WOOHOO, progress.....
or so i thought.

End of the week, nothing.

So phone calls ensue, my attempts fail, but my partner persists, she finally gets through to some part timer (who wasnt too helpful but any contact is helpful at this point) who enlightened me to how the company goes about some of its business.
Its 'INSTOCK' items, arnt always in stock, they order them from other companies on an as needed basis, this process can take up to two weeks turn around because Babylicious is a middle man for some items, even more if the item is on back order. But to Babylicious this isnt known till Babylicious process my order, take your money and contact the supplier to
make the order (i was told by the lady my item was back order till around the 26th, so to clarify, reply on the 19th, told id get it on the 23rd, but its on back order till the following week).
Then she says, she cant help anymore, there is nothing she can do on a bank holiday, which was fair enough. But my item will be with me soon.
Now i turn detective as i want to confirmed this by making my own enquiries with the maker of my item and a few other retailers of the product, all enquiries led to near identical 'we are sorry, but your item is currently on back order and has been for awhile, we expect it to be available from the 26th, sent out on the 27th with two to three day delivery dependant on when your order, who i order from and what class of delivery taken'.
So every company i contacted, even the maker of the product was open to the fact it was not available and unless it was actually in stock, the possibility of getting one was remote.

So, i wait till after the bank holiday. I finally get a text from a delivery company, package delivery due on the 28th. YAY!!!!
The 28th arrives, another text, 'sorry, your Babylicious package hasnt been received' now down to either Babylicious or the courier, i cant comment. But i made the decision to contact paypal on friday and ask them to get the process of refunding my money. I told Babylicious this is what i would do as it was well over their delivery schedule and also the thought of a company taking my money and simply expecting me to go away and wait with no info as to any issues is again, not a good way to do business.

The day of the 30th, paypal D-day, i get a text, package on route to the delivery address.
5 weeks and finally it arrives.

I know its only a month and a week and frankly, mistakes happen, but to have zero info or any form of contact letting me know the situation before my own persistent attempts at contact is appalling in my eyes, then to send a more than obvious generic copy/paste email lying to me about an item they never even had in stock is not going to make me go away.

I understand that unless you have a large storage area, keeping everything listed in stock isnt possible. I also understand listing items as instock even when they technically arent in YOUR stock, is a good way to generate business but running the risk of running into back orders does facilitate a need to keep customers effected in the loop, NOT to simple ignore them until they get persistant and spoon feed them lies on a copy and paste template.

I do not recommend Babylicious, they will never get back my confidence as a consumer enough for me to use them again and i will not recommend them.
To anyone that does use them, as they do stock (will it says 'instock') items that others do not (my item was 'out of stock' in stores and on every other site i could find, which is why i made my order with Babylicious when i say the 'instock' panel), use PAYPAL as they can help get money back if you get into a situation like me and any emails or communications sent, keep a record of them.

Great products, great service!

Whatever you are looking for baby and children wise, have a look at the babylicious website. They have a great range of products and more importantly, friendly and helpful staff who will do all they can to help. We went to their shop to pick up a wardrobe and were so impressed. Would definitely recommend!!!
