Not Great

Good only as a registry for other to purchase items on. Any other feature is useless. The 15% "discount" just makes the items Amazon price. Overpriced, overhyped, not great for anything but a barebones registry site.

Terrible shipping and customer service

I used Babylist for my registry and it worked out well for that purpose, although I did notice that anything from their shop was ridiculously overpriced. Luckily, it looked like only one of our family members ordered something through the Babylist store itself and unfortunately it was something we had already purchased ourselves, but forgot to take off the registry. We returned the item to Babylist no problem, but we were only able to receive a store credit. So, I ordered a bouncer and a set of Dr. Brown’s nipples. The nipples shipped and arrived on time, but the bouncer has yet to ship and I ordered this on 9/28. Customer service has been less than helpful and say my order should ship in another 2-3 days, when it’s already been 2 weeks since I placed the order. The only thing they have offered is to cancel the order, but there would be no point as I would still only have store credit. So incredibly frustrating.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Some of my friends and family got us presents for our baby and ordered directly on Babylist. Please do not let them make that mistake. The same items that they could’ve ordered on Amazon and receive on the same day, didn’t arrive on time for my baby shower. And there’s no estimated shipping date as every time I check, they continue delayed it while the order shows “processing”….. customer service has no answers, just excuses. Do not use babylist for a baby registry. Amazon is way more practical and quick.

If I could give them less than 1 star I…

If I could give them less than 1 star I would. I ordered a gift for a relative who had registered with them. Wasn't told by babylist that the order was delayed. When it wasn't delivered in a reasonable time I contacted the company -- not easy to do because you can't actually call and talk to anyone -- and was told that there were "warehouse" delays and that because my order had "begun processing" I couldn't cancel it. Instead they offered to "elevate" it and it would ship within 3-4 days. 5 days later I got a message saying there would be further delays and I could cancel it if I wished. So now the gift is weeks delayed. The fact that they call their customer reps "Happiness Heroes" is ridiculous. I was able to find the gift cheaper on Amazon, and they are more reliable. Save yourself and your friends and family the hassle -- if you want to use babylist as a registry, go ahead but tell people NOT to order the gifts from them and to get them from a more reliable source.

Ordered a gift on baby list

Ordered a gift on baby list. The company was skaldo & Marlin. It was a baby bed I sent to a friend for a gift. The order was delivered, but not to them. I have reached out SEVERAL times to a company that advertises 24/7 support 364 days a year!!! They have yet to answer me!!! Horrible customer service!!!

I like that it was easy to send a gift. I did not like that the entire order which was marked as a gift was sent in different shipments so it looked like I was a slacker in the gift giving department which does not sit well with me. I wanted her to be surprised and well stocked at the same time.

No shipping materials, damaged boxes

I thought babylist was great until I got my first damaged order. Apparently if the items ship directly from a manufacturer, they require ZERO shipping materials?
The customer service was helpful and kind, but if I order anywhere else, I get an object inside of a shipping box that is going to keep it safe during travel. Instead with babylist, you get a retail presenting box with a shipping label depending on what is ordered. This is super inconsistent and allows products to be damaged or more prone to easy breakage after being jostled around in the mail with no protection.
I definitely deleted babylist only items off my list after this. I'm not trying to be 7 months pregnant and emailing them after my baby shower to deal with more damaged goods.
Not cool, I'd think the business would want better for their customers.

Do not do business with them

Do not doing business with the disaster of a company. Stupid is too kind. Absolutely ridiculous and literally could not get anything right. From not shipping, to shipping to wrong address, to them not correcting address, to shipping partial order to customer service that is useless.

Dealing with Babylist has been a…

Dealing with Babylist has been a terrible experience. They take zero accountability for any orders placed. I ordered a glider for my niece through baby list, which was an amazon item, and it came in damaged. Amazon will not take it back now saying it's past its window since I ordered it as soon as Babylist put up the list and it was before my niece's shower. Babylist is no help at all, even though it was purchased through their site. I called customer service and one girl told me they couldn't help because it wasn't marked as a gift - which was their error - and another customer service girl said we can't help, you have to call Amazon, which each of us has tried 1000x. Always the run around from everyone. It was the only glider even listed so why not tell people about the return window when the order is placed? I'm under the assumption that if it's on that list then free to order without problems. Isn't this list put together to help future mothers? Especially mothers like my niece who work full time and needed this to be something easy? If they are the intermediary why not help get involved? Why not be clearer when purchasing product? Why not put an alert next to it- this item has a 10 day return window etc.? This has taken so much time from all of us trying to find someone to help and of course no one will. No one cares. So out $300.00 and a glider. I did not find it user friendly at all and they did not even mark the items as gifts as I placed orders and then said because it wasn't marked as a gift they can't help. I also purchased a gift for my mom and myself and they would not let me put a message with each gift, only one. They did help with that but it took significant time going back and forth to help with something so simple. I would never use this site again when ordering for future baby showers or for my daughters. I will not leave anything in their control.

Decent tracker and awesome baby box!

I really enjoy the pregnancy tracker with pictures of real pregnant bellies and little snippets of common symptoms and how some people handle them. Having a registry that can link to basically all the other online stores was great too! Completing the registry to qualify for the hello baby box was a little confusing, especially since a few items I added apparently didn't count on the checklist, I eventually figured it out.
The hello baby box was totally worth it! I think it's probably the best one I've gotten. (I've gotten the trash from Amazon, the decent one from Walmart, and the cute bag from Target so far) It's probably the most "expensive" one I've gotten, being $8 in shipping, but with the 2 bottles, pacifier, onesie, hat, bib, full-size lotion, and so many awesome samples I definitely got my money's worth!

I do think everything on their own website is overpriced and some of the pages were hard to navigate, but I'd still recommend giving it a try!

Horrible horrible customer service

Horrible horrible customer service. You can not speak to a person. Only thru Chat. Placed my order and the website stated what day it would be delivered by. Check the tracking on that day and it had not even been shipped as of yet. Customer service says go by their shipping policy and not what the website says. REALLY…. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE….

Horrible Customer Service

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Babylist regarding a return. Despite providing all necessary tracking information and screenshots showing the return status and exception alert since June 19, Babylist has been utterly unhelpful in resolving the issue.

I returned a package to Babylist, and there has been no update on its status since June 19. I provided Babylist with the tracking number and explained that I did not receive a physical drop-off receipt from FedEx. Despite this, Babylist insisted that without the drop-off receipt, they could not process my return. This is highly frustrating, as the tracking number clearly indicates that the package left my address and encountered an exception.

Their response was dismissive and offered no real solution, simply suggesting that the package might eventually arrive at their returns center. This lack of assistance and rigid adherence to policy without considering the evidence provided has left me feeling ignored and unsupported.

I urge Babylist to reconsider their approach to customer service and returns, especially in situations where tracking information is available and the fault lies with the carrier. As a customer, I expected better support and a more reasonable resolution process. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing but frustrating, and I am left without a refund or store credit for my returned item.

Horrible customer service and overall use

Horrible customer service. On top of that when something came from them that was damaged not due to shipping but was packed this way they wanted me to go out of my way to ship it back for them to send me a new one. I refused and all I got was 8 dollar credit. The 15% discount code is only for one time use which is frustrating considering I have a large credit with them now. Totally disappointing.

Delays in Order Processing and Terrible Customer Service

On May 22nd, I purchased gifts - 3 items - for my great-nephew and his wife's baby shower. They live in another state and were going to be in town just for this shower on June 1st.

The date range for delivery of these items to my address was safely ahead of the shower date. I received one of the items within 4 days, but the tracking emails for the other 2 (Babylist shipped all 3 items separately) indicated that 1 of the items would be arriving on June 4th, and the 3rd one had not yet shipped.

I scoured the website for contact information and initially got a chatbot that referred me to an "article" through a pre-formatted list of complaints and questions. There was no telephone number or email address for customer service, but the chatbot finally offered me a chat with a service rep. In that chat, the service rep also sent me a link to an "article." She did research the order and responded that one of the items had been "fulfilled" on May 28th (6 days after the order) and the other on May 29th (7 days after the order), after telling me that it could take up to 3 days to "fulfill" an order before it's shipped.

I was up in flames with this useless explanation that was completely contrary to what had already actually happened.
1 - There was no statement made about a 3-day window for the "fulfillment" of an order prior to shipping;
2 - As the customer ordering the items, I don't care about when the order gets pulled, I care about when I receive it; and
3 - The items were "fulfilled" past the 3-day window, by an additional 3 and 4 days!!!
I had no choice but to go to Target and purchase a gift card to go with the gift item I'd already received, and to return the other 2 items when I do finally receive them.
I did notify the couple about the problem I had with Babylist, so they can skip this registry next time and can let their friends know.

Worst customer service ever

Worst customer service ever. Can't talk or chat with a human. Only pre-answered questions. I finally got through on email by stopping a paypal payment. If you order from a group gift they will not sent the gift even if you pay in full. In case someone else wants to jump in on it even though it's already paid. So I will be attending the baby shower without a gift. Only a promise.

I made a purchase 2 days ago. I've been trying to find out where the gift is being shipped. No customer service whatsoever! Every place you go to for help on the site sends you in a constant vicious cycle! I still have no idea where it is going or if I've actually bought it! NOT USER FRIENDLY STAY AWAY FROM PUYRCHASING! If there was a 1/4 star that's what i'd give for my experience!!!!

Deceitful markups

Not worth shopping using the BabyList.com store--quite literally everything is priced considerably higher than most other vendors. If you get roped into receiving e-gift cards, they will be applied to your BabyList account, only good for shopping through them, for marked-up prices.

Extremely Disappointed with BabyList.com - A Frustrating Experience

I had high hopes for BabyList.com when I placed an order worth $4,000 for my child, but my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. I made the order during the last week of June and received it much later than the anticipated delivery date, which was already disappointing. The real problems began when I decided to return the items.

After realizing that the products were overpriced and not worth the investment, my partner and I initiated the return process about a week or two later. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse. The carrier they recommended ended up losing the return package, and that's when the endless waiting and frustration began.

Despite my attempts to contact BabyList.com's customer support through chat and email (since they conveniently don't have a phone number), I've only received automated responses, which show a complete lack of care and empathy. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with an automated system when you're desperately seeking help and information about your hard-earned money.

When I managed to get a hold of a real person and explained the situation, they seemed disinterested and offered no concrete solutions. Instead, I was given generic responses about escalated cases and delays due to high customer support requests. No one seemed to take our situation seriously, and it's like we were just another number in the system.

The lack of communication and accountability from BabyList.com is appalling. I was told they can't issue a refund until the return is verified, but they seemed to overlook the fact that the package was lost by the carrier, not us. It's as if they don't care about their customers' struggles and are simply stalling the refund process.

It's been an entire month since we initiated the return, and we are still in the dark about our money. This has been an incredibly stressful and frustrating experience that I never expected from a supposedly reputable baby retailer. The complete lack of care and assistance from BabyList.com has left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I would strongly advise anyone considering shopping with them to look elsewhere.

In conclusion, BabyList.com has shown a severe lack of professionalism and concern for their customers. Their automated responses and inability to provide timely assistance are unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and choose a different baby retailer where your time, money, and needs are valued and respected. This has been an incredibly disappointing experience, and I regret ever choosing BabyList.com for my baby needs.
